Under the artistic direction of Marcelo Juarez Villa, CACHONDO III: la noche latina will
bring you a powerful and spicy mix of the best Afro-Latin music. The tropical warmth of
Latin house, Afro-Cuban electro performances, the extreme energy of the dansers, the
drags and Afro-Colombian dancing will keep you moving all evening long.
Last year, Divers/Cité, Montreal's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender pride
organization, welcomed over 600,000 people to the parade, with about1 million people
participating in last year's 7 day festival. Montreal's pride expands this year to a 10 day
festival, dedicated to the queer communities and its cultures, and welcomes Canadian and
international tourists and Montrealers alike from July 28th to August 6th, 2001.
