Missy Janson -
Philadelphia... THANK YOU FOR BEING A WONDERFUL CROWD! The cheap pop
works perfectly, not only getting the attention of the
fans; but causing them to increase their volume
exponentially. Missy waits for them to settle down a bit,
before speaking up again. Missy Janson - It
is my honor to announce that it is time for the MAIN
EVENT OF THE EVENING... Again she is cut
off due to their excitement, as the camera pulls away
from the Ring Announcer to show the Altitude O structure
in all it's glory. We snap back to Missy Janson as she
now has to yell into her microphone to be heard. Missy Janson - ...
It is an Altitude O Match... and it is for the OWF TAG
TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP! Willingly pausing
Missy anticipates and gets a loud reaction from her
words. Missy Janson - All
four competitors will start in the ring. The first team
to secure a pinfall or a submission up on the Altitude O
platform, while all four competitors are up there, will
win this match. The buzz in the
crowd turns into a light hum, which is completely
possible for Missy to speak over. Missy Janson -
Introducing first, the challengers... First, from
Tombstone, Arizona... Doc Holloway! The modern, crisp
image flickers and stutters out, replaced by an aged
sepia filter. The opening clap-STOMP of "God's Gonna
Cut You Down" by Johnny Cash begins to sound, and
Doc Holloway saunters out onto the stage, his boots
falling loosely in time to the music. He pauses at the
ramp, glancing around the arena, long brown hair framing
his stoic face. Bobby Shavonie -
Last week on Addiction we saw Doc Holloway finally stick
up for his tag team partner. Nick Burst - Yeah,
after they beat the hell out of each other in that cage
match. Tonight's the first time they'll even try working
together as a cohesive unit, because they have no other
choice. Bobby Shavonie -
Do you like their chances of beating Moxie Roxie and Eva
De La Cruz? Nick Burst - If
this was a normal match, sure. But this is an Altitude O
Match, and I'm not making any predictions. Bobby Shavonie -
Just going to take credit for staying impartial when the
match is over? Nick Burst - You
know me. He resumes his
slow walk to the ring, muttering too low for the camera
to hear. He mounts the apron without a flourish and steps
through the ropes. Glancing around him he looks at the
structure set up from each of the four corners; and the
huge O Scaffold above his head. "Go
and tell that long-tongued liar, Doc delicately
removes a crucifix from round his neck, heads for the
nearest turnbuckle, and dangles the cross on its chain
around the post. "Tell
'em that God's gonna cut 'em down..." He takes up that
corner and lays in wait as his music fades out. The
cameras cut back outside of the ring to Missy. Missy Janson - And
his partner... The Jackrabbit! The arena lights
dim, and hysterical laughter sounds through the arena. A
series of rabbits appear on the big screen, their eyes a
crimson red. "Out Of My Head" by Puddle Of Mudd
begins to play, as smoke fills the entrance-ramp and blue
strobe lights scan the arena. Onto the ramp steps The
Jackrabbit. He is wearing one of his trademark T-Shirts,
and his plaid, wrestling shorts. The Jackrabbit
begins to walk down the ramp as the music picks up, and
he then runs and slides into the ring as blue strobe
lights scan the arena. He climbs the nearest turnbuckle,
and laughs outloud to himself, raising both arms and
wriggling the index fingers on each as the fans cheer
him. Bobby Shavonie -
We saw a lot of passion out of The Jackrabbit last week,
and he even got over his fears of heights a bit. Nick Burst - I
feel bad for the guy. He just comes back from an injury
he suffered in the Pool of Blood Match, and now he has to
deal with this. Bobby Shavonie -
That's the price you pay for winning a shot at the Tag
Team Titles, I guess. Nick Burst - On
the brightside, they get a chance to Main Event this Pay
Per View and end the night on a high note. Hell they may
even walk out of here Tag Team Champions, you never know. The Jackrabbit
then jumps back down, and paces the ring, looking
entirely as though he has no idea where he is as he tries
to eye up the structure as he heads to the side of Doc
Holloway. His music fades out, and the two men share a
contentious stare as the production team cuts back
outside of the ring to Missy Janson. Missy Janson - And
their opponents... First, from Los Angeles, California...
She is the OWF World Heavyweight Champion and one-half of
the Current OWF Tag Team Champions... EVA DE LA CRUZ! The house lights
dim as Fort Minor's "Remember the Name" begins
to blare and the arena is filled with pink strobbing
lights as match clips play on the tron. Slowly the black
satin curtain is pushed aside as Misty Hazes comes out
wearing a black blazer with a red buttoned up blouse
underneath and a matching black skirt holding a white
basket and starring at the crowd as she holds the curtain
open and out steps Eva De La Cruz wearing a gold silk
robe with white frills on the edge. Bobby Shavonie - A
huge win for Eva in our opening match tonight. Can she
keep the trend going and walk out of here a
double-champion? Nick Burst - She's
going to try, and it may be possible. A lot of it rests
on how Eva De La Cruz and Moxie Roxie work together. Bobby Shavonie -
They had a bit of a tiff earlier, but now their goals are
completely aligned. They cannot afford to fight each
other here. Nick Burst - This
match is designed for teamwork. If they can't get along,
they won't win. Period. Bobby Shavonie - I
guess that's the beauty in this beast of a match. In the back
"Remember The Name" is written in silver
glittery fancy letters as Eva makes her way out with her
arms raised and spins a bit as a single spotlight falls
upon her. Misty Haze isn't throwing rose petals around,
and Eva De La Cruz by this time has reached the apron and
tosses her long dark hair back smiling at the crowd as
she heads up the steel stairs and walks on the edge of
the apron; receiving a good amount of boo's. Before
slipping into the ring looking at Misty and then spinning
slightly in the middle of the ring as the spotlight
remains on her and above her a gold broken heart burns. After which she
walks back and slowly unties the robe pulling it ever so
slowly off of Eva and revealing a gold sports-bra type
top and some matching booty shorts that have Eva written
on the back of them in white glittery fancy letters. The
OWF Tag Team Title she possesses is strapped around her
waist, and she removes it in order to hand it the
referee. Her music fades out, Misty folds the robe and
slips out of the ring as the house lights come back on
and Eva walks over to the corner opposite Doc and The
Jackrabbit with a huge smile. Missy Janson - And
her tag team partner, from San Diego, California... She
is one-half of the Current OWF Tag Team Champions...
