Immediately from
the back we come up on a shot of Missy Janson, the OWF
Ring Announcer, as she stands tall with a microphone in
her hand. Missy Janson -
HELLO OMAHA, NEBRASKA AND I AM PLEASED TO WELCOME YOU TO
OWF SHOCK AND TERROR; LIVE ON PAY PER VIEW! As expected the
crowd reacts by nearly blowing the roof off the building
with their cheers, forcing Missy to stop her
announcements for the time being until they quiet down.
That moment comes a few seconds later. Missy Janson - And
it is my honor to inform you that it is time for the
first match of the evening... Again the fans
cheer but they settle themselves down, allowing Missy to
continue. Missy Janson - It
is a normal tag match, scheduled for one-fall with no
time limit... AND IT IS FOR THE OWF TAG TEAM
CHAMPIONSHIP! Taking a breather
the rabid crowd picks up for Missy, cheering out loud. Missy Janson -
Introducing first... the Challengers... First... from New
York City, New York... ADAM WILSON! Crossroads by
Avenged Sevenfold sounds through the arena, the lights
fade out leaving only darkness on the stage. A shadow
appears, visible for only a brief second before becoming
one with the darkness again. With a loud bang as the rest
of the instruments enter the fray, the lights go up
revealing Adam Wilson to the audience. He lets out a
chilling guttural shout, clearly audible above the music.
He is ready to fight. Bobby Shavonie -
This is Wilson's second pay per view appearance, and I
bet he's hoping this one goes better than his last. Nick Burst - Well
that's a fucking given, because he lost to Freedom Kid at
his first pay per view. Anything north of losing for Adam
Wilson is an improvement. Bobby Shavonie -
Aligning with Talon came literally out of nowhere, but
they seem to have similar personalities. Nick Burst - And
that may be all they need to team up tonight and become
Tag Team Champions. We know they've got talent, we know
they've got the creepy weird guy thing down, but now it's
all about execution. Bobby Shavonie -
Going against a new team like The Jackrabbit and Doc
Holloway probably helps their cause, as well. Nick Burst -
Maybe. We'll see. Wilson slicks his
hair back and marches to the ring slapping his chest,
shouting to the fans, trying to get them fired up,
whether they hate him or not. As the ring draws nearer he
stops dead in his tracks. Wilson takes a deep breath and
a cocky smile crosses his face. With a burst of energy he
slides in to the ring and mounts the nearest turnbuckle,
raising his hand to the masses. As it lowers Wilson
continues his vocal barrage of the crowd before
dismounting and crossing the ring. He leans back against
the ropes, staring at the ramp, bouncing ever so
slightly. Calm once more, he looks determined, waiting
for the match to start as his music fades out. Back
outside of the ring Missy Janson is focused on by the
production team, and she speaks up. Missy Janson - And
his partner... from Parts Unknown... TALON! The lights in the
arena cut out. "I Stand Alone" by Godsmack hits
and after a few lyrics two spotlights focus on the ramp.
A figure stands there in a trenchcoat, head bowed, hair
covering his face. As the music plays one spotlight then
the next flickers off. A few moments
later both spotlights focus on the ring. Standing on the
second rope at one of the turnbuckles, facing the ring,
is Talon. His arms are stretched out to either side with
a piece of lead-piping held in each. Bobby Shavonie -
Talon needed to find someone to team with to get his
hands on The Jackrabbit, and he picked Adam Wilson. Nick Burst -
Probably the smartest thing President Chase Johnson has
done since he has been appointed. Bobby Shavonie -
It did give us this match, but it also gives Talon a
chance to legally brutalize his former tag team partner
in The Jackrabbit. Nick Burst - First
off, if he can do it let him; he got the match, if he
beats up Jackrabbit that's up to him. Secondly, Doc
Holloway has defended his partner as of late and I don't
think he'd just let Talon fucking destroy him. Bobby Shavonie -
You're probably right. Regardless of what happens it
should be one heck of a match! Nick Burst - The
ones with personal issues behind them always are! After glancing
around the arena he hops off the rope. Discarding the
lead pipes to the mat in his corner passing by Adam
Wilson on the way, under the ropes, and removing his
trenchcoat Talon prepares for his match as his music
fades out. Back outside of
the ring, the Ring Announcer remains proudly standing
ready to continue her announcements. Missy Janson - And
their opponents... First, from Tombstone, Arizona... he
is one-half of the Current OWF Tag Team Champions... DOC
HOLLOWAY! The modern, crisp
image flickers and stutters out, replaced by an aged
sepia filter. The opening clap-STOMP of "God's Gonna
Cut You Down" by Johnny Cash begins to sound, and
Doc Holloway saunters out onto the stage, his boots
falling loosely in time to the music; with his OWF Tag
Title slung over his right shoulder. He pauses at the
ramp, glancing around the arena, long brown hair framing
his stoic face. He resumes his slow walk to the ring,
muttering too low for the camera to hear. He mounts the
apron without a flourish and steps through the ropes. Bobby Shavonie -
These two teams shared words just nine days ago on
Addiction, errr, well Doc Holloway listened at least and
the other three spoke. Nick Burst - This
is a guy who gets it done between the bells and inside of
the ropes, as shown by his impressive track record here
in the OWF. Bobby Shavonie -
Agreed. Becoming a Tag Champion this fast is no easy
task, esspecially considering who they won the belts
from. Nick Burst - And
now they'll find out just how hard it is to keep those
