| �HEY!� �Just kidding. Come on, I�m sure everybody is wondering where we are.� Shannon grabbed Brian�s hand and they walked over to the table. �Excuse us, how�s everybody?� Shannon asked. She glared at me when I smiled. Again, I just mouthed �what�? She just shook her head and mouthed �bitch�. �Alex, stop that.� �Are you still that ticklish?� �Yes. So, please stop.� I thought he stopped, but than I felt someone grab my side. �AJ!� �Sorry. Just had to.� �Oh, just like I had to do this?� I reached out and started tickling him. �Okay, you win. I�ll stop.� �That�s better. Hey Howie, let�s dance.� �Dancing with you, looking that good? I have no problem with that.� �God D, I thought AJ was the flirt.� �Well, he is, but I have to have some fun too.� He grabbed my hand and we went out on the floor. �Hey Theresa, is something wrong?� Howie asked me. �I�m just wondering what�s up with Shannon, that�s all.� �Oh, okay.� �See, I told her that AJ and I were like old friends and old crushes. And then I told her I would dance with him if I made it. Well, she wasn�t too happy because she likes him. And now I guess she thinks I�m going out with him.� �Can I say something here?� �Yeah.� �I can see where she�s coming from. I mean, if anyone would look at you two, they would think the same thing.� �Well, we�re not. But, I can understand where you�re coming from. You know, is it me or is Shannon going out with Bri-Bri?� �They just met.� �But still. They�re dancing very close.� �Theresa, do you always get into other�s people�s business?� �Yeah. Sorry, it�s a habit. Especially with my best friend.� �I see,� he said. As the song finished we walked over to the table and I took a seat next to Brian. I noticed that Brian and Shannon were in a deep conversation. �Funny,� I thought. All of a sudden �Everybody: Backstreet�s Back�, came on. �Hey Theresa, let�s practice,� AJ told me. �Fine AJ.� We got up and went on the floor. Soon all the guys followed us. I counted us off and we started the dance. Usually, I would be real nervous because of all the people. But once again I just blocked out everyone, except the guys. Finally, a few minutes later we finished and we all heard clapping. I looked around and saw that we were surrounded. I smiled and started walking back to the table. As soon as I sat down, I noticed AJ sit down on my left and D sat down on my right. I then felt Howie put his arm around my shoulders. I just smiled to myself and looked around the table. I locked eyes with Shannon and she was giving me a weird look. I smiled and looked down. I supposed I somehow got lost in my own thoughts because Howie was nudging me. �Hmm? What did you say?� I asked. �Are you going to leave? It�s already going on 3:00 and our flight leaves at 9:00,� AJ asked. �Sorry, yeah. Shannon, are you coming back with me?� I asked her. We needed to talk and I figured that now would be a good time. �Yeah, sure.� We all stood up and left. We walked outside and I noticed that it had gotten colder. I started rubbing my arms but then I felt someone put their coat on my arms. �Is that better?� the guy asked me. �Much. Thanks Alexy.� �No problem.� I just started walking to my truck when I heard AJ called out. �Hey Esa?� �Yeah?� �See ya tomorrow,� he said, giving me a hug. �More like in a few hours.� With that I started walking back to the truck. Then I heard someone else calling my name. I turned around and saw those beautiful brown eyes. �Yes?� �Just wanted to say I enjoyed tonight.� �Yeah, so did I.� He gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. �See ya in a few babe,� D said. �Later.� I finished walking back to the truck. I got in and waved one final wave before the Boys entered the limo. I waited for Shannon as I started up the truck. I quickly turned the radio on and �All I Have To Give� came on. Shannon and Brian walked out of the club hand in hand. They slowly headed to the truck. �I guess I�ll see ya in a few hours, huh?� Brian asked. �Yeah,� Shannon answered. She was thinking and really only half listening to Brian. �So, are you going to sit with me on the plane?� he asked. �Oh yes. I bet this is going to be a flight that I�ll never forget.� �True. Then, I should let you go.� �Later.� Brian leaned in and gave her a kiss. They pulled away and Shannon entered the truck. She watched Brian leave and sighed. �Okay, time for some major talking,� she thought to herself. She glanced over at me and smiled. �So, where do we begin?� Shannon asked. �First off, there�s nothing going on between AJ and I, just to let you know.� �But�� �I know we do look like we�re going out because we flirt so bad, BUT, truly, there�s nothing going on. Trust me, he likes you.� �Oh, how do you know that? I mean, he let you wear his jacket.� �Okay Shannon, I hate to say this but those are stupid statements. AJ and I are best friends. Trust me when I say he likes you. As for the jacket, did you see Howie wear one? No, so therefore being a gentleman, and one of my best friends, AJ let me borrow his jacket.� �Oh, um..� �Blonde moment,� we said at the same time. We just looked at each other and busted out laughing. �So, Squeaky, was the reason I was getting dirty looks because you thought I was going out with him?� �Yeah, I�m sorry.� �It�s okay. We truly all make mistakes.� �Hey Resa, can I ask you a question?� |
