THE GROOVE BOX AND GIG BOX

GROOVE BOX

GROOVE BOX, is a hand percussion instrument. This Groove Box is based on CAJON concept. As the Cajon only can produce the "Snare" & "Bass" sound which I think something is lacking. So, I put two 6" tom attached on the left of the box, on the right is "Snare" & "Bass".

 

The position for playing the GB can be sitting on the floor like those Indian "Tabla" player or just put on a stand and play like normal CONGA player. This is the 1st prototype, which I think a little bigger. I am thinking to re-design another one, which is more compact and smaller and easy to carry around.
