| 'It's not possible,' he thought, as he stood up with Savahana in his arms. "Savahana quit playing around. Sorry Howie, she likes to act like Theresa's her mom sometimes. Right Theresa?" "Umm, yeah....it's a little game she likes to...um, play." Megan started laughing nervously and took Savahana from Howie. Theresa let out a huge sigh of relief as she took Howie's hand. "So where were you two planning on going?" Megan asked as she stole a glance from AJ. He had a sad look in his eyes that told Megan that he didn't think that it was right to be hiding this from Howie. Megan quickly turned away with him, because she knew that he was right. "Well, I'm not sure. Howie?" "Well, I was just planning on the two of us going somewhere away from all of the people. What about you four?" "I was going to see if the kid's minded going to a babysitter, and the two of us going somewhere else. AJ told me that this sitter would be like a big brother." Megan said. "Who would this sitter be?" Resa asked AJ. "Umm, Nick." Howie just laughed. "Now that would be the perfect babysitter, Megan. Your kids would love him." "That was what I was thinking, but would Nick do it?" "I don't know, let's call him and find out." AJ said as he took out his cell phone. Theresa took the kids to AJ's car as Megan and Howie stood with AJ. "Kid's do you understand this little game that we are playing around Howie?" Theresa asked Justin and Savahana. "Yes Mommy. I'm sorry that I said that to him." Savahana said, with a sad look on her face. "Yeah, Mommy. When he's around, Aunt Megan is our Mommy." "That's okay Savahana. Yes Justin, that's right. This game will be over soon. I promise. I"m sorry that I'm making you two do this. Can I have a hug?" The kids gave her a huge hug, as Howie approached. "Here comes Howie now!!" Justin said. Theresa turned around just as Howie reached the car. "Hi kids." He said as he took Theresa's hand. "Well, Nick said that he could watch them if they wanted to go. Angel and Aaron are going to be there, too." "Sound's fun doesn't it?" Theresa asked the kids. "Okay, well have fun with Nick and I'll see you tomorrow, okay? Don't forget to be good." "We won't," they said at the same time. Theresa looked at them and started walking back to Howie's car. "I can't do this," she thought to herself, "I have to tell him, but am I ready to?" She shrugged off her thoughts and laid her head on Howie's shoulder. He turned to look at her and smiled. "So tell me, what would you like to do?" "Just a nice walk would do. I do have to go to work, so I'm not going to be much fun," Theresa replied. Howie just nodded his head. He quickly decided what he wanted to do. "How about this: I"ll make lunch for us, and we'll enjoy it on the beach? My backyard is the beach," he said. Theresa thought it over, and agreed. He smiled and lightly touched her cheek. "You know Theresa, I do like it when you smile," he said, right before his lips touched hers. His arms flew to wrap around her waist, while her arms went around his neck. He lightly caressed her back, making her want to never let go. "Geez, will you two knock it off, please?" Megan called out, finally reaching AJ's car. Howie and Theresa finally pulled apart and just lightly blushed. "Okay, happy now?" Theresa asked, getting inside Howie's car. "No, not yet," Megan said with a sly smile on her face, "but I"ll complain later." "Well, Megan and I will take the kids to Nick's and I guess sooner or later we will catch up with you two." "Sounds cool, AJ. Catch ya later." Howie said before he sped off. "I really wish that she would tell him and get it over with," Megan said as she put her hand on AJ's shoulder. AJ took her hand off his shoulder and kissed it. "I know what you mean, but we can't make her do anything. Howie's like my brother, and I really don't want to see him get hurt. The longer she waits the harder it's going to be." "I totally understand baby." "MEGAN! AJ! When are we going to Nick's house?" Savahana yelled. Oh, sorry honey. Let's go now. Come on AJ." "Alright, let's go." "Yey! The both said. "Are you driving or am I?" AJ asked. "You are. I don't know where he lives." "That's cool." He got into the car while Megan put the kids back into the car. "AJ?" "What?" "What are we going tonight or should I say today?" "That is for me to know and you to find out." "WE KNOW!!!!" The kids yelled in unison. "How do you two squirts know?" Megan said with a smile playing on her lips as she looked over at AJ as he stopped at a red light. "You two had better keep quiet." "Sorry AJ." The kids went back to playing with their toys and Megan hit AJ playfully. "So you tell the kids, but not me? How rude!" "Well, I promised them that they could meet Nick if they kept my secret. See, they overheard me on the phone earlier. I would tell you if I could." He smiled and brushed her cheek as they light turned green. "Oh, so that's why you wanted them to go to Nick's." "No, I was going to ask if you'd let Nick watch them anyway." "Oh, okay. That's cool." AJ and Megan chatted the rest of the way to Ruskin while the kids played in the back. "Yo, AJ! What's up?" Nick was yelling on his way out to AJ's car. AJ and Nick gave each other five and a buddy hug while Megan got the kids out of the back. "Hey, this must be Megan, right?" Nick asked AJ as he walked up to Megan. "Hi kids. You can go on inside. Aaron and Angel are in there." "OKAY!!" They yelled as they raced inside. "BYE!!" Megan yelled but they were too excited to hear her. "Hi Nick. Yes, I'm Megan." "Damn, AJ! Where'd you find her? She's a hell of a lot nicer than Amanda was." "Yeah, I know." They looked at each other and started to laugh as Megan began to blush. "Now, what's so funny about me being nice?" She said as she turned her back to the guys. "Honey, you just have to know Amanda." AJ said as he put his hands on Megan's arms, and his chin on her shoulder." She was a bitch to the guys and controlling. That and you've never seen her without her make-up on!" |