belts, against another great team as their first
challengers. "Go
and tell that long-tongued liar, Doc delicately
removes a crucifix from round his neck, heads for the
nearest turnbuckle, and dangles the cross on its chain
around the post. "Tell
'em that God's gonna cut 'em down..." He takes up that
corner and lays in wait as his music fades out. The
cameras cut back outside of the ring to Missy. Missy Janson - And
his partner... he is the other-half of the Current OWF
Tag Team Champions... THE JACKRABBIT! The arena lights
dim, and hysterical laughter sounds through the arena. A
series of rabbits appear on the big screen, their eyes a
crimson red. "Out Of My Head" by Puddle Of Mudd
begins to play, as smoke fills the entrance-ramp and blue
strobe lights scan the arena. Onto the ramp steps The
Jackrabbit. He is wearing one of his trademark T-Shirts,
and his plaid, wrestling shorts; wearing the OWF Tag Team
Championship, upside down, around his waist. Bobby Shavonie -
Do you think that The Jackrabbit has finally gotten over
Talon's betrayal? Nick Burst - I
doubt it, there's still some personal fucking agenda and
that's what led us to this match in the first place. Bobby Shavonie -
Doc Holloway was dragged into this first, now Adam
Wilson. Where does it end? Nick Burst -
Probably tonight. As New Champions, who finally seem to
be on the same page, I think Doc and Jackrabbit have the
edge heading into this one. If they can turn back Talon
and Wilson, they'll be on their way to a long
Championship reign. Bobby Shavonie -
And if not? Nick Burst - Then
I expect this Talon/Jackrabbit feud to escalate rather
quickly. The Jackrabbit
begins to walk down the ramp as the music picks up, and
he then runs and slides into the ring as blue strobe
lights scan the arena. He climbs the nearest turnbuckle,
and laughs outloud to himself, raising both arms and
wriggling the index fingers on each as the fans cheer
him. The Jackrabbit then jumps back down, and paces the
ring, looking entirely as though he has no idea where he
is as he heads to the side of Doc Holloway. His music
fades out, and the two men share a contentious stare as
Dean Stern approaches and asks for their belts. The two men hand
them over and the OWF Official heads to the center of the
ring, holding both belts above his head. Quickly he heads
off to the side of the ring and passes the titles to a
waiting Missy Janson, who brings them back to the time
keepers table. Once she gets there she doesn't even have
time to sit down as Stern calls for the bell, seeing that
The Jackrabbit has rushed at Talon and begun to pepper
him with strikes. (Ding, Ding,
Ding) Talon is backed up
into his corner and The Jackrabbit doesn't care that Adam
Wilson is there to interfere, firing any kind of shot he
can at his former tag team partner before the referee
steps in. The referee doesn't really do much, but notices
Adam Wilson tag himself in and pull Talon out of the ring
before being yanked over the top rope by The Jackrabbit
in complete anger. The fans are firmly behind Jackrabbit
as he pounces on Adam and begins firing away at his face
until his opponent is able to make his escape, but The
Jackrabbit stays right on his tail. Trying to stand up on
his own Wilson is grabbed from behind in a full nelson by
his opponent, which he easily worms his way out of to hit
a rolling arm drag that puts some space between the two
men for the time being. Rounding up to his feet The
Jackrabbit charges at Adam Wilson and they both execute
simultaneous right forearm shivs that are so powerful
they stand stunned just inches in front of one another.
Wilson goes on the attack trying for another forearm but
it is blocked by the left arm of The Jackrabbit who
returns the favor with a forearm shot of his own,
spinning Adam around on his heels and exposing his back.
The Jackrabbit comes up from behind, again setting in a
full-nelson lock but once more Wilson is prepared and
pulls himself free; while keeping a hold of The
Jackrabbit's right arm. He irish whips him towards the
ropes and releases one-half of the Tag Team Champions
into them back-first as he widens his stance awaiting his
return. On the rebound The Jackrabbit hits the mat and
baseball slides between the ajar legs of the Challenger
and props himself back up on his feet behind Adam Wilson,
and for a third time engages him in the full-nelson. As
soon as he has his arms tucked under Wilson's The
Jackrabbit wastes no time, not letting Adam counter this
one, as he picks him up into the air and slams him face
first into the mat at his side with the full-nelson
facebuster. With the tiny bit of an advantage Jackrabbit
grabs at Adam's right arm and drags him towards his
corner, tagging in Doc Holloway and holding Wilson's arm
up so that Doc can take over. He grabs it at the wrist
and locks in an arm wringer bringing Adam Wilson back to
a standing position while The Jackrabbit exits the ring,
using the weak submission to bring his opponent back into
the center of the ring. Almost immediately Adam Wilson
somersaults onto his back then kicks his legs into the
air, bringing himself back to his feet with a perfect kip
up and reverses the momentum Doc has on him enough to
slap away his arm. Rolling back towards his corner Wilson
tags in Talon, who is more than prepared to go after
Holloway as he steps through the ropes. Or so it seems as
he approaches and gets rocked with a series of precision
punches directed right at his face, with Holloway
alternating his striking hands. Winding up his right
Holloway fires it at Talon's head but it is ducked under
by his opponent, and he pulls himself behind Doc and
lunges forward to chop block the back of his right knee.
