Apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and son of President of Brigham Young. He was ordained an Apostle by his father at the age of nineteen, though he never sat in the Quorum of the Twelve fulfilling other various callings in success including missionary duties and stake president of Salt Lake Stake. With the death of George A. Smith, he was called as First Counselor to his father, Brigham Young. He was released a year later when the First Presidency was dissolved at his father�s death He was called as a Counselor to the Quorum of the Twelve (though not a member thereof) on October 6, 1877. He was released fourteen years later on October 6, 1891. |
