| �After the things he said, no one would want anything to do with him.� AJ glanced down at her and smiled. She looked up, meeting his gaze. AJ rubbed her cheeks, taking the tears with his fingers. His gaze flew to the pouty lips that were staring at him, begging him for a kiss. He lifted her head up a little bit more, his lips softly brushing hers. She sighed, finally content. His lips finally crushed hers, pulling her against his body. Her hands ran up his arms, her hand cupping the back of his neck. His tongue caressed her lips, seeking access and finally getting it. Tentatively, Shannon�s tongue touched his, both caressing, both teasing. And after breath less moments, AJ pulled away. �Shannon, I have a confession. I think I�m in love with you.� �I have one too. I know I�m in love with you.� AJ smiled, taking her lips once again, branding them as his. His hands slid under her shirt, raising it up. She smiled at him and took it off, exposing soft, luscious breasts to his hot view. �I want you Shannon.� �Just like I�ve wanted you.� With that, AJ kissed her once again, flipping them over, giving in to his love for her. I paced my room, waiting, annoyed for a gut feeling was telling me something was very amiss amongst the group of friends. I sighed, looking out the window. Another raining day in another town. I tried to call Shannon, but no one was picking up her damn phone. I left my room and headed down to the lobby, only to see Brian there, sitting on the couch. I walked over to him and sat next to him. �You been here all night?� He stirred slightly and looked at me. �Just about.� �How come?� �Come on, I�m sure you heard us fighting?� �Well, no, I didn�t, but Shannon called me afterwards.� �How could you not?� �D was upset.� �What happened?� �His grandmother passed away.� �Poor Howie.� �He�s leaving this afternoon. What happened Brian?� �I walked upstairs early this morning, thinking I could rationally talk with Shannon, only to find her fast asleep.� �That�s not wrong.� �With AJ.� I quickly had an intake of breath and stared at him. �No one knows, and no one will be hurt if anyone found out.� �What about Megan?� Brian sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. I knew that look, I knew him. �You and her�� �We�re not that far, but we do like each other. The other day we were talking and somehow, we kissed, it wasn�t a big thing, but it was enough to know we wanted more.� �And?� �And I found a way to hurt Shannon. I didn�t want to, I do love her.� �You loved her?� �True.� �Brian, as far as couples go, we�ve been together for a little over two years. In that time, people change and sometimes we don�t like those changes and it effects us, effects how we love them.� �Terri and Nick never change. Jennifer and Kevin never change.� �Those two couples are so meant for each other, I rather get sick. They have their fights and they all have changed, but they change together. It just wasn�t meant for you and Shannon to be together. And Brian, if Megan makes you happy, be with Megan.� He sighed and shook his head. �It�s not that easy.� �Yes it is, all AJ and Megan have to do is break it off. Oh, wait, you mean the press?� He only nodded. �Brian, do not let them bother you. Look at me and D. Do you know how many times I have lied?� �Countless.� He laughed and I smiled. �Think about what I said, please? In this life, the only person you should be pleasing is the one you love and yourself.� I gave him a short hug and walked back up to my room. I stepped onto the bus, my head pounding. It was officially two months, to the day, that all that shit with AJ went down. Brian and Shannon had called it quits, yet Megan and AJ were still together. Why, Lord only fuckin� knows! As for the other gals, they were clue less. And I suppose Megan had no idea about what happened either. �You okay?� �I was on the phone, till 4 this morning, talking to someone about something so damn stupid,� I said, rolling my eyes at Shannon. �Who did you talk to?� �Someone.� �What did you all talk about?� �The girl he cheated with and got her pregnant.� �Resa, who was that?� In my lack of sleep state, I was paying no heed to what I was saying. �My brother.� Shannon just stared at me and shook her head. �How long ago?� �Two months, to the fuckin� day.� �Alex and you�� At the mere mention of his name, my eyes opened wide and I stared at Shannon. �Wait, before you think�� �You lied all these years! And what about him?� �It�s rather hard to explain and at 7 in the morning, it�s not the time, but Shannon, you can not tell anyone.� �And if I do?� �I�ll go public with that baby you�re carrying.� She winced and I smiled. �You know, I have to admit something.� �What�s that?� �Resa, I had a guess.� �Why?� �Cause I know you, and I know him.� I glanced down at her and smiled. �We�re not that readable, I know that for damn sure.� �Of course not.� I sat down next to her. �You know you�re gonna be Auntie Resa.� I laid my head on her shoulder and laughed. �That has a nice ring to it.� |