Once Holloway hits the mat it's like a drop of blood fell
into the ocean as Talon focuses in on the right leg and
begins stomping on it without remorse above and below the
knee of Doc Holloway. He gets in about three or four
solid kicks before the referee Dean Stern steps in to
warn Talon to back off, but he doesn't do so. Instead he
drops to his knees and delivers clubbing hammerfists to
the inside of Doc's right leg, causing the official to
start his manditory five count. 1, 2, 3, 4;
Talon, still on his knees, briefly holds his arms up in
the air to show he has given a break, then goes right
back on the attack trying to dismantle the knee of his
opponent. Before the OWF Official can restart his count
he catches The Jackrabbit entering the ring illegally and
heads over to cut him off that the pass, giving Talon all
the time in the world to work on Holloway's right leg.
Punches start it out but as the Challenger gets to his
feet he goes back to stomps until he feels satisfied, and
only then does he grab Doc's right leg; using it to drag
him along the mat back towards his corner just as The
Jackrabbit begrudgingly exits outside of the ropes. The
referee turns around in time to see Adam Wilson tag back
into the match and enter the ring, laying a boot to the
damaged right leg of Doc Holloway before Talon releases
it and heads out of the ring. Spinning around the leg of
Doc Holloway with his own, as if setting up for a figure
four, Wilson drops to his knees for the single leg knee
breaker bringing a gutteral yell from Holloway as he digs
his fingers into the mat trying to pull himself back into
the center of the ring; hoping to avoid the threat of
multiple fast tags by his opponents. In pursuit Adam
watches and waits for the right moment before securing a
hold of his opponent's right foot, using it to fully
extend Holloway's right leg while stepping on the ankle
of Doc's left leg; and begins splitting his legs like a
wishbone. It's an unorthodox submission but still one
that warrants Dean Stern's attention as he gets into
Doc's face, asking if he wants to give up. Shaking his
head from side to side Holloway tries to pull his legs
free but is initially unable to do so, remaining at the
mercy of Adam Wilson. Somehow he pulls his left leg free
and kicks his boot up into the chin of Wilson causing him
to give up on the hold as he staggers back a step, giving
Doc a chance to roll over onto his stomach while Adam
turns around to tag Talon back into the match. The fans
get amped up trying to will Doc Holloway to his corner
where The Jackrabbit holds his right arm over the top
rope, anticipating the tag; but it doesn't come as Talon
gets into the ring and rushes up on Holloway. He grabs
one-half of the OWF Tag Team Champions right leg and
hoists it high into the air, only to drive Doc's knee cap
straight down into the canvas which sends shockwaves of
pain up and down his spine; and most importantly, keeps
him from getting any closer to his own corner. Nick Burst -
Incredible teamwork from Adam Wilson and Talon, and I
never would have expected it. Bobby Shavonie -
Meanwhile The Jackrabbit's anger towards Talon seems to
have gotten the Tag Team Champions into the hole they are
currently in. Nick Burst - Doc's
knee has taken a beating so far, and if this keeps up
this is going turn into a handicapped match real fucking
fast. Rolling around in
pain Doc Holloway can do nothing as his body is dragged
towards the ropes, and his right leg is laid over the
bottom rope. The referee Dean Stern steps in to give
Talon a warning, which he seems to abide, until he steps
onto the bottom rope and leaps into the air; jumping down
on top of the knee of Doc with his rear, bending his leg
at a terrible angle. Using both of his hands Holloway
pulls his leg off the ring cable to ensure that he
doesn't suffer anymore damage by those means, sliding
himself back towards the middle of the squared circle
while Talon punts his right knee cap as he tries to pull
himself out of his opponent's range of strikes. Instead
of going for another physical attack when he gets to
Holloway's right leg, Talon bends down and grabs his
foot; using it to roll Doc over onto his stomach, where
he wraps him up in an STF submission. The right leg of
Doc Holloway is caught up in the crux of Talon's right
knee as he cinches in the crossface over his mouth,
completing the submission that brings the referee down to
his stomach to check on Holloway's condition. At first he
uses his hands trying to break the interlocking fingers
of Talon and escape the submission, but when that doesn't
work he digs his finger tips into the fabric of the mat
and starts clawing upon it; doing anything he can to get
to his corner. He makes some really good progress but
suddenly stops a few feet away from his partner, who is
just dying to get back into the action, and looks to be
weakening significantly. The crowd is entranced by the
action and stays buzzing until they watch The Jackrabbit
enter the ring looking to break up the submission, but
once again he is stopped by the OWF Referee Dean Stern;
who draws a load of boo's from the crowd just for doing
his job. The second The Jackrabbit enters the ring Talon
gives up the submission and using the right leg of his
opponent, drags Holloway all the way back to his own
corner waiting for the official to get his eyes back on
the action. As soon as he does he calls for Wilson to tag
him on his back, which he does, and without any goading
Adam Wilson ascends to the top turnbuckle from outside of
the ropes. Talon keeps a hold on Doc's right leg keeping
him immobilized as his partner perches himself on the top
rope and jumps straight into the air. His body becomes
almost completely horizontal to the mat as he drives his
right elbow into the small of Doc's back with a top rope
elbow drop; which is a thing of absolute beauty. As soon
as the aerial assault occurs Talon exits the ring through
the ropes and watches Adam roll Doc over onto his back,
and lay across his chest in a lateral press which brings
Dean Stern in to begin a count. 1... 2... Doc's
upper body, which hasn't been attacked too much, lifts up
pushing his opponent off of him and thus breaking the
pin; which the Challenger Adam Wilson doesn't take very
kindly too. On his knees he cradles the back of Doc
Holloway's head with his left hand and begins mauling him
with four successive legal forearm strikes to the same
point on his face. Taken out of his element a bit
Holloway falls into a daze and this affords Wilson enough
time to stand up and tag Talon back into the match.
