| �Shannon and Howie.� �This story is gonna leak, someone will look for it.� �Who?� �Someone trying to make a name for herself.� My mind flashed, remembering a scene, a lone reporter in a club, trying to find any information she could on me. I sighed, shaking my head. �No one knew, no one could know,� my mind thought, yet deep inside, it could be possible for someone to figure it out. I glanced at my manager and sighed once again. �I gotta go.� I quickly left the room and called our final group meeting. �The press conference is in a few days. And I have a gut feeling someone will ask a question that might surprised you come the conference.� �What�s wrong Theresa?� I just glanced at Jennifer. �I have a brother.� �We know that,� Megan interrupted. �No, not James. I mean Alexander.� �Who�s that?� Terri asked, a look of shock in her eyes. �Alexander James from the Backstreet Boys.� Except for Shannon, all eyes opened wide. �How come you never told us?� �Because Megan, it was late in the game. When we all got together, I hardly remembered him. Shortly after that, Denise, out of the blue, called me. From there, everything was different. �God, everyone fuckin� lies in this group!� Megan said. �Yeah, but you Ms. Bitch should not be so fuckin� pissed off at Shannon. You loved Brian long before they broke up. Plus you and him had made the first move. Remember that harmless little kiss?� Megan�s face paled and she just stared at me. �How did you know?� �Brian told me.� �Why?� �Because I was friend and that�s what he needed at the time.� �I can not believe this shit! Come on you guys, we�re supposed to be friends, nothing is supposed to come between that,� Jennifer said, jumping out of her seat and glaring at the girls. �Tell friends to stop fuckin� other men,� Megan retorted. �Oh, fuck you Megan. Remember, you were the first one to take someone else�s man!� Shannon glared at Megan and Megan shifted in her seat. �Whatever has gone on, happened. We can not change, we can only deal with. We all understand that Trinity is over, we�re through as friends. Maybe one day we can pick up the pieces, but I hardly doubt it. Meshelle wanted us to open the conference in a different fashion. She wanted us to open it up with our last three singles, what do you all think?� The girls just nodded their head. �If this is supposed to be our last call in everything, we�re gonna finish it off with a bang.� Yet, at that point in time, I had no idea how true the words I were speaking, really was. We sat there, just glancing at each other, just for this one time, letting the peace settle in. Once again, all three songs were battling for the number one spot on the charts and it was amazing. It was funny though, cause songs off of our last album were still on the charts. I glanced at Jennifer, the write of �Why� and nodded my head. She smiled, and played her keys, opening the song. �Tonight I look to see/ Where we will be/ Hand in hand you in my arms or/ Just another lonely night/ You and me that�s the way it should be/ Together forever I wish it could be, so tell me why you have to leave me here/ Without you hand in mine and without your heart/ Why?�� Jennifer smiled at Terri and Terri took the next verse and than they both shared the next one. �All this time I thought you were true/ Your heart so pure filled with love so sweet/ I began to see the distance in your eyes/ But that I didn�t want to believe/ Together forever, why can't you see?/ You and me that�s the way it should be/ Together forever I wish it could be, so tell me why you have to leave me here/ Without you hand in mine and without your heart/ Why?�� Jennifer picked the next line, only sharing the verse with Megan. �All I can ask is why/ All those endless nights are but a memory now/ I saw a long road only to learn that it has ended here/ Deceit and lies, that is what I will remember, but most of all that first night�� Shannon took the next one, followed by me. �You and me that�s the way it should be/ Together forever I wish it could be, so tell me why you have to leave me here/ Without you hand in mine and without your heart/ Why?/ We promised each other the world/ Which only came to crumble in front of my eyes/ Knowing all things happen for a reason/ I still can't help but to ask why?�� Jennifer enjoyed the song, and finished it off, letting the music die down after words. �You and me that�s the way it should be/ Together forever I wish it could be, so tell me why you have to leave me here/ Without you hand in mine and without your heart/ Why?�� They clapped, enjoying the final show. �We welcome you to this press conference, though, we still have two more songs before we get to the questions. Our gift to you, and the fans, for being so wonderful to Trinity,� Terri said, smiling at the crowd. I started softly playing the symbols while Shannon softly strummed her guitar. Jennifer came in a few moments later, playing a few soft keys. Megan slowly came in and soon, Shannon started off the verses. �From the moment I first saw you/ My life was changed forever/ I got lost in your beautiful eyes/ While you voice soothed my body (and soul)/ In that moment, your love shot right through me/ Now you seem to always be on my mind/ There is no way I could even stop this/ (Not that I would even want to try)�� The rest of us came in for the chorus and Terri took the next two verses. �CHORUS: Saying goodbye is not possible/ (I love you), even harder to say/ I need your (touch), your (love), your (affections)/ But I know they can only be mine (in dreams)/ These dreams came true one night/ A time that will be in my heart for all eternity/ You spoke my name so softly/ And touched me as if I were your one and only/ You are the one I will love all my life/ The one who has seen me for me/ Somehow I know you feel the same/ Yet your heart is not free�� Once again, we came in on the chorus, letting Shannon take the next verse and us once again, finishing off the song, letting it the dying notes just linger. �Repeat Chorus/ (For one night), you were mine/ (For one night), I was yours/ It was a love that could last a lifetime/ A love strong and true/ That one night is all I have left/ (Just that) and my dreams of you/ Repeat Chorus�� The crowd cheered and we smiled ever so sweetly at them. �This next song is a personal favorite it of mine. Things always tend to happen in life and since the dawn of time, we were taught, it�s just never to late to do anything or say anything,� I said, laughing a little. Terri just smiled at me and asked for the bass drum and a drum roll please. I started it off, the music jumping in right after that. �You know life can tend to pass by/ People come, people go/ Some in a fast pace, a hurry/ Some just enjoying the show/ We�ve all be told to relax/ To just sit back and enjoy/ Things will happen in due time/ Don�t hurry it on by�� Megan had the first verse, I took the second and we all came in for the line and the chorus. Terri took the next verse. |
