"The Dark Age" it means the fifth work in the history of WHITE SKULL, and maybe the most ambitious project that they have confronted, to create a conceptual album is not easy task, although it is based on the humanity's quite dark time how it was the half age and the crimes of the "saint" inquisition. The band has been able to recreate that period in music form, endowing to the topics that the Cd composes by force, melody, tragedy, everything decorated with a good pleasure when the creation, basing the success of the disk on a taken care elaboration. Maybe the change in the vocal part of the band has something to see in the result, in this work WHITE SKULL uses for the first time singer, the Argentinean Gustavo "Gus" Adrián Gabano, the vocalist of the band becomes, replacing Federica De Boni that left the band at the beginning of the 2001 for personal problems. The production has run in charge of Luigi Stefanini (LABYRINTH, DARKMOOR, ELDRITCH) that has known as taking out him profit to the good material that the band had created. "The Dark Age" it is a good album of Heavy Metal, where those the overwhelming guitars and the heavy rhythms mix with melodies and choirs elaborated to get a final result of the most convincing thing. Fear overwhelming that like from a principle how the one that gives title to the Cd "The Dark Age" or "Grand Inquisitor" and "Devil´s Woman", in those that the voice of "Gus" carries out a phenomenal work, endowing them of great force, going by compositions with tints, maybe, more epic as "The Edict" or "Maid of Orleáns", having the pleasure of introducing a slow topic "Voice from Heaven" where the acoustic guitar accompanies the voice of "Gus" that demonstrates the variety of registrations that possesses its voice, here "it Tortures" or "New Crusade", in my opinion the best topic in the Cd, they are a classic composiciónes of Heavy Metal with quick riffs and overwhelming bases, fear that insurance will make throw away people in direct, they also include an instrumental, very calm topic interpreted with acoustic guitar "Theme for the Innocence" to close the Cd.
Good work of the Italians that without leaving to a side their musical style, if they denote an evolution in their sound, be maybe the new vocalist's incorporation, recommended for those that like of the Heavy Metal with a bit of Epic.

With 3 members of the original formation, (Steve Blaze, guitar, Ron Taylor, vocals and Darrin de Latte at bass), but the incorporations of Sam Poitevent to the second guitar and Ken Koudelka at drums, Lillian Axe recorded this double live Cd May, 4 of this year in the disco 19th Hole, Houston, Texas.
21 courts and almost 2 hours of concert it is what contains this "Live 2002" that demonstrates that Lillian Axe, having been in the "limbo" during almost 10 years, (from "Psychoschizophrenia" in 1993 since "Fields of Yesterday" it already consisted of topics recorded in their previous sessions), they have not lost their force, class and mainly their peculiar and almost only style of Hard American Rock of final of the ´80 and principles of the ´90. Making a journey for all their career and being centered something more in their second and more successful cd "Love + War",(1989), with courts as "Ghost Of Winter", the means time "All´s Fair In Love & War", "The World Stopped Turning" or "Show a Little Love." Songs of their premiere, 1988, as "Misery Loves Company" or the fantastic ballad "Nobody Knows"; from "Poetic Justice", published in 1992, "True Believer" and "Innocence" and of its already commented CD "Psychoschizo.......", the hardest and dark of their career, courts like "Deepfreeze", "Voices In My Wall" or the acoustics "The Day I Met You", everything it with a sound and production of high quality, with Taylor showing that in direct it maintains their great quality like vocalist and Blaze giving that particular sound to the melodies that have always differentiated it of the rest of the bands of the time.
At the moment the best direct published this year, in what refers to Hard American Rock, it hurts that it finds been published by such a small company. For well or for bad and at the present time on tour with Judas Priest, Lillian Axe is alive or like prays in their web site, (www.lillianaxe.com), "THE BITCH IS BACK!!"

3 years after their last work "Euphoria", one of the greatest band of Hard Melodic Rock, returns with a called CD "X", the tenth in their career, we are speaking, of course of Def Leppard.
Without changes in the formation for almost one decade, (Rick Allen, Phil Collen, Rick Savage and Joe Elliot), in which Vivian Campbell entered as second guitarist, the Englishmen have stayed in the difficult world of the musical fashions passing of her darker stage, (Slang 1996), to a partial recovery, (Euphoria 1999), among stockings, diverse recopilatorios of rarities and sides Bs
Well it seems that now apart from a bigger support on the part of the record label, the Leppard has been centered and a Cd according to the times has published, but without forgetting their roots. "X", it contains so much topics that they remind us to previous works like "You´re So Beautiful", "Everyday", "Four Letter Word" or "Scar", ballads as "Long Long Way To Go" and "Let Me Be The One" or the good quite song "Unbelievable." We also meet with topics, maybe less Def Leppard like their first sail "Now", "Torn To Shreds" or "Love Don´t Tied", but that yes, maintaining the quality to which have us accustomed on the whole English, excepting, from my point of view in "Slang."
Great CD of Def Leppard, in which have known how to insert to the perfection their past and to give the fair current touch, without their work falls in the deep moat of the impersonality, to the one which, so many groups have access. You will like provided you don't wait for yourself the paraphernalia of topics as "Make to Love Like TO Man" or "Pour Some Sugar On Me." By the way, from a lot of time that I didn't see them smile.