Entering the ring he grabs Doc around the head while Adam
exits the ring, and uses it to begin leading him back up
to his feet. Outside on the apron The Jackrabbit grows
more and more frustrated and tries to orchestrate a chant
to get behind Doc, which is just about all he can do
since he has become a spectator. There is a bit of
struggle for Talon to do so since Doc's right leg isn't
sound enough for him to stand on, but using his own
strength he powers Holloway up enough that he can bend
him over and lock him in a gutwrench position. Wrapping
both of his arms around the waist of Doc is the first
step, but the second step is halted when Holloway refuses
to be lifted up for a gutwrench powerbomb. A second attempt
ends up with the same result, and Doc drops down to his
damaged right knee to completely kill the attempt; but
Talon doesn't give up, pulling Doc up from that knee and
trying for the gutwrench powerbomb for a third time. It's
a huge mistake as he pulls his own body off balance and
falls victim to a back body drop from Doc Holloway,
sending his opponent flipping over onto his back while
setting his own eyes on The Jackrabbit in his corner. The
fans get loud in support of the OWF Tag Team Champions,
more specifically Doc Holloway as he's about half the
length of the ring away from making the tag and because
of that shuts out the entire world around him to crawl on
his elbows, military style, away from the center of the
ring. The move isn't all that powerful but it is so
suprising that the shock of the back body drop alone
sends Talon scrambling back to his corner, tagging Adam
Wilson back into the match thinking he has a better
chance of reeling Doc in at this point in the contest.
Wilson gets back into the ring, instantly approaches,
heading for the right leg of his opponent once more. When
he has a hold of it he rolls Holloway off of his stomach,
and onto his back. For his efforts he receives the left
boot of the Tag Team Champion upon his sternum,
successfully pushing Adam down to the mat and releasing
himself from his grasp. Getting lively again the sold-out
crowd here in Omaha, Nebraska tries to verbally will
Holloway the rest of the way to make the tag to the
outstretched arm of The Jackrabbit. They are just an arms
length away from making the tag when Adam Wilson
re-enters the picture and grapevines his legs around
Doc's right, and secures him in an ankle lock that stops
his progress to his corner. A huge gasp is heard from the
crowd but that changes when Doc Holloway, even in a great
deal of pain, still reaches his right hand up to his
partner and it looks like they may just be able to secure
the tag. Everyone focuses in on the two right hands of
the Tag Team Champions when Talon enters the ring, rushes
from corner-to-corner, and elbows The Jackrabbit with
such force that he is sent flying off the apron and
crashes into the steel guardrail at ringside. The arena
is filled with boos as OWF Referee Dean Stern heads away
from Wilson and Holloway to scold Talon and usher him
back to his corner, giving him a stern warning that he
will not tolerate that. Bobby Shavonie -
Oh come on! The referee has been on top of The Jackrabbit
entering the ring, but he just slaps Talon on the wrist
for doing worse? Nick Burst - He
was out of position and made a bad call. Would you rather
him disqualify Talon right now, and leave this matter
unsettled as it stands, or let these fuckers fight it
out? Bobby Shavonie -
That doesn't matter. I still think our officials have to
be unbiased, and be seen as such. Nick Burst - He's
trying to keep everything kosher, Bobby. No one is
perfect, and with animosity like this you're lucky Stern
hasn't just thrown his fucking hands up and let them tear
each other limb-from-limb. Willingly walking
across the ring Talon ignores the referee and makes his
exit, getting back into his corner while Adam Wilson
keeps the ankle lock applied; even though Holloway has
both of his hands on the bottom rope. This should be
enough for him to get a rope break but as Stern finishes
talking to Talon it turns out Talon isn't finished
talking to the referee, keeping his attention away from
an illegal move being applied. Doing everything he can to
pull himself forward ends up only causing Doc Holloway
even more pain and when Adam Wilson feels like his hold
is at risk of being broken he ends it himself, standing
up to grab Doc by his right boot. Moving him along the
mat like a lifeless mannequin Adam pulls Holloway into
the center of the ring and backs off, leaning against the
ropes to look out into the crowd just in time for the
referee to turn around to focus on the legal competitors
in this match. Bobby Shavonie -
How convenient that the referee saw NOTHING of that,
right? Nick Burst - We
saw it, and we can judge it as we want; but it's legal if
you don't get caught. Instead of heading
back to his corner like everyone expects him to Adam
Wilson rests, allowing his body to catch up with his
mind; as being on the offense, in and out of the ring,
has tired him out a bit. His eyes are peeled on Doc
Holloway, just like everyone else inside of the
Centurylink Center, as he uses his arms to execute a push
up bringing himself to, threes instead of fours; his left
knee, and the palms of both of his hands as he deals with
the pain in his right leg. On the outside of the ring The
Jackrabbit crawls his way to the ring apron and grabs
onto the skirt of it, using that to pull himself back up
towards his corner. With all of this in consideration,
still, Wilson doesn't attack, seemingly wanting Doc to
either make a tag or waste energy trying to do so. What
he sees boggles his mind as Holloway pushes himself up to
a single knee, and struggles to get both feet under the
weight of his body; but stands up tall, turning away from
his partner who has just gotten back up to his feet in
the corner as he chooses to deal with Adam Wilson
instead. Feeling a little unsettled Adam Wilson moves in
starkly looking for a short running clothesline but Doc
plants his left foot and twirls around behind his
opponent; locking in a standing sleeper hold in the
absolute center of the squared circle that gets the crowd
riled up all over again. He digs it in deep and Wilson
swings his arms around as the blood supply to his brain
is gradually diminished by the second while trapped in
the submission, bringing in the referee to check on Adam.
