FOX 2002
There's this tiny little island eight hours south,
Where people make new friends using their talented mouth.
Camp on this island is packed with fun,
You sleep under the stars and tan under the sun.
With the severe lack of sand and presense of rocks,
After a blink of an eye you know you're at Camp Fox.
A hike to Bible's Peak is a lot of work,
Especially when you hike with people who run up like a jerk.
Therre's the Buffalo Hike where you hike for eight miles,
Just to reach a nice place with a phone you can dial.
The trail is hard, hot, straight uphill, and long,
The scenery is so boring, you may even sing a song.
You need three to six people in one of the row boats,
And enough life jackets to help everyone float.
There are rope courses to climb,
And games where there are leaders to find.
While trying archery with a bow and arrow,
The staff is so careful it's hard to even hurt a sparrow.
Seeing all the fish while snorkeling is amusing,
But breathing through your mouth can defintiely get quite confusing.
There's so much to do while swimming in the ocean,
Unfortunately later, your legs will need lotion.
You can swim to the pier and play jump or dive,
When you get it correct you feel so alive!
Another option of excitement is to jump of the pier,
You feel a great accomplishment when you've just conquered a fear.
Themes at meal times balance out the tasteless food, So no matter what you eat you'll always be in a good mood.
Hawaiian, superhero, toga, and camo meals,
Let cabins come together ant alk about what's real.
The snack shack rips you off real bad,
But the candy is worth the money so your tummy won't feel sad.
For the burgs at camp fox are not too good,
Many are hard and taste like wood.
There are always events at the big dance to anticipate,
But who hooks up with who is to be left up to fate.
Girls live in villas out on the beach with no walls,
Guys live in cabins with railings where guys like mike fall.
Campfire songs are incredibly amusing,
From the penguin song to the jimmy brown song you'll have a hard time coosing.
We practice skits and dances all day,
To perform the show of the night as i hope some would say.
Songs during quiet time and dances during loud,
Makes campfire so much fun and a place where you can sing and stand up proud.
Seniors were cool at campfire this year,
Although it took me a while to understand why I love you-ba wasn't so queer.
Inside jokes were said and formed,
Like the buffalo hike where there was almost a storm.
Every campfire was such a blast,
That I kinda miss that it passed by so fast.
Morning Inspiration is touching with everyone's poems and speeches,
The love present in the air is all sweet with peaches.
Devotions is fun, sad, and interesting all the same,
And no matter what you say devotions isn't lame.
With lines in the bathroom and thongs on the floor,
It's easy to say that showers don't make me miss camp more.
But as much as i love the food i eat back at home,
I miss all my new friends I can only talk to by phone.
Camp is too short and way too great,
But be careful I'll be back, along with the rest of cabin eight.
So let me warn you right now that we will no be lazy,
In fact, one could say that we will be crazy!

We are the class that goes the extra mile
Fox is a place where you meet new people, and bond with your current friends. It's a place where you reunite with friends you've haven't seen for a year. It's a place where you can be whatever you want to be... and you're okay with people hating you for it, because the love from your friends is so strong. It's a place where you meet friends that you will never forget. Where you open up to people you barely know. Where you create friendships that last a lifetime. To all of you out there, people I know from past Fox years, and from any other camp or event, you are special to me, and I will never forget you. I will never stop loving you, no matter how far away you our, and no matter how distant we may get. because you've had an impact on my life, you've made a change. you've made me what i am right now. and I thank you for that. I hope to always keep in touch with you. For I know, for as long as we do, our love that was sparked at fox hasn't died yet. and I hope it never will.
