| �Oh yeah, AJ was telling me that. Well, I won�t keep you anymore. Bye.� I smiled and waved. I groaned to myself, thinkin� about the last three months. I had hardly seen my best friends. Either AJ or Megan. I saw Megan when she came to work cause she all but moved in with AJ. She would come home just for a change of clothes. Not like she did that either since her and AJ went out all the time. And I hadn�t seen AJ. I missed talkin� with him. This last thing with the album wasn�t something I really cared about, it was just something to blow up about, seeing how I couldn�t see my best friends. I hadn�t been spending a lot of time with Howie. In fact, since he proposed, we seem to be spending less time together. But, he was spreading the news around about the marriage with his family. And work really picked up for me. I usually had like five interviews to do with in a weeks time. I sighed and turned to turn my computer on. I heard a knock on the door and looked up to see AJ standing there. �Yeah McLean?� I asked, watching my computer upload. �Come with me,� he said, walking over to my desk. �What?� I asked, looking up at him �Come with me. Have lunch with me.� �Whatever AJ. Weren�t you going out with Megan?� �No. I called to see what you were doing.� �Whatever AJ. I can�t today anyway, I have work to do.� He stood up and unplugged my computer. �No, you can do that later, we need our time.� I rolled my eyes. �Don�t do that Resa,� he said, a smile appearing on his face. �Please. I�ve missed you!� �Oh, that�s bull shit if I ever heard it. But fine, but I can�t be gone too long.� �Whatever. Come on.� He grabbed my hand and we flew out of my office. �Bye babe, I�ll see ya when we come back.� She laughed and just waved. �Oh my God! Theresa!!!� Megan screamed. I came running into her room, my skirts following me. �What?� �My flowers.� I laughed and pointed on the chair. She smiled her thanks. I walked out of the room and finished putting on my make up. �THERESA!!!� �What Megan?� �My veil.� I laughed and pulled her in my arms. �Megan, look at me.� She looked at my eyes, fear written in them. �Megan, everything will be okay. Trust me.� �I know. It�s just a big day and I�m really nervous.� �I know. Just think, you�ll have THE AJ MCLEAN!� �Oh yeah, so fans can hate me now?� �No, they�re happy for you. I�ve gotten tons of messages and they are happy. Yeah, of course some hate you, but hey, I�m hated too!� She sighed and sat down on the couch. She fixed her skirts and looked up at me. �I�m not making a mistake am I?� I looked at her. �Megan, he is the man for you. The love of your life. You are his everything! Without each other, you two have nothing. I�ve never seen a love like yours. It�s pure, it�s passionate and it�s something that will stand the test of everything. I don�t know if D and I even have that kind of love.� �Please! We all know you do.� �And you do too. Marriage is not a mistake. I know AJ! He�s just as nervous as you are. Now, don�t go tripping over your skirts and you�ll be fine.� She laughed and gave me a hug. �Thanks for being such a good friend.� �Hey, I rather enjoy it.� We hugged again and I helped put her veil on. I fixed it around her face and wiped a tear off my face. �Hey now, save that for after the wedding,� she said. �I know. But you just look so lovely and it�s hard to believe this day has actually come. I thought for sure it would be a while away. It feels like you just came down.� �I know. Thanks Theresa, for always being there, supporting me and everything. I love you girl.� I quickly hugged her. �I love you too chica.� �Wow, now I must have died and gone to Heaven. Don�t you think so Bri?� Howie said, stepping into the room. �Oh yeah. Two lovely women. Man!� He walked up to Megan and gave her a hug. �I�m so happy for you Megan. I know you two will be happy together.� �Thanks Brian.� He kissed her cheek and walked out of the room. I gathered up my skirts and went into my room, finishing up my hair and getting myself collected. Howie walked up to Megan and smiled. �I�m happy for you Megan. You have made AJ so happy. No one has every made him like this. I thought I would die before I saw AJ finally find that someone. But, he did and I couldn�t be happier seeing that it�s you. Ya know, if AJ hadn�t really snagged ya a long time ago, I might have done something,� he said smiling. �Sure, if you think so D. Sides, you had Tiffany way back when.� �Oh yeah, how could I forget I had her?� �Don�t know.� �I�m very happy for you Megan,� he said quietly, pulling her in a hug and kissing her cheek. �Are you ready?� She took a deep breath and slowly let it out. �Yeah.� �Good. I�m going to go get Resa.� He smiled at her and walked into the adjoining room. �Resa?� �Hmm?� I said, looking at myself in the mirror. I fixed my hair, trying to get things in the right place and groaned when I couldn�t. �I hate my hair,� I mumbled. �Well, I don�t,� Howie said, placing his hands on my shoulders. �Yeah well, that�s your feelings.� He smiled and knelled down beside me. �You�re nervous.� �Yeah and? It�s my best friends! And they�re getting married.� �And what are you going to be like when we get married.� �A sorry sight,� I said, smiling. �Come on, we have a wedding to attend to.� �I love you Theresa, and I can�t wait till it�s our day.� �Sure you do, and you wanted Megan too right?� He smiled and shook his head. �You heard?� |
