FREDERICK G. WILLIAMS
Woodland Cemetery
Quincy, IL
Second Counselor to the Prophet Joseph Smith.
Baptized at the age of forty-three in 1830 and ordained a High Priest just a year later.
He was called by revelation and fulfilled his calling faithfully.
However, rebelliousness later set in and after arriving in Missouri to settle discovered he had been excommunicated from the Church at Far West, MO and replaced by the Prophet's brother Hyrum.
Williams repented, on his headstone it reads, "BEING MOVED UPON BY THE HOLY GHOST WASHED MY FEET IN TOKEN OF HIS FIXED DETERMINATION TO BE WITH ME IN SUFFERING OR IN JOURNEYING IN LIFE OR IN DEATH AND TO BE CONTINUALLY ON MY RIGHT HAND - JOSEPH SMITH
He died in full fellowship of the Church.
