We were going to walk off the dance floor, but Mambo #5 came on. �Come on girl,� Kevin said, grabbing Shannon�s arm. I gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek as the song ended. �You still know the dance moves right?� AJ asked me as �It�s Gotta be You,� came on. I looked at him. �Oh, but of course,� I said. We quickly got into our positions. I laughed as Kevin and Brian missed a move or two. As it came to an end, I felt D wrap his arms around me to finish the dance. I looked over and saw Shannon and AJ together. I glanced over to see who the other guys were dancing with and busted out laughing. Shannon glanced at me and saw where I was looking. There were Kevin and Nick dancing together and Brian singing. I walked over to Nick and Kevin and smiled at Kevin. �Let a woman dance with you,� I said, smiling. �Why, I would love that ma�am,� Kevin said, tipping his fake hat. I watched as Shannon gave Brian a hug. �Thank you ma�am,� Kevin said, a smile on his face. �Well, kind sire, it was my pleasure.� I watched Kevin walk up to Brian and D, and than walk back to the restroom. I glanced at Shannon and yelled �PROM.� She looked at me and started laughing. Shannon started dancing and suddenly felt someone start dancing behind her. She quickly turned around and smiled as she saw Nick. He smiled back, laughing a little. She swayed her hips to Nick�s, keeping up the tempo to the song: �We Like To Party� by the Vengaboys. She wrapped her arms around his neck and his hands held on to her waist. They laughed ad they dipped down low. As the song ended, Nick dipped Shannon, as she flung he arms out. I was dancing by myself when I felt someone place their hands on my waist. I turned around in the guys arms and looked at AJ. �Would you like some company?� �I would love it,� I said. We did a few moves from the little dances we made up together. I laughed as the dance finished and he picked me up by the waist. He started groaning. �God, you�re heavy,� he said. I looked at him and smacked his arm. �You�re such a dip shit AJ,� I said. I was relieved when the DJ said he was taking a break and would be back, playing Backstreet Boys followed by Sisqo. I grabbed Shannon�s arm and went to the bathroom. �Having fun?� �Of course. I got to dance with my best friends, who I wouldn�t have, if it hadn�t been for you. Thank you.� �Really, it�s okay. You got to meet them, so you�re happy, and now I�m happy. See, it�s all good.� I gave her a hug and we left the bathroom and got outside right in time to here BSB�s �Hey Mr. DJ (Keep Playin� That Song) � came on. We followed the Boy�s and quickly picked up as to where they were. What seemed like seconds, was minutes. The song ended and I noticed the first slow song of the evening come on. It was Sisqo�s �Your Love Is Incredible�. I watched as AJ, so very sexually, danced his way to Shannon. �My dear Shannon, may I have this dance?� AJ asked, lightly kissing her neck. �You don�t have to ask,� Shannon said, wrapping her arms around his neck. AJ placed one hand on her lower back as the other one caressed her back. �I don�t know how I got be a lucky man. But when you walked into my life, I knew we were meant to be. And I want you to know, I�ll always love you.� Shannon looked at AJ, a tear slipping down her cheek. AJ bent over and kissed the tear away. His lips traced her lips. I put my head next to his and wondered how I got this lucky. And I just asked myself, �How Did This Happen?� |
