Megan followed the manager to the back. "Did they steal anything or have you and Megan looked?" "We didn�t get a chance to look." AJ replied. "Okay, then let�s look." Theresa walked over to the car, and noticed that nothing was missing but the kid�s things. Right away, Theresa was sure that it was Alex. "Can you watch the kids for a minute, AJ?" "Yeah, sure. What�s up? "I�ll explain later." Theresa yelled as she ran inside. "No, I didn�t see who he was!" Megan was yelling over the phone. "Okay, I�ll hold." "Megan! Megan! I know who it was!" "What?!? How?!?" "The only thing missing were the kids things! It had to be Alex." "Are you sure?" "Yes! You go look and I�ll talk to the police." "Okay, thank you, so much." Theresa picked up the phone and waited for the other side to pick up again, as Megan went outside to AJ and the kids. "Aunt Megan are you okay?" Savanna asked. "Yes, honey. I�m fine." She said as she gave Savanna a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Megan got up and walked over to the car. "What was Theresa�s problem?" AJ asked. "She thinks that she knows who did it by what was stolen. Come here and look." AJ walked over to her and looked inside. "You can stay longer if you want. I�m not going to work." She whispered in his ear. He looked into her eyes and gave her a kiss. "I take that as you will stay?" "If the guys will let me," he replied with a funny little grin on his lips. "Okay. Isn�t this odd?" "What?" he said staring at her. "This break in and what was stolen." "Oh! Yeah, that is odd. Who does she think did it?" "Now, who do you think? Who wants the kids?" "Oh! Shit!" "That�s what I thought. Funny thing is...he could get custody if he fought hard enough." AJ wrapped his arms around Megan and held her tight, then he kissed the top of her head, as the kids played on the sidewalk. "Yes, sir. I�m sure it was him." Theresa was saying. "If you�d get your ass down here, you might be able to see for yourself." And with that she hung up. �Fucking dick heads, think that they know it all,� she thought to herself. She walked back outside and saw Megan in AJ�s arms. �Ah, they look so cute together,� Theresa thought to herself. She leand against the door frame wishing none of this took place. She turned back around and started crying. �Why does he have to do this? Why? And why the fuck am I crying? God, I had a nice life. Then the asshole of all asshole showed up! I swear, next time I see him, he won�t fucking me living,� she thought to her self. She felt someone touch her leg, so she turned back around. It was Savanna. �Hi Hon. How are you?� �I�m scared. I don�t like what�s happening.� �Well, honey, don�t worry, things are going to be okay.� With that Theresa picked Savanna up. �Okay, still wanna go out?� Theresa asked her. �Can we?� �Let me go ask Meg and AJ, okay?� �That�s fine.� Theresa walked back over to the couple, Savanna in her arms. �Hey, guys, I promised Justin and Savanna I�d take them to the be park and we�d have a little picnic. Would you guys like to go?� �Sure. I don�t see what�s wrong with that,� Megan answered. �Cool then.� �Hey , by the way Theresa, did you have to work tonight?� Megan asked. �Yeah, actually I do. Sorry.� �No it�s okay. I was just making sure.� They talked for a few more minutes and finally the cops came. Megan and Theresa told them what happened well AJ took the kids back inside. The cops said they would try to find the guy, but since we weren�t sure and they didn�t know where Alex was, they really couldn�t do much. �Thank you,� Theresa said. She turned back around and went back inside. She walked over to the table and sat down. �Ready to go AJ?� �Yeah.� I picked up Savanna, who was still a little scared in one arm well Justin was in my other arm. �Theresa, I can take Justin or Savanna if you�d like?� AJ offered. �No, that�s okay. Thanks though,� she said as she smiled over at him. They walked back out to the car, and found Howie there. �Hey D,� AJ said. I just about died. Howie still hadn�t noticed that I was there, and that was a good thing. �Hey AJ. Man, is this why you called?� �Yeah. The girls had the car broken into. They think they know who did it but they can�t prove it.� �Who do they think it was?� Howie asked. �Well, probably Savanna�s and Justin�s dad,� Megan called out. I just set the kids down. �Oh,� was all he could say. �Um, I really hate to sound stupid, but who�s Savanna and Justin?� �Savanna and Justin..� Theresa started. �My kids, � Megan finished. Theresa just glanced over at her. Megan just smiled back. They glanced over at AJ and even he had one confused look on his face. �Oh, I didn�t know you had kids,� Howie said. Megan just smiled and put the kids in the car. �Okay, were we going to park soon?� Theresa asked. She glanced down at her watch and the time read 11:15. �Yeah, let�s go home and then we can get things ready,� Megan said. Theresa just nodded my head. She still couldn�t believe she just said something like that. �Hey Theresa, want a lift?� Howie asked. He smiled at her and she really couldn�t say no. She glanced over at Megan and she just smiled. |
