The love of people,

You abandoned me!

My wealth may triple,

But I would rather be free.

I’d give away

All that I had,

And I would pray

To learn how to be mad.

I long for human feelings,

But only their empty coats I find,

And only sounds of round shillings

Are ringing in this mind of mine.
