| Vaayu - Vaayu is a software based Intrusion Detection System (IDS) stress tool to generate attacks for an IDS in an operational environment. Vaayu parses the snort signature files to build the attack database. It can send HTTP, ICMP and UDP attacks. It uses libcurl library for opening HTTP sessions with the web server and sends attacks in HTTP requests. It uses raw sockets for generating ICMP and UDP traffic. It also injects shellcodes for various architectures (solaris, power pc, mips, linux, alpha etc) in UDP and HTTP payloads. It is being enhanced to handle new protocols.