If it was a product of the Disney factory it would be something like:"¡Go in to the world of the dreams by the hand of Genius, a valiant boy that next to their friends Stationmaster, Wild Tribe King, Maindream and many more they will discover and they will count you of where the dreams come!"," With 12 new songs!", "Demand it to your parents starting from October 21 in your "supermarket" nearest!" For luck it is not it, so we will try to explain to it with the seriousness that deserves .
"Genius": first part of three of cousin of the multiplayer, Daniele Liverani, (Empty Tremos, Khymera). This, their first episode, call "A Human Into Dreams´World", based in Genius, their main character, the which is in charge of giving him voice Mark Boals, (Malmsteen, Ring Of Fire), it is caught in a strange parallel dimension, where it seems to be, he will know the explanation of the creation of the dreams. There, Genius or Mark Boals, will meet with different characters in which we are put big voices like that of Lana Lane, Daniel Gildenlow, (Pain Of Salvation), Chris Boltendhal, (Grave Digger), Joe Vana, (Mecca), John Wetton, (Uriah Heep, Asia), Oliver Hartmann, (At Vance) or the return, after almost a decade of Midnight, first vocalist of Crimson Glory. Adding to the drums the younger Dario Ciccioni, with only 19 years old, to the choirs to people of Dreamtide or Grave Digger and to the rest of the instrumentation to the creature's father, Daniele Liverani, we meet with a work with 12 courts with a total duration of 78 minutes that could be considered as a medley of Power Melodic Metal and Hard Progressive Rock with the which all the lovers of these musical styles will enjoy.
Pd: For luck, (and I apologize for the fans that can have), it is not the gentleman of the here "Ring of Fire" and their peculiar sound of Casio PT 10, the one which, it had transformed this Opera Rock into something more similar to the comment of the principle of the text. Thank you Vitalij to have other "chores."
It dates of exit: October 21.

John West leaves aside for to moment to Royal Hunt and Artension, to offer his new, third, solo release, "Earthmaker" it is to conceptual album that deepens in the own siger lives you become intimate yourself roots, inviting us to trip, accompanying to the native American spirit one that is embarked in its search of the vision to be able to meet with the creator, the "Earthmaker", along the album John West describes us the universe through the eyes of this spirit, making it in form of songs, in an interesting way introduces us in its form of understanding the music.
For the creation of the album it has had the collaboration of big names inside the Hard Rock, Chris Caffery (Savatage) and Metal Mike Chlasciak (Halford) guitars, Bobby Jarzombek at drums, Kevin Chown (Artension) at bass, and Lonnie Park (Cozy Powell) in the keyboards, besides the appearance like companies of the virtuous Andre Andersen (Royal Hunt) and Vitalij Kuprij playing the keybs. in the topic "When the World Collide", this without a doubt one of the best of the album, with some impressive voices on the part of J. West.
Although we won't discover now the qualities of the voice of J. West, really in this album it embroiders it completely, the topics are varied, from the pure force of "Soul of the Beast", "Sleep of the Dead" or "Love is Pain", until the sweet melodies of the means times "Life", "Mystic Wings" or the moving one "Soul to Soul." J. West is really extended, creating songs to its pleasure, without undergoing the talent of other, offering the best in its repertoire, becoming trained that its registrations are varied and extensive, maybe today per today can be, in my opinion, one of the most complete vocalists. Of course in the album we will be able to find references to other bands in those that the vocalist has militated or militates at this moment, Bad Lands, Lynch Mob, Artension, Royal Hunt, etc.. But without leaving aside an own style, a personal way to understand the Hard Rock.
Sincerely I recommend it to you, it won't leave you indifferent.

Street Talk: is the project of Fredrick Bergh (Keyboards) , to the one that initial and circumstantially the great vocalist united Goran Edman (Yngwie Malmsteen) . Rest of the band is formed by Sven Larsson ,guitar, Bjorn Lodmark, bass and Christian Johansson drums. This CD also bill with the collaborations of Kimmo and Erka of Urban Tale to the choirs and Tommy Denander to the guitar in some of the topics, also, Hugo, (Valentine, Open Skyz), it puts the voice at 2 of the songs of this 3er work of S.T. call "Restoration."
10 songs of Melodic Rock, very clean and defined guitars and a very good production make some of this CD without a doubt the best in the three published by the band. Cuts with the quality of "Give Me TO Reason", "Language Of Love" or "Hare & Honds", "Dancer in the Rain" or the quiet "Tables Turning." If to that we add the 2 topics that like we comment before, Hugo Valenti sings, ("My Heart Beats For You" and "Why Is My Heart Feeling Lonely Tonight"), giving him the feeling and good style that it characterizes it and maintaining that voice tone that he reminds us in occasions to the same Steve Perry of the classic Jouney.
In conclusion: Rock AOR with Class that won't defraud you.
