Once we were lovers/ Just lovers we were/ Oh what a lie/ Once we were dreamers/ Dreamers we were/ Oh you and I/ Now I see you're just somebody/ Who wasted my time and money/ What a lie you and I/ CHORUS - What about all/ Your ten thousand promises/ That you gave to me/ Your ten thousand promises/ That you promised me  The crowd cheered at hearing the song, loving it.
Once I could handle the truth/ When the truth was you and I/ But time after time all the promises/ Turned out to be all lies/ Now I see I'm just somebody/ Who wasted my time and money/ What a lie/ You and I/ REPEAT CHORUS. Brian walked up to Shannon and stood by her, singing the song.  He waved out to the crowd.
You said I'll take you back/ But I closed the door/ Cause I don't want ten thousand more/ Ten thousand promises yeah/ Ten thousand promises you gave to me/ REPEAT CHORUS (2X)/ Once we were lovers/ Just lovers we were/ Oh you and I/ What a lie  We wrapped up the song and the cheered louder than they ever have.
Well, are you guys having fun? Howie asked.  The crowd cheered.  We want to welcome you to the Backstreet Boy concert.  We hope you guys are  I interrupted him as a I banged my drum head three times.  He glanced back at me and I smirked.  As I was saying, we hope..  I did it again, just waiting.  Let me try this one more time.  We hope This time Jennifer hit her keys.  What is going on?  We said we would wait till Im done talking.  I fixed my microphone and smiled at him.  I banged on my head another time.
Youre done D.
You cant  Jennifer played it again and AJ screamed.
Youre done D, she said.  Shannon played her guitar and I played another three times.  Jennifer played a few licks on the keys and we all started the next song.
You hit me faster than a shark attack/ You saw my picture/ On the Backstreet's Back, alright/ And you were more than just a pretty face/ But how you fooled me, I'm still amazed baby/ But I should have known that I would be/ Another victim of your sexuality/ But now we're done and over with/ I don't want you back/ CHORUS - Don't want you back/ Cause you're no good for me/ I know/ That's all I can say / Don't want you back/ Forgive my honesty, but you gotta go/ I don't want you back  The fans screamed and sang along.  We played, loving the upbeatness of the song.  AJ and D had fun, moving those leather clad hips to the beat of the song.
You started going out with so-called friends/ But I was blind and so I lost all common sense/ But there were things that made me realize/ Like all the hundred no, thousand lies/ REPEAT CHORUS Shannon missed a few bars as she watched Brian sway just the same way.  I glanced at her, catching her mess up and she smirked to herself.  She glanced back at me and I mouthed out Bad Boy Brian.
Baby, don't bother telling me your reasons why/ Just let us sing this story, bout you and I/ Don't want you back, That's all I know/ Don't want you back, All I can say/ Don't want you back, You know you gotta go/ REPEAT CHORUS  Nick shook his ass in front of the crowd and girls just stood wide eyed at him.  Terri missed a couple words to the song, just watching him.  Kevin did the same.  Leather pants and him just do not get a long and of course, instead of playing, Jennifer was watching him.  She bit her lip and glanced at me. I shook my head as we wrapped up the song.
We want to take this time to play another one of our hits. Were sure you loved this just the same, Kevin said.  Weve been singing for years and it means a lot to us.  He walked over to Jennifer and stood by her.  Hit it Jen.  She played a few keys a long with Shannon.  Jennifer smiled so sweetly at Kevin as he spoke his part.
Spoken: Baby, I know you are hurting/ Right now you feel like you could never love again/ Now all I ask is for a chance/ To prove that I love you/ From the first day/ That I saw your smiling face/ Honey, I knew that we would be together forever/ Ooh, when I asked you out/ You said no but I found out/ Darling that you'd been hurt/ You felt that you'd never love again/ I deserve a try honey just once/ Give me a chance and I'll prove this all wrong/ You walked in, you were so quick to judge/ But honey he's nothing like me.  Brian said down on the end of the stage and sung.  Nick sat down next to him and swung his legs out, waiting.
CHORUS - I'll never break your heart/ I'll never make you cry/ I'd rather die than live without you/ I'd give you all of me/ Honey that's no lie (2X)/ As I walked by you/ Will you get to know me/ A little more better/ Girl that's the way love goes/ And I know you're afraid / To let your feelings show/ And I understand/ But girl it's time to let go/ Girl, it's time to let go/ I deserve a try honey/ Just once/ Give me a chance and I'll prove this all wrong/ You walked in, you were so quick to judge/ But honey, he's nothing like me/ Darling why can't you see.  Kevin stayed next to Jennifer, loving the fact that she could play.
REPEAT CHORUS (2X)/ No way, no how/ I'll make you cry (2X)/ REPEAT CHORUS.  I closed my eyes as the song faded out, leaving the guys to sing the last bit of the chorus on their own.  I was content.  I loved listening to them live and I know the girls enjoyed just as much as we did.  But, we also liked to sing.  And we were glad we got a warm welcoming.
Did you guys enjoy that? Brian called out.
Were glad.  If you dont mind, we want to introduce a certain someone to you.  She has some kick ass vocals and has had the distinct pleasure of singing our back up vocals to you.  Give it for Terri, Nick said, pulling her out on stage.  We started playing just the little bit of I Will Survive as she sung the chorus, rocking the house.
And we would like to introduce you to the band, that is, if you dont mind.  On they keys, shes the one whos been playing magic all night, is sweet ol Jennifer.  Jennifer dazzled them with a few riffs, going up and down, yet still staying in beat with the song.  Very nice.
Now, shes so talented, this girl can do it all. She sings, she dances and she plays lead guitar.  Give it up for my girl Shannon, Brian said, walking over to her and clapping his hands.  Shannon shook her head, but played the guitar loud and hard.
Not to bad, but lets give her time to cool that off.  On the drums, we have the ever ready, ever cool, Resa.  Hit it babe.  I played the drums, doing roll offs and riffs like all kinds.
Thats okay, but, on my instrument, shes definitely the coolest member of Trinity, we have Megan. Show them what you got girl.  Megan first picked at her strings and than strumed them, picking up speed and loudness and finally fading off.  Now that rocked.  What  AJ stopped as he heard a ringing noise.  Did you hear that?  It went off again and AJ glanced at the fans.  Do you guys have a cell phone?  He reached in his pocket and pulled his out.  Oh, wow, I dont remember putting this in here.  Hey, Shannon, is it yours?  Shannon reached in her pocket and shook her head.  Resa, I know you have one.  I stood up real quick and pulled out mine.
Sorry AJ, its not mine.  He held up his phone and made an evil face.
Well, should I answer it?  He held up to his ear and spoke hello.  I hit the drum a couple times and Jennifer followed suit.  I did it again and Megan hit it out on her bass.  AJ stopped and turned and looked at the crowd and started the song.
Let me tell you the story 'bout the call that changed my destiny/ Me and my boys went out just to end up in misery/ Was about to go home when there she was standing in front of me/ I said hi, I got a little place nearby, wanna go/ I should've said no, someone's waiting for me/ But I called my girl up and said ...  AJ turned back around and Megan was just shaking her head.  AJ shrug his shoulders and turned to see Nick standing right there.