MOXIE ROXIE! A pink tint hits
the lights, blanketing the arena in bubblegum flare as
"Riot" by The Sounds echoes over the PA. A pair
of spotlights float across the stands, aimless for a
moment before uniting at the stage on a lone figure, clad
in a pink hoodie. The figure yanks back the hood,
revealing a head of messy pink and platinum hair as the
crowd welcomes Moxie Roxie. "The High Priestess of
Punk" points to her left, as a cannon full of pink
and green confetti showers the fans on that side. Bobby Shavonie -
Moxie Roxie didn't get pinned earlier on, but she still
lost in the opener tonight. That makes three matches in a
row where she has lost. Nick Burst - I'm
surprised someone with an ego like that hasn't had a
complete meltdown. If she makes it four here and walks
away without a belt for the first time in six months,
we'll start to see some serious shit. Bobby Shavonie -
You may be right. Even if Moxie Roxie did everything
right in her first match, she needs to be even better
now. Nick Burst - She
handed Eva the belt at the end of the contest, so it
doesn't look like there's much animosity from her side.
And they're a great team when they are on the same page. Bobby Shavonie -
Well we're about to find out if that rings true in a few
moments here. A signal from her
right hand, and a second cannon fires a shot of forced
festivity on the other side. Not many fans cheer, most of
them scowl as they shake confetti from their persons and
Tweet their displeasure. Moxie advances to the ring,
something of a spring in her step that fortunately
manages to fall short of a skip. She smiles periodically,
but tries to maintain a neutral expression. Leaping to
the ring apron, she removes her hoodie before bunching it
up and tossing it to the crowd. Leaning back on the
ropes, she flips into the ring and extends her arms for a
final pose; drawing attention to the OWF Tag Team Title
strapped around her waist. She removes the
OWF Tag Team Championship; handing the Tag belt to the
OWF Official as her music fades out. Moxie shares some
words with Eva as she stands in the same corner as her;
while the focus turns to OWF Referee Dean Stern as he
holds the OWF Tag Team Championship Belts above his head.
He receives a nice ovation then moves to the side of the
ring, making an exit to drop off the belts at the time
keepers table. Still on the
outside he calls for the bell. (Ding, Ding,
Ding...) As soon as the
bell is rung, OWF Official Dean Stern begins to climb up
the Altitude O structure; using the steel rigging in one
of the corners to head up top. Bobby Shavonie -
Wait, where is he going? Nick Burst -
Dumbass, pins and submissions only happen up on the
platform. He's not needed down here. Bobby Shavonie -
Good call. All four
competitors watch the referee as he takes a good amount
of time, but finally makes it up the top of the Altitude
O structure. Doc turns to The Jackrabbit and tells him to
go up, and The Jackrabbit doesn't seem to pleased with
this decision. He speaks outloud to Holloway who shoves
him through the ropes to the apron's edge, moving him
towards the steel rigging in the nearest corner. He
commands Jackrabbit to climb and he starts; but Doc is
attacked at the same time by Moxie Roxie and Eva De La
Cruz. The two women fire away with a very different set
of attacks; Moxie using her legs to connect with Doc's
stomach, and thighs, while De La Cruz pummels Holloway
with a set of clubbing forearms to the face. They
overpower Doc Holloway as he drops to his knees, with Eva
quickly shifting her strikes into clubbing blows to the
back of her opponent while Roxie delivers kicks straight
away to the side of his face. The camera cuts away from
this beatdown to show The Jackrabbit nervously about five
feet above the ring, with another ten to go before he
reaches the platform that is shaped like a capital
"O". Back in the ring the nearest camera man
outside of the ring catches Eva De La Cruz and Moxie
Roxie, dubbed Team Me, picking Doc Holloway up to his
feet and setting him up for a double suplex. The two
ladies put all their effort into it but even in his
weakened state, Doc Holloway isn't going anywhere as he
digs his feet into the fabric of the canvas. The crowd is
taken back when Doc tries to perform a double suplex of
his own on Moxie and Eva, which would send them out of
the ring, but Roxie breaks free and lands on her feet;
leaving Eva De La Cruz to be lifting vertically into the
air. Thinking fast Moxie Roxie lays out and executes a
low dropkick to the left knee of Holloway, who is forced
to bring De La Cruz back to her feet in the ring as he
falls to his knees. Released from the suplex attempt Eva
refuses to let go of Doc Holloway and drops to her back;
delivering a short stacked DDT to her opponent, driving
Holloway's face flush into the mat. Back up on the steel
structure leading up to the platform, The Jackrabbit is
very careful with his steps as he nears the top; finally
pulling himself up, and rolling onto his stomach hugging
the ground even if it is fifteen feet above the squared
circle. He has no idea that his partner is being
systematically decimated by Team Me until he pushes
himself up to his feet and looks down into the ring. Nick Burst - I
have no fucking clue what Doc Holloway was thinking
sending The Jackrabbit up onto the platform. Bobby Shavonie -
No matter what happens to him throughout this match, Doc
still has to be up there for Team Me to retain the tag
titles; they can't beat him that badly. Plus didn't you
see how long it took The Jackrabbit to get up onto the
Altitude O section of this match? Imagine how long it
would have taken him if he actually got beaten up a
little bit. Nick Burst - Okay,
fine. But what does The Jackrabbit do now? Just sit up
there and jerk off? Bobby Shavonie -
Personally I hope he doesn't decide to masturbate... Nick Burst - It
was a fucking figure of speech, you creep. With Moxie Roxie
and Eva De La Cruz running on as much steam as they have
left, this being the second match of their night, they
stare at one another and at the same time point upwards.
