I was born and brought up in Laugharne, but now live in Perth, Australia. I am aiming at developing a site, that I can show my children so they may have a glimpse of where I'm from, and for something that the rest of my family can associate with.

This is not meant to be a difinitive source of information on Laugharne, but more a comprehensive set of highlights at least from my prespective, due to the limited set of resources from my remote location. This is my first attempt at an internet site, though I do have experience of intranet development.

It has been said thet you can not really considered a Larnie unless your family have been living in Laugharne for at least three generations, I can not claim such a heritage. There are also rivalries within the town, originally between the Up Street inhabitants of the large well to do houses and those of the Down Street cottages. More recently between Orchard Park and the rest of Laugharne. Hopefully there is something in this website for the whole spectrum of the Laugharne community.