About ten seconds pass while he is trapped in the sleeper
and he starts to fade, not once even considering giving
up to this hold but now he may not have a choice as he
slips closer and closer into unconsciousness. In a last
ditch effort, that ends up working, Adam reaches both of
his hands up and wraps them around the back of Holloway's
head and drops to his rear; bringing Doc's chin down upon
the crown of Wilson's head with a vicious jawbreaker. The
desperation move works and gives Wilson an opening to
rush back to his corner where he tags in Talon, who
enters the ring and sprints full-speed at his opponent as
he staggers backwards on his heels. The crowd anticipates
a huge collision and gets it; but not in the way anyone
would have imagined as Doc Holloways spins around on the
heel of his left boot and decimates Talon with a discus
clothesline across his throat. The impact sends Talon
backflipping over onto his stomach and the force expended
causes Holloway to collapse upon his chest leaving both
competitors face down in the middle of the ring right
next to each other; facing their respective corners. For
the first time in the night the entire mass of fans
packed inside the sold-out Centurylink Center can be seen
standing on their feet, re-energized by the comeback the
Tag Team Champion has been mounting. Using his forearms
Doc Holloways drags his two-hundred forty six pound body
towards his corner, where The Jackrabbit is literally
about to jump out of his skin. At first the Challenger
seems ready to head back to Adam Wilson but when he
notices the progress Doc Holloway is making to his own
corner he turns around and latches onto his right leg,
digging deep to prevent the tag. It works and stops Doc
exactly where he lays and changes his plan as he is now
intent on getting back to both feet, even though Talon
still has a firm grip on his right ankle. Facing away
from Talon, looking at his corner, Doc Holloway realizes
that he only has one shot at this and pulls himself up
onto his left foot; his right leg pulled backwards behind
him by a desperate Talon trying to prevent the tag at any
cost. Laying out Doc
Holloway not only breaks the grip of Talon, but also
makes the tag to The Jackrabbit and as he springboards
over the top rope the roof of the building nearly blows
off due to the reaction of the fans. Nick Burst - HE
FINALLY MADE THE TAG! Talon sees this
and scrambles back to his corner, tagging Adam Wilson
back in as he rolls out of the ring to the concrete floor
to avoid harm. The Jackrabbit doesn't care and runs
across the ring, engaging Adam Wilson before he can even
get inside of the ropes by stepping onto the middle rope
and butterflying both of Adam's arms behind his back. In
a show of his adrenaline The Jackrabbit deadlifts his
opponent over the top rope and falls off the middle rope
to hit an elevated double underhook suplex on Wilson that
lays him diagonally across the ring. It doesn't take but
a second for The Jackrabbit to get to his feet and rush
to the nearest corner and leaping up onto it in a single
bound, facing the crowd. He stands up tall and backflips
off the top, nailing a textbook moonsault from the top
rope across the chest of Adam Wilson and he immediately
goes for the pin. The referee is quick to get into place
and begins to count the pin. 1... 2... Wilson
kicks out. Bobby Shavonie -
OH BOY! The Jackrabbit almost ended the match with that
move, which he calls the Laughing Matter! Nick Burst - He
has a lot of pent up energy due to watching his tag team
partner get brutalized in the manner he did, and the
crowd loves it! The hot tag has
sent the standing crowd over the edge as they are
completely drawn in, watching The Jackrabbit peel Adam
Wilson up off the mat and onto his feet; as he does his
best to stand Wilson up straight. When he gets as close
as he is going to The Jackrabbit takes a step back and
whacks the face of his opponent with an open handed slap
with his right hand, followed by an even harder one with
his left. The crowd realizes this is the beginning of the
move he calls Slap Happy; but it takes a drastic turn for
the unusual as an enraged Jackrabbit continues slapping
Adam with alternating smacks to the face. Coming in two's
the number of slaps ends up being eight before the OWF
Tag Team Champion raises his arms high into the air and
swirls his index fingers on both hands in a circular
motion which gets the crowd even louder than they were
prior to this. When he goes for the big right handed
smack Adam Wilson ducks under it and the momentum that
Jackrabbit carried with him sends him off balance,
completing a full three-hundred sixty degree spin that
brings him out of striking distance of the Challenger.
Still wanting to bring the fire to his opponent The
Jackrabbit takes two huge steps forward and bends down to
drive his right shoulder into the abdomen of Adam Wilson,
tackling him down to his back with a perfectly timed
spear that the fans appreciate. Having barely broken a
sweat so far and coming off a good offensive run
Jackrabbit pops up to his feet and glances back to his
corner, watching Doc Holloway finally stand up to his
feet in a good deal of pain due to the attacks on his
right leg. Still he calls for a tag but The Jackrabbit
refuses, knowing he needs to step up to give his partner
some time to recover, and he moves off towards the fallen
Challenger. Grabbing Adam Wilson under his arms The
Jackrabbit hoists him back up to his feet, expending a
good deal of energy doing so, and rests him back-first
against the ring cables. Isolating his right arm The
Jackrabbit irish whips his opponent off the ropes before
has time to get used of it, but he doesn't release him.