They take off to opposite sides of the ring, climbing the
turnbuckles until they reach the steel bars that have
been welded together to provide support for the Altitude
O structure. They climb upwards, making much better time
than The Jackrabbit did; as he is split on what to do, as
he is approached on either side as he stands up on the
platform. It's not long before Moxie gets herself up onto
the Altitude O platform, joined by De La Cruz a second
later; and they both stare at The Jackrabbit who is
looking for a way out of this situation, standing halfway
between the two on the "O" shaped scaffold.
Taking off into a spring, Eva De La Cruz and Moxie Roxie
both run around the platform heading towards The
Jackrabbit who holds up his hands waiting for their
arrival. He manages to clock Eva with a boot to the
stomach, but is crushed with a running elbow strike to
the back of the head from Roxie as she brings her body to
a full cessation of movement. With The Jackrabbit on his
hands and knees trying to get up Moxie situates herself
behind him and butterflies Jackrabbit's arms behind his
back, exposing the entire front of his body to attack
from a recovered Eva De La Cruz. Bringing her right shin
across The Jackrabbit's jaw stuns him, but the left knee
to the sternum that directly follows it is what really
does damage. He falls limp, too heavy for Moxie to keep
holding up, and as she lets go of him she boots
Jackrabbit upon the back of his head for good measure
joining up with Eva De La Cruz as the two soak in the
collective boo's from the crowd. Down below them,
Doc Holloway has recovered as best he can and realizes
that he is left out of the party and moves to the nearest
corner. He climbs up to the top rope rather quickly in
order to grab onto the steel rigging that will allow him
ascend up to the scaffold. Team Me see him coming and
start putting the boots to The Jackrabbit, trying to push
him off the edge of the Altitude O structure and back
down into the ring. Even though he is a little beat up,
the fear of falling is enough to wake up his senses as he
grabs the platforms floor with both hands trying to
prevent a fall. Even though he is fighting back Moxie and
Eva still manage to will him to the edge, when Doc
Holloway gets up onto the Altitude O platform right
behind them. Bobby Shavonie -
All four competitors are up on the scaffold, so this
match could end via pinfall or submission at any time; as
long as all four of them are up there. Nick Burst - Which
is why it's puzzling to me why De La Cruz and Roxie want
Jackrabbit to fall. Bobby Shavonie -
Maybe they had a plan, go after one member of a team at a
time. The Tag Team
Champions turn their full attention to dumping The
Jackrabbit over the edge, and they achieve that; but as
he falls from the fifteen feet perch he grabs the arm of
Eva De La Cruz, and brings her along with him. The two
hit the mat at the same time, side by side, and shake the
ring so violently that the structure above it which is
supported by the beams in all four corners moves a bit.
The crowd is silent from the devastation they have just
seen, but soon come alive when they realize they've
witnessed a huge moment live. Nick Burst - JESUS
FUCKING CHRIST! Bobby Shavonie -
Oh my god! The Jackrabbit and Eva De La Cruz just fell,
what is it Nick; fifteen feet... into the ring? Nick Burst - And
it had to fucking suck. Bobby Shavonie -
Moxie Roxie and Doc Holloway still remain up on the
structure, though. Without a way to win the match, but
they still remain up there. Nick Burst - How
in the hell are Eva and Jackrabbit going to get the fuck
up there to win this match? Great fucking idea we're
using here. Didn't think this one through. Bobby Shavonie -
It's still relatively early in this match, Nick, there
are-- Nick Burst -
Relatively early? Tell that to the bodies of Eva De La
Cruz and The Jackrabbit after that fall. In horror Moxie
Roxie looks down at the mayhem inside of the ring, then
back over her shoulder to see Doc Holloway approaching
rather hastily. Holding up her arms Moxie Roxie
backpedals around the circular scaffold, keeping about
six feet of distance between herself and Holloway; but he
closes in rather quickly, lunging forward to grab at
Moxie. Dropping to her hands and knees Roxie crawls
through Doc's legs to pick herself up to her feet behind
him; and immediately jumps into the air to strike him
with a dropkick to the back of the head. It staggers Doc
forward but with his second wind breathing for him he
turns around and grabs Moxie by the head pulling her
forward into his chest and tossing her over his head in
one fluid motion, completing the belly to belly suplex.
Upon impact Moxie's body rolls near the edge of the
platform but friction becomes her best friend as she
slides to a stop, still damaged not only from the
offensive move from Doc; but her injuries from the first
match coming back as a reminder. As Doc Holloway gets up
to his feet he glances down off the structure to look
down at The Jackrabbit and Eva De La Cruz, who are only
now starting to come back to life; but neither are in a
rush to get back to their feet. Turning back to Moxie
Roxie, Doc Holloway steps in and scoops his opponent up
by the back of her head and drags her to her feet.
Swinging her small frame up over his right shoulder in a
front powerslam position Doc turns himself away from the
edge of the scaffold, turning towards an unoccupied spot
on the steel platforming, and swinging Moxie down onto
her back with a great deal of force. The structure
remains solid, doesn't sway or shake much due to the
supports from below, and it allows Doc to go right back
on the offensive as soon as he gets up to his knees.
