| �Ready?� he asked as I opened the door. �Yeah, just need my purse,� I said as I went to the table and grabbed it. I locked the door and we left. AJ went and held the door to his Expedition open. �Thanks,� I said as I got in. �So, where is this place?� I asked. �Well, like on the other side of town. It takes me half an hour to get there.� �That�s cool.� AJ bent down and turned the radio on. �If you want Theresa, I have some CD�s in the glove compartment.� �Okay.� I pulled them out and looked them over. I finally picked Will Smiths �Big Willie Style�. I put in on track 8, which was Miami. I sat my head back and closed my eyes. After a few moments, I opened my eyes and looked over to AJ. �Hey Alex, what are you going to put on the Panther�s stomach?� I asked. �Oh, her name,� he said. �Okay, what�s her name?� I�m sure I already knew, but I just wanted to make sure. �Um, Shannon,� he said, glancing over at me. �Oh, that�s cool.� I smiled at the fact that he was going to do something like that. �I�m sure she would love something like that,� I said. AJ just looked over at me with a look like how-do-you-know-what-I-was-thinking. �For some strange reason Alex, I know you.� �Oh, if you say so,� he said, laughing. For the next twenty minutes we just sat there and talked. He pulled up to tattoo place and helped me out of the car. We walked inside and AJ put his hand on my waist. �Sorry. I�m not sure who�s working here and if they think that you�re with me, they won�t try anything,� he whispered into my ear. �I understand,� I said as I gave him a smile. �Yo AJ. Getting another one, huh?� a man asked coming out of the back room. �Yeah, I am. Joe met Theresa. Theresa, this is the man who has done all my tattoos.� �It�s nice to met you,� I said, extending out my hand. �Oh, the pleasure is mine,� he said as he took my hand and kissed it. AJ pulled me closer to him and Joe noticed this. �Oh, sorry man. Didn�t know she was yours,� Joe said, releasing my hand. �That�s cool. So, are you taking care of someone?� AJ asked. I couldn�t help but smile. I thought it was too funny. This poor guy thought me and AJ were a couple. �Right Theresa?� AJ asked. �I�m sorry, what did you say?� �That your going to get a tattoo too?� AJ asked. �Oh yeah,� I said, pulling the drawing out of my purse. �Wow, that looks cool,� AJ commented. �Thanks.� �Okay. How about letting Mike take care of Theresa since he could do something like this.� �Mike?� AJ asked. �Yeah. Don�t worry. He won�t try anything,� Joe said. �Fine,� AJ said. �Theresa follow me.� He took me into one of the rooms and I met Mike. �Mike, do this for her,� Joe said. �Okay,� he said, not taking his eyes from my body. �Hey Theresa, I�m going to make a quick call,� AJ said. �That�s cool,� I said as he gave me a quick hug. �Don�t worry. I�ll be back to comfort you,� he said, flashing a smile and leaving. Shannon got up and went to go get something to drink. She passed by the table and saw a note for her. Good morning sweetheart. Here�s the keys to my car if you want to go back home. If you do, I�ll see ya there. Love You, Alexander �Wow, his car� Shannon thought. �Where should I go? Let�s stay here then I�ll go home.� She went to get a drink of juice and called the house to see who was there. �Hello?� someone asked. �Hey Howie. Has Theresa already left?� Shannon asked. �Yeah like 15 minutes ago.� Shannon looked over at the clock and it read 9:20. �Okay. Well, I�ll be there by 10:00. Wanna go out?� she asked. She didn�t know how long AJ and I were going to be and she really didn�t feel like staying home. �Sure. Any plans?� he asked. �Yeah. I�ll let you know when I get there.� �That�s cool. See ya in a few.� �Bye,� Shannon said. She went upstairs, took a shower, got dressed and left. She reached the house and saw Howie�s dark purple corvette in the driveway. She went inside and found Howie sitting on the couch watching TV. �Hey D,� she said, closing the door behind her. �Hey Shannon. So, what�s your idea?� Howie asked as she sat down beside him. �I want to pierce my ear and I figured you could use an extra hole, too.� �Yeah, I guess I could,� Howie said. �Then maybe lunch. I�m not sure how long AJ and Theresa are going to be.� �That�s cool. Well, let�s get ready,� Howie said. Half a hour later they were getting in Howie�s car. �AJ let you take his car? Man, that boy loves you.� �Why?� Shannon asked with a smile on her face. �Because I�m usually the only person who�s allowed to touch his car. His own mom can�t drive it,� he said, laughing. Howie saying that made Shannon blush a little. �Let�s go to the mall and get it done there,� Shannon said, changing the subject. �That�s cool. Just hand me my cap, please.� They found a parking space and went into the mall. They finally found this cute store that had cute earrings. �Wanna go first?� Howie asked Shannon. �Sure. Just hold my hand.� Howie just gave her a reassuring smile. She picked two diamonds for her third hole and a silver hoop that said �Alex� for her other hole at the top of her ear. The lady came and got everything ready. |
