New Market, Tenn - Reid Silver, 77, of New Market, died Friday, Jan. 14, in a Jefferson City hospital.
Silver, a native of Yancey County, N.C., was a son of the late Welzie Arthur and Lillie Ogle Silver. He was a World War II veteran.
Surviving are a daughter, Denise M. Silver of New Market; a son, Keith King of California; a sister, Mary Ellen Gonce of Jefferson City; and a brother, Brook Silver of Burnsville, N.C.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Holcombe Bros. Funeral Home chapel Burnsville. The Rev. Stanley McMahan will officiate. Burial will be in McMahan Cemetery on Bee Branch.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