Grabbing Roxie around the head he sets in a rear chin
lock which assists his attempts to stand her back up,
while also weakening her greatly; knowing that he cannot
try to finish her off just yet with both his and her
partners not on the structure. As the two get back to
their feet Holloway switches gears by letting up on the
chin lock in order to lift Moxie up, holding her
horizontally in the air before dropping to a knee and
bringing her straight down over his extended left thigh
with a backbreaker. Using his left hand under her chin,
and placing his right hand on Moxie's right knee, he
bends her in half stretching her out as Dean Stern moves
in to inform Doc that this move will not end the match.
He seems unconcerned with that notion and stays focused
on the task at hand, keeping the backbreaker stretch
applied on Moxie Roxie up on the platform. The camera
cuts away from the action up top and sets back down on
inside of the ring, where it is The Jackrabbit who rolls
up to his knees looking quite out of it as he crawls away
from Eva De La Cruz trying to get to the ropes. A few
steps behind him, De La Cruz has fatigue setting in at a
much higher pace with this being her second match and her
attempts at sitting up are pretty futile. As The
Jackrabbit gets to the ropes he pauses and looks up on
the platform, seeing Doc releasing Moxie from the
submission hold and calling for Jackrabbit to join him. A
deep sigh comes from The Jackrabbit as he stands himself
up and shuffles his body towards the corner, wincing in
pain with every step he takes. Eventually he gets to the
corner and climbs up the ropes, turnbuckle by turnbuckle
at a very slow pace, grabbing onto the steel rigging with
both hands and starts to climb. His fear of heights
doesn't even have a chance to kick in yet as Eva De La
Cruz comes out of nowhere to grab onto his feet, keeping
The Jackrabbit from getting any higher than he has gotten
up towards the Altitude O structure. Distracted by this
Doc Holloway doesn't see Moxie Roxie come up from behind
and dive forward, executing a chop block to his right
knee; bringing Doc down to size on the platform. Back
down in the ring Eva yanks Jackrabbit down, crotching him
on the top rope with his back to the ring as she
struggles to retain what little composure she has. Doing whatever she
can to keep Doc Holloway on the platform, Moxie stomps
away at his right leg; pausing every few stomps to take a
look at what her partner is doing. As of right now Eva is
climbing up the corner and lifting The Jackrabbit up to
his feet preparing him for a back drop off the top rope.
He almost falls victim to it but reaches forward with
both hands and grabs onto the steel rigging; and Eva De
La Cruz falls backwards, landing flat on her back in the
middle of the ring. His mind set to climb up The
Jackrabbit begins his ascent but stops, looks over his
shoulder, then drops back down to the top rope; turning
himself around to face the ring. Lining up De La Cruz one
last time, Jackrabbit leaps off the top rope going for a
frog splash; and comes crashing down across the bent
knees of the Current OWF Champion who counters the top
rope maneuver the only way she can. Bobby Shavonie -
Jackrabbit was going for that frog splash that he used
against his partner just over a week ago, but it wasn't
meant to be! Nick Burst - For a
guy afraid of heights he seems pretty comfortable right
now, and he got greedy. Moxie is still in control up on
the Altitude O structure and Doc probably could have used
The Jackrabbit's help. Bobby Shavonie -
They aren't working like a well-oiled machine so far,
Nick. Two separate plans that haven't come together. With Doc Holloway
tending to his knee, Moxie Roxie shuffles away in a skip
around the "O" structure to put as much
distance between herself and her opponent as possible;
hoping Eva De La Cruz can manage to join her before
Holloway recovers. Rolling over onto her hands and knees,
Eva De La Cruz crawls away from The Jackrabbit who is
holding his chest with both hands in extreme pain. All he
can do is watch as Eva fumbles with the ropes but uses
them to get up to her feet, and begins her climb of the
turnbuckles. Climbing up the steel support in the corner
Eva heads upwards towards the platform, keeping her eyes
above her and refusing to look back down. The camera
follows her progress which at first is rather fast but as
she nears the scaffold she slows down considerably. Back
down in the ring The Jackrabbit realizes Eva is on her
way up, and there's nothing he can do to stop her; so he
rises to his feet, limping to the opposite corner, and
looks to head up to the Altitude O structure as well. By
the time he reaches the top rope Eva De La Cruz makes it
up to the platform and is helped up by Moxie, who
regroups with her partner just in time for the full
recovery of Doc Holloway. Feeling confidence in numbers
the two members of Team Me head off in the same
direction, while Doc Holloway holds his ground and waits
for the two to come to him. As they get within striking
distance they stop once The Jackrabbit pops his head up
after climbing up the rigging, joining his partner and
evening the odds; as all four competitors are on their
feet up on the platform for the first time during this
contest. There is hesitation on the part of them all, but
quickly it falls into mayhem. The Jackrabbit rushes
forward and tackles Moxie Roxie to her back, rolling
around with her on the scaffold with the two of them both
coming dangerously close to the edge. Meanwhile Eva De La
Cruz takes a big step forward and cracks Doc with a
haymaker to his face, briefly knocking the big man back
on his heels but he immediately looks to retaliate;
kicking his right foot up towards her face, leveling Eva
with a standing big boot. In a very small area all four
superstars are basically stacked on top of each other,
but gradually begin spacing themselves out; mostly
because Holloway grabs Eva by her hair and leads her up
to her feet away from Jackrabbit and Roxie, who are still
struggling with each other trying to get the upper hand.
