Midnight Awaiting
December 7, 1997

Awaiting – ringing sound,
It slows all life down.
It never reaches down,
To midnight its life bound.
One moment of a cry,
And emptiness fills us.
As tear falling from an eye,
Pain swallows us, alas.
The filter of our happiness
Leaves dull emotions memorable.
But all faithfulness, nevertheless,
Of forever-remaining at heart is capable.
And awaiting is only a fear
Of never returning here.
Our souls are united forever,
And, finally, we are back together.
