| I opened my eyes and stared at the light in front of me. I started making faces and just laughed. I turned my head to one side and saw Roberto, Thomas and Nick. To the other side, I saw Jules. I smiled but they couldn�t see me. �Hey guys!� They didn�t even look up. �You guys, smile.� Then I saw the tears coming from Nick�s eyes. �Baby, why are you crying.� He wiped them away and I looked over at Jules. She was crying as well. I shook my head and saw the doctor come in. �It�s time to put her to rest.� �What in the world?� I cried out. �Thanks for letting us see her one last time.� �You�re welcome Mr. Carter. I�m sorry the bullet hit her where it did. I tired to save her, but it was to late.� I gasped and looked around me. �No way!� I yelled out. �Breathe in and out, Theresa.� I turned around and lost my mind. �You died.� �Yup, and so did you.� �No. I have so much more to do in life. I couldn�t have died.� �You did. You�ll see Nick again.� �I want to see him now. Oh God, why did I die?� �Cause he wanted you to come up here with us.� I nodded my head and looked over at my mom. �I missed you mom.� �I missed you too baby. Just think you can watch over all of them now.� I nodded my head and looked back at them. I glanced at everyone. They were wearing black and crying. I felt bad. If it wasn�t for me, they wouldn�t be here. �If that was the case, they also wouldn�t love you.� I felt my mom touch my arm and sighed. �Will I go to Heaven?� �Yes. In the meantime, you�re here on Earth to watch over Nick and the Boys, and your boys.� �And just how am I supposed to do that, I�m dead.� �You�ll find way.� I smiled and glanced back over at Nick. I started walking over and just stared. He looked up to Heaven and I couldn�t help but smile. I looked down at my hand and figured I would try. I put my hand on his cheek. He looked up and I could have swore he saw me. He covered his cheek and frowned. I closed my eyes and whispered in his ear. �I�m always going to be here, watching you. Just call my name if you need me. I will be waiting for you baby. I love you.� I kissed his cheek and walked away. �Dad?� Nick looked down at his son and picked him up. �Yes?� �What are you smiling at?� �Your mother. You know she�s watching out for you. So you guys have to behave, right?� Thomas just nodded his head but Roberto just stared ahead. �Dad, did you hear her talking to you?� �Yeah, I did.� �I did too. Mommy is going to be with us.� �Yup, she�s not going to leave us alone.� I smiled at them. They would pull together and if they needed me, they knew they could find me. I looked on the past, and the future and just pictured Heaven. I pictured Angels and all the glory that people wrote it as. I smiled at myself and just thought about the truth. �Only The Truth Be Told.� |
