Lateo
was unsettled from the start of the game as the FilChi players orchestrated
their attacks. Player #9 of the opposing team was the most dangerous
of them all as his early moves indicated he could easily slip through
any defender.
He
proved himself as a tough customer when he pounced on a rebound
from a shot that the Lateo keeper failed to collect. Goal! FilChi
led 1-0 during the half. Lateo on the other hand failed to capitalize
on some of its attacks.
Dave
Fegidero though, had two excellent chances from free kick situations.
He successfully curved the ball past the keeper twice but was unfortunately
denied twice also by the woodwork! Tough luck!
The
second half started on the same note for Lateo and was saved only
by the tenacious defending of Agu, James and Mike. Late in the game,
Lateo, got a break from the penalty spot and James Rafols tucked
the ball out of the keeper's reach to tie the game, 1-1.
It
was outrageous that the referee decided to cut the game short 15
minutes before regulation time ended. Anybody could have pulled
a couple of more plays to settle the game with a win. |
