| �I hope your boyfriend takes good care of you,� the sales lady said, smiling at Shannon then at Howie. Shannon just smiled. She wanted to laugh but the lady was already piercing her ears. �There, all done,� she said. Shannon got out of the chair and let Howie sit down. He told the lady that he wanted a sliver hoop that said �amor�. They had finished and just started wondering around and then they found this stuffed animal place and Shannon and Howie decided to go and see what it was like. Howie found the cutest bear holding a red rose. Shannon saw a bear just like that and got it for AJ. They left the store and realized they were both hungry. It was already going on 11:30 and they decided to go eat at one of places in the mall. They sat down and the waitress come and asked what they wanted to drink. They told her and as she started walking away handed Shannon a paper. She read what it said and started laughing. �What�s so funny?� Howie asked. Shannon handed the note to Howie and read it. He joined in on her laughter. �Why do people always assume that friends are going out?� Shannon asked. �You�ve got me.� I sat down in the chair. �God, it�s been three years since the last time I did this.� �Hey. I�m going to go and get mine done,� AJ said. He looked over at Mike. AJ got a look on his face like he was going to kill him. I looked over at Mike and noticed that he was undressing me with his eyes. �Alex, don�t worry. I�ll be okay,� I said. He finally looked down at me and smiled. �I�ll be back,� he said and left. �Who�s that?� Mike asked as he came up behind me. He took the strap off my shoulder and study where I wanted the tattoo to go. He finally started the tattoo. A tear fell from my eye. I started thinking about Howie and Emily. How that little bitch hurt my man. Mike finally finished. �There, all done.� He put some things on it and put the strap back up. He let his hands linger on my shoulder. AJ walked in and saw Mike. �Excuse me, get your hands off my girl,� AJ said. �Your girl? This is your girlfriend?� Mike asked. �Yeah, didn�t I just say that?� �Sorry. I thought she was single.� �Well, she�s not. Come on baby,� AJ said, helping me out of the chair. AJ paid for the tattoos and left. I handed him the money but he wouldn�t accept it. �It�s a little treat for my girlfriend,� he said. We both cracked up. �What would Mike do if you weren�t there?� I asked, finally able to breathe. �You sure you want to know?� �Well, since you put it that way..� �No, maybe just hit on you. But then you already knew what he was like.� �Yeah. Are you hungry?� �A little,� AJ said, smiling. �Well, I know that�s a lie. Come on. McDonald�s and I�ll buy.� �That�s cool.� We went to McDonald�s and went in to order. We stayed for 45 minutes then left. We arrived home around 1:15 and pulled up right behind Howie�s car. We walked into the house and saw Shannon and Howie watching TV. �Hey guys. Miss us?� AJ called out. Shannon leapt up from the couch and gave AJ a big hug. �I missed you,� she said, kissing him. She pulled away and looked at me. �What? I don�t get a hug?� I asked Shannon. �Sorry, I was just thinking of something.� She walked over to me and gave me a hug. �Did it hurt?� she asked me. �Yeah, it did. Did those, um, diamonds hurt?� �Yeah, but Howie kept me strong,� she said, smiling. I walked over to Howie. �What, I don�t get a hug either? Geez, I�m loved.� I started to walk away when Howie grabbed me by my waist and pulled me down on his lap. He brushed my cheek with his hand and gave me a sweet kiss. �So, how does it look?� Howie asked. He tried to move the strap, but I wouldn�t let him. �You asked to see it later and that�s what your going to get.� �I can�t wait.� �Hey, when are the guys coming over?� AJ asked. �They should be here..� a knock on the door stopped Howie, �now.� I went to open the door and saw Kev, Brian, and Nick. �Hey guys. Come in,� I said. They walked in and gave me a hug. �So, are we going swimming?� Nick asked. �Yeah, just let us change,� I said as I went to go put my bikini on. �Hey Theresa?� A knock came on bedroom door. �What Howie?� I asked, putting my bikini top on. �I�m going with AJ to get some trunks and changing clothes. I�ll be back in a few okay?� �Yeah,� I called out. �Can I come in?� Howie asked. �Sure,� I said, slipping a shirt over the bikini. �I just wanted to give you a kiss bye,� Howie said as he stepped into the room. �That�s sweet. Come here,� I said. He wrapped his arms around my waist. I leaned my head against his shoulder and smelled his cologne. �Cool Water�, I thought. I pulled my hand up to pull a loose strand of his hair back into place when I brushed his ear. He cringed a little and I noticed he had a sliver hoop in his ear. �Oh, does it say anything like Shannon�s?� I asked. �Yeah, �amor�,� he said as his lips pressed against mine. �Yo D, come on. Opps, sorry,� AJ said. We pulled apart and I smiled at AJ. �It�s okay, Alex. Howie was just leaving.� �Bye,� he said, giving me a quick kiss. After the guys left, I walked into the living room to join the group. I sat down on the floor and leaned against Nick�s legs and watched TV. He started to rub my shoulders and I let out a gentle screech. �Oh, I�m sorry. I didn�t mean to hurt you,� Nick said, giving me a smile. �No, you didn�t hurt me. You just hit my tattoo,� I said, leaning back against his legs. �Tattoo? You got a tattoo? Is that your first one?� Brian asked, looking over at me. He sat upright. �No, it�s my second,� I answered. �Oh, cool,� Kevin commented. �Yeah, I guess. But it hurts, a lot. Not like the first one I got, though. That one was easy but hard. I can�t explain it.� �So, Theresa, what did AJ get?� Shannon asked. |