Doc scoops Eva up into the air and drops her with a body
slam right to her back on the unforgiving steel under his
feet, and he is right there to lift her right back up
within the span of a blink of an eye. Repeating the
motion Doc Holloway executes a second scoop slam,
planting Eva De La Cruz onto the platform when he turns
around to see Moxie Roxie mounting The Jackrabbit and
throwing punches down at his face. Walking away from Eva
and towards Moxie is Doc's first priority, his second is
to grab Moxie Roxie by her hair to peel her off of his
partner and up to her feet. Reacting to the stinging pain
in her scalp Moxie kicks her right leg backwards, nailing
Holloway between his legs which causes an immediate
release of her hair. He staggers backwards into the grasp
of Eva De La Cruz, who places her hands on top of his
shoulders while leaping into the air to secure her knees
against his back, and she falls backwards to nail the
double knee lungblower on Doc Holloway; a beautiful move
that saves her partner, but not from The Jackrabbit. As
soon as Moxie Roxie turns around she is nearly cut in
half at the waist with a diving spear from Jackrabbit,
leveling her right next to the fallen Doc Holloway, as it
is now The Jackrabbit and Eva De La Cruz left standing. Coming forward to
swing her right leg up at The Jackrabbit's head, Eva's
range is off by a few inches allowing her opponent to dip
his head out of harms way. He returns fire with a high
kick of his own, aimed at her jaw, but it is slapped away
by both hands of the OWF Champion. She drops to a crouch,
swinging her extended right leg at the ankles of
Jackrabbit but he leaps over the legsweep attempt and
kicks his right foot at the head of De La Cruz; who
narrowly rolls out of the way with a forward somersault,
bringing herself right back up to her feet. Planting her
right foot into the mat it is Eva De La Cruz who tries to
strike with a cescent kick but as The Jackrabbit bends
himself over at the waist, it flys over his head and
spins Eva around exposing her back. The Jackrabbit knows
he has this in the bag and he rears his right arm back
behind his right ear, but Eva backflips in the air to hit
a pele kick on the top of his head; dropping him to a
knee briefly, mostly out of shock. The standing fans
couldn't be exhibiting any more vocal anxiety as they
remain loud, remaining entertained while their limits are
tested. Now looking to take full control away from
one-half of the Challengers, Eva De La Cruz positions
herself on her feet right in front of the kneeling
Jackrabbit and sends a wild right kick hooking towards
his head. In brilliant fashion The Jackrabbit ducks his
head, but not his body, and manages to stick his arm up
between De La Cruz's legs; rolling her up onto her
shoulders with a school boy pin. OWF Referee Dean Stern
finally gets a chance to do his job and gently lowers
himself to his hands and knees, making the first count of
the match. 1... 2... Eva De La Cruz kicks out
with so much force she nearly propels herself off the
edge of the platform. As Eva De La Cruz starts to stand
up she realizes that Moxie Roxie is joining her, as is
Doc Holloway, and takes it slow to analyze her options.
Holloway seems concerned with going after Moxie for what
she did and that provides an opening for Eva to come
running in to blindside Doc Holloway with a leaping knee
strike to the side of his head. Sensing the turning of
the tables Moxie Roxie charges forward but is grabbed
around the throat by Doc's large left hand, but in his
daze he can't manage a lot of strength. Realizing this
The Jackrabbit comes in to go after Moxie, which she
catches out of the corner of her eye as she pulls
Holloway's hand off her neck. Thinking on her feet she
throws Doc's left arm backwards as hard as she can, and
the back of his fist smacks The Jackrabbit in the face
inadvertantly; sending him backpedaling on the heels of
his boots. Nick Burst - OOPS! Bobby Shavonie -
See those are the mistakes you will not see Moxie Roxie
and Eva De La Cruz make. Doc glances back
and in that second he has his right leg kicked out from
behind by Moxie Roxie, going back to the well and coming
up with a full pail as he collapses to his knees. Taking
alternating turns, Eva and Moxie trade off hitting Doc
with low kicks; De La Cruz striking his chest, and Roxie
hitting him upon his back. On the third go of it Eva De
La Cruz is stopped by The Jackrabbit who spins her around
and lays her out with a short right hand to the face,
then turns his attention to Moxie. Moving forward he
blocks a right forearm from Roxie with his left arm, and
catches her just under her jaw with a stiff elbow shot
that drops her to her back. Spinning around Jackrabbit
finds Eva back on her feet and she comes running at him,
ready to cut off his revival but he meets her with a knee
to the stomach. Being doubled-over there is nothing Eva
De La Cruz can do to counter when The Jackrabbit
butterflies both of her arms behind her back, holding her
almost in a pedigree position, then hoists her straight
up into the air. Falling backwards Jackrabbit hits the
double underhook suplex on Eva and suffers a bit himself
as his back makes contact with the steel platform, but
not as bad as De La Cruz has it for the moment. As he
gets up to his feet he comes upon Doc Holloway rising to
his as well, so now only the Challengers are standing up
on the Altitude O structure. The fans, impressed with
these two men before the match started, applaud them for
getting this far and cheer even louder when they head off
in opposite directions. Doc grabs up Eva De La Cruz,
peeling her off the platform in his attempts to bring her
up to a standing position; while Jackrabbit has more of
an issue returning Moxie to her feet, and actually
encounters resistance in the form of a right forearm shiv
to the face. Backed up a bit Jackrabbit waits for Moxie
to make her move, but it ends up being that she drops to
a knee trying to catch a breath. On a high Jackrabbit
comes barging in ready to keep the action up but doesn't
compensate for Moxie's mind being fresh as she brings him
chin-first down to the platform with a drop toe hold. A
few feet away Doc Holloway finally gets Eva up to her
feet, and Moxie knows this isn't good as she shifts her
attention back to Holloway's knee. As if he has a sixth
sense he realizes Moxie is coming and moves out of the
way as she ends up sprawled out, face down, on the
scaffold. This little lapse in time is all Eva needs to
break away from Doc Holloway and bring some offense of
her own, in the form of a knife edge chop to the chest.
