Papaya Miracle Facial Peel
Why spend $65 to $ 125 at a salon for one of those costly "mini-peels," when you can get the same or better results at home for less than $ 2.00? Papayas contain the enayme papin, which is used in many very expensive facial peels. You can give yourself an easy, low-cost peel in the privacy of your own home! Here's how: Take the pulp of a ripe papaya, mash it, and spread a thin layer of the pulp over the face. Leave on your face for 2 minutes. Rinse well with cool water to close the pores. The skin will then feel dry and taught. You should begin to see some drying and peeling within 24 hours.
Warning: Do not leave on your skin for longer than 2 minutes. This is some stong stuff! If after a few days you don't feel that it was deep enough peel, wait a week or two and try adding and extra minute with the mixture on the face. But don't apply more often than this. You can seriously dry out and damage your skin abusing this little natural remedy. |

Vita-Mint Cantaloupe Moisturizer For a refreshing moisturizer that's loaded with vitamins A, B & C, (all of which are beneficial to the skin) try this homemade formula for soft, supple skin. Cantaloupe is one of the most neutral of the fruits, excellent as a vitamin-enriched moisturizer, and the mint adds its beneficial properties as well:
Mash the pulp of a wedge of fresh cantaloupe, and stir in chopped pieces of fresh mint leaves. Before showering, spread the mixture all over the skin (you can use this as an all-over moisturizer). Wait a while for the vitamins to penetrate (As long as you can stand it!). Shower and rinse, but avoid using harsh soap. This one is even suggested before going out. It makes you feel just great! |