Instead he pulls Wilson forward and hits a drop-toe hold
that causes Adam to land across the middle rope with his
throat. He loses his breath and remains in that prone
position giving his opponent a great idea as he bounces
off the opposite set of ropes, heading right for Adam
Wilson. Springboarding over the top rope The Jackrabbit
sits out and delivers a guillotine leg drop across the
back of Wilson's head; again causing his opponent's
throat a great deal of damage as he lands on the edge of
the apron. While the Challenger Adam Wilson rolls around
in the ring grabbing at his neck, trying to catch his
breath, one-half of the OWF Tag Team Champions stands
himself up outside of the ropes but still standing on the
apron just laying in wait for an opportunity to present
itself. It takes about fifteen seconds, during which
Jackrabbit looks to Doc to check on his condition, but
that moment finally comes when Adam Wilson, completely
disorientated, rises up to his feet completely unaware of
his opponent's whereabouts. He soon finds out when he
turns around and sees The Jackrabbit springboard up to
the top rope and lay his entire body out, driving his
feet forward looking for a missle dropkick. Using up the
last of his stamina Adam Wilson takes a step backwards
and catches The Jackrabbit in a wheelbarrow hold, keeping
him off the mat for the moment until he expends a great
deal of strength swinging the Champion upwards to land on
his feet. It all seems confusing for the fans until
Wilson leaps into the air and dropkicks The Jackrabbit
upon the back of his head, sending him crashing
chest-first into his own corner. By the time Adam Wilson
hits the mat Doc Holloway tags himself back into the
match, without Jackrabbit's permission as he stares at
his partner in disbelief. As soon as the Challenger sees
the tag he turns around and heads towards his corner,
making the tag to Talon who enters the match to oppose a
limping Doc Holloway. His first instinct is to kick his
leg forward and the toe kick connects upon Doc's stomach,
doubling him over and allowing Talon to step forward and
tuck his head between his thighs. Before Talon can even
distinguish what he has planned Doc Holloway stands
upright, holding his opponent upside down for a moment;
then executes a powerful alabama slam, sending Talon's
head snapping backwards upon the mat as his back makes
impact with the canvas. Coming alive once
again the fans show their support for Holloway as he
wastes no time in approaching his fallen opponent,
grabbing him by the arms and sitting him up. His right
leg is still bothering him considerably but Doc shrugs it
off as he gets his second wind, using it to pick Talon
upright; then lifts him to a position at his side,
holding the Challenger horizontally over the mat. Causing
a good deal of pain to himself Doc Holloway drops to his
right knee while bending his left, bringing the small of
Talon's back over his extended left thigh. Right after
hitting the backbreaker Doc places his left hand under
Talon's chin and presses his right hand downward on his
opponent's thigh; completing the set up for the
backbreaker stretch, and sets it in. OWF Official Dean
Stern gets into position to check on Talon's condition as
his body is bent backwards over his opponent's leg, and
he is kept held tight in the submission hold. Sensing
that Talon is in trouble Adam Wilson enters the ring
illegally bringing the attention of the referee away from
the submission as Wilson approaches. This time The
Jackrabbit isn't waiting around and from outside of the
ring climbs up to the top turnbuckle, leaping off to
drive both of his boots right into the face of Adam
Wilson; leveling him with a gorgeous missile dropkick
that sends Wilson sliding along the mat, and back outside
of the ring. Getting up to his feet The Jackrabbit
doesn't need to be told to get out of the ring as he
walks past his partner, who still has Talon locked up in
the backbreaker stretch. Only when Jackrabbit exits to
his place outside of the ropes does Stern return to
Talon, again asking if he wants to submit. He has been
stuck in this hold for a great deal of time and knows he
needs to get out of it by any means necessary, and his
first instinct is to swing his right hand up to bring a
closed fist upon the bridge of Doc's nose. It's a
shocking strike but it doesn't free Talon as he had
expected so he moves onto his next phase of escape, using
both of his hands to dislodge Holloway's right hand off
his legs. Once that occurs the pressure Doc Holloway has
applied to the head and upper body of Talon allows his
opponent to backflip onto his feet, where in an act of
desperation he punts Holloway straight across his face
sending both men toppling to the mat. From that moment it
becomes a race for each of them to get to their partners,
as both are in desperate need of a breather. Bobby Shavonie -
There is so much going on right now, and you can cut the
tension in the air with a knife! Nick Burst -
That's what happens when things get as personal as it has
between these four. It's not just about walking out at
Tag Champs, these two teams want to destroy and humiliate
one another. Bobby Shavonie -
And this is only the first match of the night! Doc Holloway heads
towards his corner on his stomach with his right hand
extended while Talon slides on his left side to his; just
as Adam Wilson stands himself back up on the apron's edge
after being sent to the floor by The Jackrabbit only
moments ago. Talon makes the tag to his partner and not a
second later Holloway slaps hands with his partner on the
other side of the ring; bringing Adam Wilson and The
Jackrabbit back into the fray. As they grow closer to one
another The Jackrabbit falls to his stomach forcing his
opponent to hop over him, resulting in Adam Wilson
turning so that his back hits the ropes. As he springs
back Jackrabbit pops up to his feet and eats a running
boot to the face that sends him down to his back.