The big man barely flinches and sends De La Cruz
backwards on the heels of her feet, trying to get out of
range of her opponent. He follows her around the
"O" structure, and doesn't defend himself when
she fires away at him; absorbing a toe kick to the
stomach, and he keeps on going. Finally realizing she
can't run forever De La Cruz stops herself and goes for
another kick, but Doc Holloway grabs it with both hands.
Trying everything she can Eva De La Cruz delivers an
enziguri to the side of her opponent's face, and that
actually knocks him down a peg or two. Seeing if her
partner will be helping her, Eva realizes that Moxie is
getting up to her knees just as The Jackrabbit is coming
charging right at her. There is no time for Roxie to
defend herself as she falls victim to a running low
dropkick to the head, toppling her over onto her left
side. There's a good deal of distance between the two
pairings of Doc with Eva and Jackrabbit with Moxie for
the first time up on on the Altitude O platform, and
still neither team has a decided advantage. Deciding the
lesser of two evils is The Jackrabbit, Eva darts away
from Doc as he struggles to stay on his feet and pummels
Jackrabbit with a running forearm. She stays up close on
him, delivering rapid fire forearms to his face and
backing him away from not only Moxie; but his partner as
well. Eventually The Jackrabbit makes a stand and shoves
Eva off of him, but eats a spinning back fist to the face
for his troubles. There he drops to his knees and Eva De
La Cruz uses the adrenaline pumping through her body to
scramble forward, ducking his head between her legs. She
manages to set him up for the package piledriver but when
she tries to lift him she realizes he is possibly too
heavy to lift. Unable to advance at all Jackrabbit stands
up tall and back body drops Eva De La Cruz flat to her
back, with no way to brace herself for impact on the
platform. Looking around The Jackrabbit sees Doc Holloway
only now coming to life across on the "O"
structure, approaching Moxie Roxie as she gets up to her
knees. Suddenly, the lights flicker out. Bobby Shavonie -
Oh crud! When they return,
"The Enigma" Talon is perched on the platform,
his arms outstretched, lead piping in each of his fists.
This gets the attention of Doc Holloway who passes by
Moxie Roxie, looking to get involved to protect his tag
team partner. Nick Burst - Well,
we had to expect this, Bobby... Bobby Shavonie -
Will this guy ever get tired of beating up The
Jackrabbit? Nick Burst - Would
you? The Jackrabbit is
staggered on his feet very beaten up already as Talon
approaches, lead piping raised to strike. The Jackrabbit
notices just in time, falling back to the platform,
begging Talon off. Talon raises the lead piping and then
pauses. He offers The Jackrabbit his hand. Doc stops in
his tracks just a few feet away, and doesn't know what to
do. Nick Burst - What
is he doing!? Bobby Shavonie -
Maybe Talon's had a change of heart, Nick! The Jackrabbit
takes the outstretched arm, and Talon helps him to his
feet. Talon nods, dropping the lead piping and patting
The Jackrabbit on the shoulder approvingly; as Doc is
attacked from behind by the duo of Moxie Roxie and Eva De
La Cruz. They focus on beating him down as the crowd
cheers their appreciation at the reconciliation of
Fusion; but the cheers quickly die to stunned silence as
The Jackrabbit kicks Talon in the gut, doubling him over.
Nick Burst - I
don't fucking think so, Bobby! He lifts him up
onto his shoulders, held upside down over his back, and
dropping down to his knees to deliver the head of Talon
into the steel platform a thunderous Last Laugh. Nick Burst - Holy
shit, Jackrabbit just dropped Talon! Bobby Shavonie -
What the heck was that about!? The Jackrabbit
stands over the fallen body of "The Enigma",
his hysterical laughter clearly audible over the stunned
audience. The lights begin to flicker once more, and
Talon is gone. Nick Burst - How
the fuck did he disappear after that? Bobby Shavonie -
Magic. Nick Burst - Magic
isn't real, asshole. What Talon is doing, it's pretty cut
and dry. Bobby Shavonie -
We can talk about that, or we can talk about how Moxie
Roxie is coming up behind The Jackrabbit. The Jackrabbit is
looking around for his former tag team partner when he is
passed by Moxie Roxie and locked up in a three-quarters
face lock. Before he knows it she backflips over his head
and sits out, finishing the asai DDT onto the platform;
and reaches forward to hook both of his legs. Nick Burst -
Tickled Pink! Bobby Shavonie -
She's got his legs hooked! Dean Stern moves
into prime position to make the count, ensuring
Jackrabbit's shoulders are on the mat. As he does so he
makes the count. 1... 2... His count is stopped
when Doc Holloway returns to the picture and punts Moxie
Roxie across the back of her head, forcing her to let go
of Jackrabbit's legs and fall over onto her side. An
enraged Eva De La Cruz hops on his back and begins
clubbing him with rights and lefts, bringing him down to
his hands and knees; where she continues her brutality.
Crossface shots to the side of his head rock Holloway
back and forth, and when Eva punctuates it with a stomp
to the back of the head Doc is flattened to the platform
once again. Turning around Eva yells at Moxie to get up
and bring The Jackrabbit with her, and she obeys by
grabbing him under his armpits leading him onto his feet.
As soon as De La Cruz approaches Jackrabbit springs back
to life and shoves Moxie backwards into Eva, and they
knock heads, knocking them both a bit loopy. The first
idea that pops into The Jackrabbit's mind is to grab each
of them by the head, and gets ready to headbutt Team Me
into each other. Realizing exactly what is happening the
Tag Team Champions stop themselves short and deliver
stereo fists, Moxie Roxie's right hand and Eva De La
Cruz's left, into The Jackrabbit's stomach. Thinking on a
different plane than the Challengers, Moxie and Eva set
their opponent up for a double suplex without even having
to talk to one another. With ease they hoist him
vertically into the air; where The Jackrabbit is stopped
by the hands of Doc Holloway, who gently pulls his
partner downwards onto his feet on the platform. After
aiding Jackrabbit with that counter Doc steps forward to
clock Roxie with a right jab, then sends a left hook to
the jaw of De La Cruz; both of whom remain on their feet.
