"Does Denny�s sound good?" "Good enough for me. Does Theresa like it?" "If not she�ll learn to love it." All of a sudden Megan and AJ heard Theresa saying something to the guy. AJ jumped off the love seat and ran outside. He ran over to Theresa and held her back. Lord really only knew how badly she could have beaten this guy up if she got a hold of him. She screamed at AJ to let her go but finally the guy just jumped in his car and left. He finally released her when the car was out of sight. Finally, Theresa walked back to the house. "Okay, we are ready to go?" Theresa said as she walked into the room. "Come on kids. Let�s go," Megan called out. "How are we all going to fit into your car, Megan?" Theresa asked. "Well, you can drive and I�ll sit in the back if you want." Megan answered. "You really trust me with your car?" "Yeah, why wouldn�t I?" "I�ll sit in back with them." Theresa said, as she headed out the door. AJ waited for Megan, she was turning off the lights. AJ walked over to her as she was going out the door, and grabbed her hand. After everyone got situated in the car, Megan turned on the radio. �Genie in a Bottle� by Christina Agularia was on. As Megan backed out of the drive, the kids were playing �I Spy� with Theresa. They were so cute. AJ and Megan looked at each other and laughed at Theresa. �What�s so funny?� Theresa asked from the back seat. �Nothing. It�s just that you three are too cute,� AJ answered. It only took a couple of minutes for us to reach Denny�s. Everyone got out of the car and headed in. They sat us in a booth in the middle of the place. As we walked by AJ heard people whispering to other people that they were with �AJ McLean of the Backstreet Boys.� He just kept on walking, and held tight to Megan�s hand. Some teenage girls we asking each other if Megan was his girlfriend. They were like �I hadn�t seen her before.� Megan was about to turn around and tell them not to worry about it and to stay out of other people�s lives, but she kept her cool. AJ was the first to sit down, and before Megan got the chance to sit next to him, Justin and Savanna sat on both sides. So, Megan sat next to Justin as Theresa sat next to Savanna. The waiter poured them some water, "What would you like to drink?" he asked. "Tea please," Megan replied. "Same," AJ said next. "Orange juice for the kids, and tea for me," Theresa ordered. After they ordered, they just kinda talked for a few minutes. It was fun until one of those girls that was asking about Megan and AJ came over to the booth. "May, I have your autograph, please?" she asked AJ, holding out a pen and napkin. "Sure," he said as he took them from her hand. He signed the napkin, and she left. "I�m sorry about that, guys." "No, problem. I�m sure you get that quite often," Theresa said. AJ looked over at Megan. She was looking across the restaurant at something. The waiter walked back to their booth. "Are you ready to place your orders?" he asked. "I think so. Are you ready Megan?" AJ asked. "Hey, Meg wake up." "What? Oh yeah, I�m ready." They all gave the waiter their orders. Once the waiter left, the kids started asking AJ questions. Theresa and Megan just looked at each other and laughed, then they both looked at AJ and laughed harder. For some reason, Megan started staring across the restaurant again. Finally Theresa couldn�t take it anymore. "Megan, what do you keep looking at?" "I�m sorry, but I keep seeing this guy walking back and forth." "Have you heard the term waiter?" "No, this guy is outside. Sorry, I don�t know what�s wrong with me. I just need some fresh air. I�ll be back." "Do you want me to come with you?" AJ asked. "No, I�ll be fine." With that she left. When she got outside, she sat against the wall in front of her car. She just sat there looking around for that guy. Then, she noticed that on the drivers side, the back window was broken. Megan ran back inside. AJ and Theresa didn�t see her run in, but the kids did. "Aunt Megan! What�s wrong?" They asked. "Resa, someone broke into my car!" "What?" "On the driver�s side, the back window is busted in!" "You are kidding right?" "You know I don�t joke about this shit, I mean why would I?" "Let�s go check it out," AJ finally said. "I�ll get the manager." Resa said. "Okay." The kids went with their mom, while AJ and Megan went outside. "This has not been my morning." Megan tells AJ. "Why not? Well, besides your car." "I wanted us to have a nice quiet breakfast for two and well....Alex." "What did I do?" "No, not you. Theresa�s ex, the kids dad." "Oh him." "Yeah." AJ took Megan�s hand, "Come here." As he drew her closer for a kiss, Theresa, the kids, and the manager came outside. "Aunt Megan, we�re back!" Savanna yelled. "I see." Megan said moving away from AJ, walking towards the manager. "I told him what you told me." Theresa explained. "Well, I saw this guy walking back and forth out here, and I went outside to get some air, and this is how I found my car." Megan explained further. "Okay, well I�ll go and call the police,� the manger said. "I�ll come with you." Megan said. As Megan and the manager started inside Theresa thought for a second and ran up to Megan and pulled her over. "Do you think that it could have been Alex?" |
