JOHN A. WIDSTOE

        Born poor, comfortless, cold, and with his arm attached to his head, a life of hardships had only began. Furthermore, his father died, and his mother became a social outcast by joining with the "Mormons," they then imgrated from Norway to be with the main body of the Saints.
A theoligical and scientific genius, while at Harvard University, he himself became convinced of the truth of the Mormon faith, then to Europe to study chemistry, eventually becoming president of the college.
        In 1921 he was called to the Twelve, he presided over the European mission.