Now Moxie is the one receiving a left hook to the face,
and Eva is cut with a right jab, as Doc Holloway takes it
to the opposing team. He is joined by The Jackrabbit who
heads off to deal with Eva while Holloway throws one last
shot at Moxie's face, which knocks her flat to her back.
Involuntarily she sits right up, immobilized due to the
pain, as Holloway watches The Jackrabbit set up Eva De La
Cruz in a reverse waist lock. Bobby Shavonie - I
don't know if my heart can take anymore of this, Nick. Nick Burst - Why,
it's just getting good! Bobby Shavonie -
Neither of these teams have much left, and I just don't
want to see anyone get hurt. Nick Burst -
Nobody is going to get hurt. You'd have to be a moron to
toss someone off the platform now. Holloway turns
away and ends up missing when De La Cruz performs a judo
toss, throwing Jackrabbit down to the platform to get out
of the waist lock. Looking back at Doc as he approaches
Moxie, Eva gets frantic and begins kicking Jackrabbit
towards the edge of the "O" shaped scaffold
over the side that is a sheer drop to the concrete floor. Bobby Shavonie -
OR... you see your tag partner is in danger, and want to
ensure they can't be pinned! Nick Burst - Holy
fuck, I didn't even think of that! Bobby Shavonie -
Ehh! Who has the brains now? By the time Doc
Holloway brings Moxie Roxie up to her feet he realizes
that Eva is close to sending his tag partner to his doom,
and lets go of his hold on Moxie; allowing her to drop to
her knees. Out of the corner of her eye Eva De La Cruz
sees Doc Holloway coming and turns her body towards him,
only to lay out and nail him with a low dropkick to the
right knee. The impact on the platform isn't the problem
for him as he collapses upon his stomach, but he slides
and ends up over the edge; holding onto the brim of it
with all ten of his fingertips right next to his partner
who is nearing the edge as well. The crowd can be heard
gasping as they see what is going on, while even Moxie
Roxie and Eva De La Cruz are unaware of their advantage
here. By the time De La Cruz realizes all she has to do
is stomp upon the fingers of Doc and he will fall, The
Jackrabbit bursts up to his feet and attempts a spear;
but he gets caught in a front face lock on his weak
attempt. In one beautifully fluid motion Eva spins
around, keeping a hold of Jackrabbit's head, and falls to
her back to execute a textbook spinning neckbreaker. She
isn't finished and she keeps a hold of Jackrabbit's head,
peeling him off the platform and up into a front face
lock once again where she lays out; delivering his skull
into the steel scaffold with a DDT. Again Eva De La Cruz
keeps her right arm tucked tightly around the neck of The
Jackrabbit, using the front face lock to bring his weak
body up to his feet. While all of this is going on Doc
Holloway still hangs by his fingers, but realizes at his
height he could fall and land on his feet in the ring
with the proper swing. Back up on the platform, while
under it Holloway begins kicking his legs like a kid in a
school yard trying to build up speed on a swing set, Eva
De La Cruz finally gets The Jackrabbit back up to his
feet when she is stunned to find herself being flipped
over her opponent's head with a northern lights suplex
that The Jackrabbit bridges his back to turn into a pin.
The referee makes a judgement call saying that Doc
Holloway isn't on the platform, and is further justified
when he lets go of the platform to land on his feet
inside of the ring; saving himself from a dangerous fall
to the concrete. Glancing up onto the scaffold he sees
Moxie Roxie come out of nowhere to grab the referee Dean
Stern from the back and uses him to swing herself around;
delivering a 619 to the groin of The Jackrabbit as he
gets up to his feet. Bobby Shavonie -
The Roxlide! Nick Burst - And
now Team Me can really take apart The Jackrabbit. He yells out in
pain as Roxie regroups with her partner, unaware that Doc
Holloway is on his way back up the steel structure in one
of the corners; looking to rejoin the fray. The two come
at Jackrabbit but he fights them off, blocking a
roundhouse kick from Moxie Roxie with his right arm; and
deflecting a kick from De La Cruz towards the left side
of his rib cage with his left forearm. Seeing no other
way out he rushes forward and clotheslines both women
down to the platform, before collapsing down to a knee
himself. Nick Burst - Or
maybe not. This gives Doc
Holloway time to climb up the rigging and pull himself
back onto the Altitude O structure. He approaches Eva De
La Cruz first, lifts her up to her feet and hoists her up
over his shoulders; locking in a torture rack submission
on her that Dean Stern has to get in on. He asks Eva if
she wants to give up, but she shakes her head no, as
Moxie starts to pick herself up and realizes what is
going on. As she stands up she is grabbed by The
Jackrabbit and locked in an abdominal stretch which he
turns into a pumphandle hold. In the blink of an eye he
swings Moxie up over his shoulder into a front powerslam
position and drops to his knees; delivering Moxie's head
right into the canvas. Bobby Shavonie -
The Jackrabbit hit The Standing Joke on Moxie Roxie while
Doc Holloway has Eva De La Cruz in the torture rack! Nick Burst - Oh
man, things are NOT looking good for Team Me! Pulling himself up
to his feet The Jackrabbit doesn't bother pinning Moxie
and turns his back to her watching Doc Holloway wrench
away on the body of Eva De La Cruz, who refuses to give
up to the torture rack. She has now been trapped in the
move for about a minute and she is fading, but she is
conscious enough to shake her head from side to side
letting the world know she doesn't give up. In her last
burst of energy she starts to kick her legs and this
throws Doc off balance enough so that she can swing
around behind him, and engage him in a standing cobra
clutch. The move doesn't have much impact with the height
difference, but Eva has already thought about that and
sits out; driving Holloway's face into the canvas of the
squared circle with a cobra clutch bulldog. This act of
offense brings The Jackrabbit in as he tucks his head
between Eva De La Cruz's legs as soon as she rises to her
feet, and scoops her up over his back; looking for the
kneel-down his opponent's belly-to-his back piledriver he
calls The Last Laugh. It is countered by Eva De La Cruz
who performs a sunset flip, rolling The Jackrabbit up
onto his shoulders with the referee right there to make
the count. 1... 2... 3; NO! The Jackrabbit kicks
out, bounding right up to his feet ready to pounce on Eva
De La Cruz when he is grabbed from behind by Moxie Roxie
and locked in a dragon sleeper. With Doc Holloway only
pushing himself up off the mat at this instant Eva De La
Cruz moves in and grabs Jackrabbit's legs and tosses them
into the air; assisting Moxie in executing a beautiful
reverse suplex on her opponent. The result of the move
should leave Moxie in good shape to pin him, but she
isn't finished as she uses her last bits of energy to
rise up onto her feet; holding The Jackrabbit in a
three-quarters face lock. At this time Doc Holloway is on
all fours, unaware of what is happening to his opponent
as his only focus is to get to his feet; which Eva
ignores as she watches Moxie backflip through the air.
