"Yeah," she whispered. He wrapped his arms around her shoulder and she wrapped her arms around his waist. They walked back to his house in silence. He told her where the guestroom was and started picking up the plates. Theresa walked up the stairs and into the room, laying down on the bed.
AJ opened Megan's door and offered his hand to help her out of the car. She softly placed her hand in his and he brought it up to his lips.
"My lady," AJ said, holding Megan close, "did I tell you how beautiful you look tonight?"
"Yes, but hearing it more than once never hurt anyone," Megan said, smiling. AJ opened the door to the restaurant for Megan and quickly glanced around as he stepped in after her. "Looking for anyone?" Megan whispered to him.
"No, just a feeling that came over me."
"Well, shake it." Megan quickly kissed him as he pulled out her chair.
"Anyway, what kind of wine would you like?"
"Oh well, white wine is fine." AJ quickly glanced up from his menu to look at Megan. They locked eyes and finally pulled away as the waiter came.
Two hours later AJ and Megan were walking along the beach, hand in hand, talking and laughing about everything.
"Do you think Resa is ever going to tell Howie the truth?" AJ asked, holding Megan close.
"I can't tell. I once thought that she was going to tell him, but I don't know. Usually any guy she dates, that's the first thing that they know."
"So I figured. You know Howie really doesn't like dating women with kids."
"Yeah, I know. That's why she's lying to him, but mind you, I don't agree with it."
"I know, but it's sweet that you're helping your best friend like this. Well, since we are on the subject now, what happened with their father?"
"Alex? Oh, well, one night at a party, those two got drunk. Anyway, she had a major crush on him, but what she heard from a friend was that he slept with her as a bet. He would get $300 if he would follow through with the bet. Well, about a month later she went up to tell him that the money could be used from his kids. He just laughed at her in front of his friends. So, to this day she can't stand him."
"Wow, so she got hurt pretty bad? If Howie was to be a dick head, she would get hurt once again."
"Exactly." Megan sighed looking out along the ocean. She felt AJ softly kissing her neck and she giggled quietly. She shivered slightly and AJ pulled her closer.
"You aren't cold, are you?"
"No, that kiss just made me shiver."
"Than I wonder what this will do." AJ turned Megan around in his arms and pressed his lips softly, yet passionately against hers. She wrapped her arms around his neck and brought him closer. After a few moments they pulled apart and just gazed into each other's eyes.

Howie slipped into the guestroom and gazed at Theresa. He smiled as he took off his shirt and went and laid next to her. He played with her hair and softly kissed her cheek. She stirred but still didn't wake up. He softly kissed her lips and when he pulled back, he was gazing into her eyes.
"Hi," he said.
"Hi. What time is it?"
"5:00, why?"
"Oh, just wondering. I have to go to work around nine I believe. Hopefully, I'll get off early."
"Hopefully. Do you want me to pick you up?"
"If you don't mind." Theresa wrapped her arms around his waist and placed her head on his chest.
"I don't mind. Just give me a call when you get done," he said softly kissing the top of her head.
"Will do," she said, yawning. She closed her eyes and fell asleep listening to the sound of Howie's heart beating. Two hours later Theresa woke up to the sound of the phone. She shook Howie, telling him the phone was ringing. Howie went downstairs and answered it. Theresa could hear him laughing and made herself get up. She went into the bathroom and splashed some water on her face. She walked downstairs and found Howie playing some music.
"Hey babe, have any plans for tomorrow?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Oh, that was Brian. Nick and he were going to the mall, and I said I would join them and I wanted to know if you wanted to go, too."
"Oh, well. Megan, the kids, and I had something to do. I'll call you, okay?"
"Sounds good. So are you ready to go?"
"Yeah, but it's only ten after seven."
"Well, what do you want to do?" Howie asked, nuzzling her neck.
"Let's just sit here for a while. Okay?" She answered, smirking.
"What's that smirk for?"
"Nothing." Theresa walked over to the couch and sat down. Howie followed and soon they were in a long conversation. Theresa finally glanced at the time. It was 8:30. "Shit! We have to go." They jumped into Howie's car and tore off to Sheek. Within 15 minutes they reached the club.
"Don't forget to call," Howie said.
"I won't." She leaned over and softly kissed. "Bye Baby, love ya."
"Love you too." Theresa got out of the car, and went to the back to get ready. At nine she went back to the door, and throughout her whole shift she kept thinking about what she told Howie. She was wondering if she really loved him. Those were words she never just said, but after such a short time could she have fallen in love?

AJ smiled at Megan as she sang along with the car radio:
"I cross my heart, and promise to give all I've got to give to make your dreams come true, in all the world, you'll never find a love as true as mine...."
As the song finished AJ quickly turned the radio down.
"That was great. Who sang that?"
"This guy named George Strait. The song is a great love song. The title alone can tell you that."
"What's it called?"
"I Cross My Heart. Anyway, enough about that. When do I get to meet the rest of the guys?"
"Hmm, I'll call them tomorrow and maybe we can do something."
"How about the mall?" Megan suggested, glancing out the window as they pulled up outside Nick's house. They climbed out of the car and walked to the door. Nick opened it right away. He had a huge smile on his face.
"Hey man! Hey Megan. Come on in," Nick said, moving aside so he could let them in. Megan stepped in first and the kids came running into the room.