Stopping his forward momentum Wilson lays out to hit a
short falling elbow drop across his opponent's sternum.
Stringing the two strikes together Adam stays on this
roll by using his right arm to trap the head and arm of
The Jackrabbit, which is solid enough of a grasp to bring
one-half of the Tag Team Champions right back up to his
feet. Unfortunately he doesn't stay standing for long as
the Challenger lifts Jackrabbit up for a uranage; but
finishes it with a backbreaker over Wilson's bent right
knee. The impact causes The Jackrabbit to yell out in
pain as Wilson pushes him down to the mat; and instantly
cinches in a crippler crossface tucking Jackrabbit's left
arm between his legs and wrenching back on his head.
Trying to keep some semblance of calm in this contest the
referee Dean Stern stays in his feet, not just keeping an
eye on the legal competitors; but their partners as well,
knowing they've all been very froggy to enter the ring
with the OWF Official's back turned. This time both Doc
Holloway and Talon stay outside of the ropes, mostly
trying to reserve their energy as they watch the action
inside of the ring just like the thousands inside of the
arena; and those watching at home. The submission is
applied very well on The Jackrabbit almost completely
preventing him from moving his body at all, as his eyes
remain wide open looking for a way out. Getting to the
nearest side of the ring is not an option so thinking off
his feet The Jackrabbit curls his left arm forward;
trying to get Adam Wilson's body off-center. It works and
Jackrabbit clasps his hands together, gaining a position
on his knees while rolling Wilson over and pinning his
shoulders to the mat. The referee dives right in and
starts the count. 1... 2... Wilson kicks his
legs to the sky and gets free of the pinning situation,
as he is forced to give up what he had left on the
submission to pull his shoulders off the mat. Flopping
towards his corner Adam reaches up and grabs onto the
ropes, picking himself up to his feet and charging
head-on at The Jackrabbit. Trying to match
his speed Jackrabbit sprints forward and the two men nail
one another with simultaneous clotheslines, leaving them
standing but a bit dazed. Trying to get back on the
offensive Adam Wilson throws a wide left hook that his
opponent ducks under, then has to dodge a short right jab
from The Jackrabbit on the rebound. Evading that strike
Adam steps in and kicks his right foot at one-half of the
OWF Tag Team Champions but it is swatted away by both
hands of The Jackrabbit. Now he tries to step forward
with his left arm coiled up, but the back elbow strike
crashes into the vertical forearms of Wilson who absorbs
the blow into his arms. Firing back at Jackrabbit with a
lifting knee strike Adam Wilson believes he has an edge
until his right leg is caught, and he is pulled off
balance by his opponent; but he has a plan and reaches
both of his hands forward, cupping The Jackrabbit around
the back of his head. The Challenger pulls his opponent's
head downward, thus releasing his leg, and again fires a
knee to the sky, aiming it for Jackrabbit's face. At the
last possible moment he pulls himself upright and
narrowly avoids the knee, which had been thrown with such
strength that Adam Wilson's body spins around about
ninety degrees; allowing The Jackrabbit to wrap both of
his arms around the abdomen of Adam, keeping him held
tightly in the reverse waist lock. Looking like it's
performed out of pure habit Adam Wilson breaks the grasp
of his opponent and spins around to engage The Jackrabbit
in a reverse waist lock, completing a flawless standing
switch. With ease he delivers a release german suplex
that coils The Jackrabbit up like an accordion on the
back of his head and neck, and the move results with both
men laying on their backs at the end of it. The catch is
that Adam Wilson is there by choice, while The Jackrabbit
wraps both of his hands around to cradle his own head in
a great deal of pain. Then, and only then, does Talon
thrust his arm over the top rope calling for a tag.
Pulling himself up Adam Wilson tags his partner into the
match and the fans let Talon hear it as he enters the
ring and lays a hard stomp onto the side of Jackrabbit's
head. Bobby Shavonie -
So now that The Jackrabbit isn't an imminent threat, he's
going after him?! Nick Burst - It's
a smart move, Bobby, you just can't knock it for what you
see on the surface. Bobby Shavonie - I
know exactly what I see, and Talon wants to get at The
Jackrabbit on his own terms. Nick Burst -
Smartest thing you've said in about six weeks, dude.
Seriously. Keep drinking or smoking, or doing whatever it
was that made those words come from your mouth. The stomp is just
the beginning as he turns around and rushes at Doc
Holloway, kicking Doc's right leg out from under him
through the middle and bottom ropes; sending him down to
the concrete floor like a sack of potatoes. Turning back
to The Jackrabbit he approaches his head and uses both
hands to grab him around his head, using it to stand the
Champion up to his feet. As Talon gets him there he
deadlifts the entire body weight of The Jackrabbit over
his head in a gorilla press slam position, holding him up
high above his head before flipping him down over onto
his back. But it doesn't stop there as Talon is right on
top of The Jackrabbit and peels his upper body from the
canvas, seating him on the mat as he wraps his arms
around his midsection. Tightening in a grasp of his
opponent Talon stands The Jackrabbit up, and again goes
back on the attack by lifting him up over his head and
delivering him back down to the canvas head-first with a
back drop suplex. The crowd is shocked as Talon rises to
his feet as if nothing is bothering him, hovering over
his fallen opponent and former tag team partner who is in
a world of hurt. There's nothing Doc Holloway can do as
he is having hard enough of a time standing himself back
up on the hard edge of the ring apron outside of the ring
in his team's corner. When he finally gets up he has a
front row seat to watch one-half of the Challengers stand
The Jackrabbit up on his wobbly feet; providing enough
support to keep him from toppling back down to the mat.
