Maybe a few.  Well, you two better get going before the flight leaves you behind.
Ill miss you, I told him as I gave him another hug.  We pulled away and I started walking onto the plane.  This was going to be different, seeing how this was the first time I was going to be in first class.  I noticed that only a few other dancers were on this flight.
They were sent on other flights, AJ said.  I just turned and looked at him.  I know you Esa.  You were looking around noticing that only a few dancers were here.  Am I right?
Yeah Alexy, youre right.  I turned back around and took a seat by the window.
Excuse me, mind if I sit next to you? Nick asked.
Hey Nick.  How are you? I asked as I gave him a hug.
Well, I really couldnt be better.
Thats good to hear.  And yeah, this seat is taken, I said.  His face fell.
By who?
Nick, by you.  I was kidding.  Sit down and we can talk.
Cool.  So, anything new in your life?
Nick, what could happen in a day?
Well, Im not sure.
No, nothing new.  And you?
Same ol, same ol, he said.  I felt the plane start to go forward.  The pilot came on and told us to fasten our belts and prepare for take off.  I looked out the window and for some reason, this flight felt like an end and a beginning.  An end to my old life and beginning of a new one.  I also had a feeling like something was going to happen on this tour.  I glanced over at Shannon and noticed her in a deep conversation with Brian.  Well, I truly hope she enjoys this tour, I thought to myself.  I looked back out the window but someone tapped me on my shoulder.
What are you looking at? Nick asked me.
Im just saying goodbye.
Youre not leaving forever, he said.  A smile was dancing around his eyes.
No Nick.  For some strange reason, I feel like a new life has just started.  I dont exactly know why Im feeling like this.  I just am.
I understand.  If you think about it, this is a new life.

So, Shannon, how long have you known Theresa? Brian asked.
Well, let me see, about eight years now, Shannon answered.
Damn.  Thats quite sometime.
Yeah, I suppose.  But its been good.  I dont think that in the whole time weve really had a fight that has come close to ending our friendship.
Wow.  You two must be very close?
Yeah.  We know each others thoughts and can usually finish each others sentences.
Yeah, thats close. So, any brothers?
Yeah.  2 that I really consider.  Josh and Jacob.
Oh.  Brian was about to ask something else but he heard someone laughing from the other side of the plan.  He looked over at that side and saw Howie and AJ sitting next to two of the dancers.
Oh, shit.  She cant be happy, Shannon mumbled to herself.  How could they do that.  Well, I guess I shouldnt get pissed at AJ.  But still they liked us and yet theyre over there, doing some major flirting.  Wonder how Theresa is taking this, Shannon thought to herself.  She watched as one of the dancers grabbed Howies hand and kissed him on the cheek.  Her gaze wandered over to Nick and I.

I was talking with Nick about our families when I heard someone laughing.  I turned my head and saw Howie, AJ, and two dancers, talking. One dancer, Cindy, grabbed Howies hand and kissed him on the cheek.  The other dancer, Sammie, had her arm around AJs shoulder.  Besides talking, they were doing some major flirting.  I couldnt help it, but a tear feel.  Here I was, assuming that Howie liked me and was going to ask me out, but instead he was flirting with those two bimbos.  Well, what do they say about assuming things, assumption is the mother of all fuck ups.  I brought my attention back to Nicks question.
Im sorry Nick.  What did you ask?
Are you okay?  You didnt look to happy watching Howie.
Well, Im okay.  As for Howie, oh well.  Hes just being a jerk.
Dont worry about him, Nick told me.  Oh Nick, I wish it was truly that easy.  But I like him, I thought to myself.
Excuse me Nick, may I talk to Resa, please? Shannon asked Nick.
Sure Shannon.  Talk to you later, Nick said as she gave me a little hug.
Shannon, what can I do for you?
God.  Dont need to get all cranky.  Just came to make sure everything was going okay?
Yeah, Ill live.
Are you sure Resa?
Yeah.  Hes just a guy.  Dont need to go worry about some guy.  Been through it before.  Trust me, its useless.
Okay.  If you need anyone to talk to, Im always here, Shannon told me.  I just looked at her.
Promise? I whispered.
Promise.  And with that she gave me a hug and walked back over to Brian.  I looked back out the window, lost in thought.

Howie looked over at me and we locked eyes.  I saw him say something to AJ then I saw him get up.  I looked down and started reading my book.  I saw him walk over to the seat next to me, out of the corner of my eye.
Hi, he said. I just looked up and smiled.  Then I started reading.  Whats wrong Theresa?
Nothing D, I mumbled.
Theresa, whats wrong? Howie asked again.
Nothing D.  Im just reading.  Howie laid his hand down on my arm and the other one came up and turned my head.
Im only going to ask one more time.  Whats wrong?  I stared into his eyes but I couldnt lie to him.
Howie last night, or this morning, what were you going to ask me?
Is that what youre thinking about?
No.  But just answer the question.
Okay.  Theresa, I was going to ask if you cared to go out sometime?
Howie if you wanted to ask me that, why were you flirting with Cindy?
Want the truth?  I just nodded my head.