Again, the asai DDT is hit but Moxie doesn't go for a
cover due to the pain she has incurred throughout this
match. As soon as Moxie
hops up to her feet after hitting Tickled Pink once again
she walks forward right into the waiting arms of a
now-standing Doc Holloway, who scoops Moxie Roxie up and
holds her upside down in a tombstone piledriver position.
Dropping to his knees her skull impacts the steel
platform and she falls limp in that instant; but Doc
isn't too well off himself. Right now all four
competitors are in terrible shape; most of them, along
with the fans at home, probably expected the biggest
danger to be the fall. Turns out the steel platform that
they have been dropping each other on has leveled the
playing field considerably. The Jackrabbit is just
stirring now as his eyes look next to him to see Moxie
Roxie, probably out of instinct only, rolling over onto
her stomach; her eyes glazed over. Eva De La Cruz, who
seems to be in the best shape of the bunch, comes running
in and boots Doc Holloway right in the face as he tries
to stand himself up. It has little effect and he stands
up right in front of her, and in a moment of lost
confidence throws a terrible right hand that is blocked
by Doc. Stringing his counter together he dips down and
Doc Holloway scoops Eva De La Cruz up over his shoulders,
locking in a torture rack submission that she quickly
falls out of, knowing the dangers of the move. As she
approaches Doc she is met with a punch to her stomach,
then has her head ducked between his legs. A second later
she is lifted up into the air in a standing crucifix
position; while a few feet away Moxie Roxie fights to get
back to her feet with The Jackrabbit right at her side.
Doc Holloway delivers Eva right down onto the back of her
head with the crucifix powerbomb, and quickly drops to
his knees to cover her; hooking her outside leg. Nick Burst - ROD
OF ASCLEPIUS! Moxie Roxie gets
up to her knees but is tackled down to the platform by
Jackrabbit, just as OWF Official Dean Stern drops to all
fours and makes the count. 1... 2... 3! Bobby Shavonie -
Wow! I can't believe it! Missy Janson - The
winners of this match... and NEEEEEEEWWWW OWF WORLD TAAAG
TEAAAAM CHAMPIOOOOONS... DOOOOOC HOLLOWAAAAY... AND THE
JAAAAAACKRABBIT! Moxie Roxie gives
up her attempts, and The Jackrabbit raises up to his
knees. The fans actually cheer for this, and they are
just as shocked as the two men who won the match. Nick Burst - The
reign of Eva De La Cruz and Moxie Roxie has come to an
end. Bobby Shavonie -
It had to happen at some point, I wonder if they'll
continue to team. Nick Burst - Ha,
yeah right. I'd be more worried if The Jackrabbit and Doc
Holloway can function as the Tag Team Champions. Bobby Shavonie -
Well they have won the last two matches they've been in
on Pay Per View! Nick Burst - I'll
give them that, and I'll forget about the fact that Eva
and Moxie had two matches tonight as well. Doc Holloway
and The Jackrabbit earned this win. The referee,
unable to grab the tag team titles which are down at the
time keepers table, moves in to raise the arms of The
Jackrabbit and Doc Holloway into the air on the platform;
signifying their victory. The two men look at each other,
with The Jackrabbit more pleased in the moment than Doc
is, while Moxie Roxie and Eva De La Cruz stare at each
other from their prone positions on the platform. Bobby Shavonie -
Well folks, we have has a great night. New Champions
crowned, a couple of great matches, and we are on our way
into the Fall! Nick Burst - Night
is over? Bobby Shavonie -
Yeah, we're way over our alloted time. Nick Burst - Wow.
Alright. Bobby Shavonie -
So for myself and my partner, thank you for joining us
tonight and we look forward to seeing you on September
27th for OWF Friday Addiction! Nick Burst -
Goodnight! The two winners
make their way down from the platform, climbing very
carefully down the steel rigging to ensure they can get
their Tag Titles before the telecast ends. About a minute
passes and the production team allows the silence as the
image of Doc Holloway and The Jackrabbit being handed the
OWF Tag Team Titles brings the crowd to a rousing ovation
just as we cut to the OWF logo; and then to black. |