All of a sudden Talon releases his grip and allows The
Jackrabbit to collapse to his knees showing that he is
just toying with him as he backpedals to rest his back
against the nearest set of ropes. He furthers this
spectacle of playing with his food by allowing Jackrabbit
to stand back up, expending his own energy to do so, only
to rush in as soon as he gets on the balls of his feet;
dropping him with a running big boot to the face from his
right foot, and following it with an axe kick with his
left. Lifeless The Jackrabbit falls face down to the mat
and Talon doesn't budge an inch as he admires what he has
done following the execution of the move he dubbed The
End of Reason. He takes the time to walk in a full circle
around The Jackrabbit, analyzing every aspect of this
sight before coming to a stop and exhaling deeply. Bobby Shavonie -
Just go for the pin! Why does he have to be so creepy all
the time?! Nick Burst -
That's his deal, man. I'm not his fucking secretary, I
don't know why he's like this. But he gets some sick
enjoyment out of it. Talon seems
finished with his former partner but as he heads off to
his corner The Jackrabbit reaches out and grabs his right
foot, keeping him where he stands. He turns around, looks
down at The Jackrabbit; then out of nowhere gets
absolutely ravished by a running big boot from Doc
Holloway directed right to his face. The pain in Doc's
right leg is obviously apparent and right after saving
his partner, to huge cheers and roars from the crowd, he
limps back to his corner motioning that he wants to be
tagged into the match. Nick Burst - What
a bit of teamwork there! Bobby Shavonie -
Should Jackrabbit make the tag? He's pretty bad off from
that assault by Talon, but Doc's right leg is just about
failing him! Nick Burst - I
think it's the only option he has if he wants to remain a
Champion here in the OWF! Crawling to the
ropes The Jackrabbit first seems reluctant to make the
tag, since Talon is still the legal man in this match and
he wants to extract his revenge. But as he sees Talon
desperately crawling on his stomach back to his corner he
realizes that is not an option; so instead he grabs onto
the ropes and starts pulling himself up onto his feet,
trying to shrug off all the damage he has endured.
Breathing deeply he watches Talon get closer and closer
to tagging in Adam Wilson and only then does he glance
back to Doc Holloway, who is more than mentally prepared
to take over from here; yet The Jackrabbit remains frozen
on the ropes. Eventually Talon makes the tag and Adam
Wilson re-enters the match as the legal man, running with
whatever speed he has left right at The Jackrabbit who
gets his feet up; connecting with the chest of Adam
Wilson as The Jackrabbit turns and tags Doc into the
match. Adam Wilson is bent over as a result of the boots
and Doc Holloway steps in, tucking his head between his
legs. He swings him up into a seated position on his
shoulders, and at the apex of the powerbomb attempt The
Jackrabbit jumps up into the air; latching himself around
the back of Wilson, in a crucifix hold. As Doc throws
Adam down with the powerbomb Jackrabbit hits the crucifix
driver, and keeps Wilson pinned to the mat. Nick Burst - Hey,
I recognize that move! That's the Fusion Bomb; the move
Talon and The Jackrabbit used to use as a tag team
finisher! Bobby Shavonie -
What a devastating move! This one could be over. Nick Burst - Not
just a great move, but it also sent a strong message! Holloway takes
over, as the legal man, and hooks both of Wilson's legs
into a jackknife pin while The Jackrabbit stands up
facing the Challenger's corner; waiting to see if Talon
is coming in as the count is made. 1... 2... 3! Nick Burst - And
it got them the win! Missy Janson - The
winners of this match... AND STILL OWF TAG TEAM
CHAMPIOOOOOONS... DOOOOOC HOOOOLLOWAY AND THE
JAAAAAACKRABBIT! As soon as their
names are announced The Jackrabbit and Doc Holloway meet
up in the center of the ring, while Talon sneaks in to
pull Adam Wilson to the outside in defeat. Bobby Shavonie -
What a match, and something tells me this isn't over
because of the fact that Talon didn't go after The
Jackrabbit until he was down and out. Nick Burst - I
tend to agree with you. The Jackrabbit went after him
early, but Talon got the better of him and even with the
win that's something that has to bother him. Bobby Shavonie -
Can't bother these two too much, as they're proving
themselves to be a formidable force here! Nick Burst - It's
a huge step for the Tag Team Champions no matter how the
match went. They were challenged and brought to their
limits by two great competitors, but still manage to hold
onto the belts. Bobby Shavonie -
The tag team division is taking off lately, Nick, and
what a great way to showcase it in our opening bout of
the evening! From outside Missy
Janson hands the Tag Titles to OWF Referee Dean Stern,
and he awards them to Doc and Jackrabbit; prior to
raising their hands in victory in the center of the ring,
much to the pleasure of the fans who cheer their win. Nick Burst - The
crowd is more than warmed up now, thanks to those four.
All of them are such a great addition to the OWF. Bobby Shavonie -
Very true, Nick.
