�Wow. You dance that so well,� Howie said wrapping his arms around me.
�Thanks. I�m glad you like it,� I said bending over and giving him a kiss.
�Would you guys go get us drinks?� Shannon asked.
�Sure,� they said. A few minutes later and we were refreshed and got back on the floor. �These Are The Time� by Dru Hill came on and Howie and Shannon went on the dance floor. Soon followed by AJ and I.

�Hey Shannon. What was Theresa�s last few relationships like?� Howie asked.
�Well, the last one was good. She had gone out with Lance Bass. Then her one before that was really hard for her to deal with.�
�What happened?�
�Well, it was an abusive relationship. Well, I�ll just tell you the story. Neil was her boyfriend for 3 and a half years. I guess he had the bad boy image and she wanted to go out with him. They were so much in love. But things started to change when they moved in together. This was like their third year going out. Anyways, he would come home drunk and then like an hour later she would show up at my place all sore and stuff. I finally figured out that he was hitting her. She knew she had to leave, but she didn�t know how. Well, one night he got in an accident due to driving drunk. He was put in the hospital for like a month. After that she couldn�t take anymore. So she broke it off. Well, then he told me he was glad because he could get with the girl that he was seeing. I told her and that hurt her really bad.�
�I didn�t know.�
�Yeah, that�s something she likes to keep to herself. Ask he about her boyfriends and the only person she�ll talk about is Lance.�
�Oh. Maybe that�s why she was worried about this whole Emily thing.�
�Could be,� Shannon said, giving him a smile.
�Thanks Shannon. You�ve been a great help,� Howie said, kissing her on the cheek.
�Well, I�m always here if you need anything,� Shannon said.

�Wow, I wonder what they�re talking about,� AJ said.
�So do I. It better not be about Neil,� I said.
�Who�s Neil?� AJ asked, looking at me.
�Um, Neil is my ex-boyfriend.�
�Oh, what happened?� AJ asked. He glanced over to Shannon and Howie. He didn�t catch the hurt look in my eye but he did catch the tear that fell from my eye. �Oh, if you don�t want to talk about it, I understand,� AJ said.
�Let�s just say our relationship ended really bad,� I told him.
�I understand.� AJ stopped dancing when a woman came up and gave him a kiss.
�Hi baby. How are you? Did you miss me?� the woman asked.
�Amanda, what the fuck do you think you�re doing?� AJ asked.
�Seeing my boyfriend,� Amanda said, getting closer to him. I just looked at Amanda, wanting to hit her. From what AJ said, I knew he didn�t like her.
�Excuse me, I�m not your boyfriend.� As the song ended I heard someone behind me ask �who this was�.
�Shannon, baby, this is Amanda. My EX-girlfriend,� AJ said.
�Oh, I see,� Shannon said, looking over at Amanda. I looked down at Shannon�s hand, it was in a fist already. Then the song �The Boy Is Mine� came on.
�No, AJ�s wrong. I�m his girlfriend,� Amanda said, putting her arms around AJ�s waist. I put my arms out and slapped her arm hard, my hand print was defined.
�Bitch,� she told me.
�Okay. No one calls my best friend a bitch and gets away with it,� Shannon said, stepping closer to Amanda. Amanda, for the first time, looked Shannon over and she knew that if Shannon wanted to fight, Amanda would be leaving with lots of marks.
�Oh, what are you going to do about it?� Amanda asked. I saw Shannon getting closer to Amanda.
�Amanda, this is Shannon, my wife. She�s pregnant, so we got married two weeks ago,� AJ said. We all knew that was a lie but we knew that Amanda had to leave or her little face would be black and blue.
�What? Your married?� Amanda asked. She couldn�t believe what she just heard.
�Yeah, I am.� AJ walked over and put his arms around Shannon�s waist and kissed her. Amanda ran over to Emily and they left crying.
�AJ, we need to talk,� Shannon said, grabbing AJ�s hand and pulled him outside.

�Please explain to me what happened in there?� Shannon asked.
�Amanda is my ex-girlfriend. She broke up with me because she said she couldn�t trust me. That was 4 months ago. After we broke up, I found out that when I was touring, she had another guy. Even after she broke up with me, she always played like we were a couple. That�s why she acted like that in there. It took me awhile but I finally figured out she was only after the money. I never tried to be friends with her. So, that�s all about Amanda,� AJ said. Shannon just looked at the stars. She could feel AJ come closer. �Please say something baby,� AJ said.
�I won�t lie AJ. When I saw Amanda all over you, that hurt. I know you already talked to Theresa and I�m sure you know my past relationships, so watching that made me think you would hurt me and leave me. I want you to promise me that you would never do that,� Shannon said, looking into his brown eyes. She once thought she was sure he wouldn�t do anything, that he cared too much.
�Baby, if I ever hurt you or lose you, a part of me will die. You truly mean too much to me. I promise��
�Shh, don�t say anymore,� Shannon cut in, giving him a kiss that came from the heart. AJ could feel all the love in that kiss. He kissed her back with just as much love, and passion.

�What is taking AJ and Shannon so long,� I wondered. But, since I knew them, I knew what was going on.
�May I have this dance Ms.Lambe?� Brian asked as her put his hand on my waist.
�I suppose,� I said, giving Brian a sweet smile.
�Don�t you have to ask?� Brian asked, looking at Howie.
�Please. He won�t mind me dancing with a friend.� Both me and Brian laughed. It was our little inside joke.
�So, I guess that fight you had was about Emily?� he asked.
�Yeah. Actually, it wasn�t a fight. We just talked. And the talking hurt.�
�Oh. AJ told us what Emily did this morning. I�m so sorry you saw all of that. If you ever need anyone to talk to, I�m here. And I�m sure the other guys would be there too. I never like to see a girl as beautiful as you having her heart broken. It kills the stars that shine in your eyes. And you have such beautiful stars,� Brian said. I knew that I could count on him for anything.
�You, B-Rok, are really sweet,� I said as I gave him a bug hug. For the rest of the dance, we stayed like that.
