The Jackrabbit
VS. Nikita
In A: Singles Match
For The: N/A
On: 26 June 2016, NLW Rebirth #3

The screen goes black and the words I AM A SLAVE AND I AM A MASTER appear in white text shaking with static. The music hits, plum and pink flood lights illuminate the stage and runway.

She seems dressed in all the rings of past fatalities. So fragile yet so devious

Nikita walks down the ramp, acknowledging nothing just in a deep focus.

Im a slave, and I am a master No restraints and, unchecked collectors.

I exist through my need, to self-oblige

She is something in me, that I despise

She grabs the bottom rope and leaps up to the ring edge with both feet before slipping through the ropes and bouncing from foot to foot waiting for the match to begin.

Zach King: The following match is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first… from Toronto, Canada… Weighing in at 135 pounds… NIKITA!

Will Prydor: Nikita has her work cut out for her tonight, facing the thus far undefeated Jackrabbit in singles competition, a Jackrabbit who has been far more focused and dangerous than weve ever seen him in the past.

Jake Steel: Its called seeing the light Will, while I dont agree on everything hes done since he has come back seeing some killer instinct out of a guy like him is a welcome change from before.

The arena lights dim and the sound of metal chains scraping a concrete floor can be heard across the sound system. They are broken up by a shrill laughter around the arena. As smoke fills the entrance-ramp area, Out Of My Head by Puddle of Mudd kicks in and Jackrabbit appears at the top of the ramp.

What is wrong with all my friends

I know that I am unlike them

Just another situation

Dont hold me back

I dont look up to them

Steel chains drape across his shoulders and behind him on the ground as Jackrabbit slowly makes his way to the ring.

Climbing under the bottom rope, he suddenly sprints to the turnbuckle and climbs it, staring out over the audience with a stony look on his face and his chains clutched to his chest.

No ones ever listening

The lines are crossed somewhere between

My head is spinning like a top

I dont not know when this shit is going to stop

Jackrabbit suddenly breaks into a manic smile before stamping back to the middle of the ring. The referee tries to coerce the chains from him, but he pulls back on them, giving the referee a wild-eyed look before finally relinquishing them with a shrill laugh. The lights come back up as Jackrabbit takes his place in the corner, as his music fades and the official discards the chains to the outside.

Zach King: And her opponent… From Parts Unknown… Weighing in at 235 pounds… THE JACKRABBIT!

Will Prydor: This will be a very interesting clash of styles, with the unorthodox offense of The Jackrabbit matching up against the martial arts-inspired offense of Nikita.

Jake Steel: Well she better remember this isnt the octagon, its a ring.

Will Prydor: Plenty of MMA fights take place in rings Jake.

Jake Steel: Pff, nothing good. I bet you couldnt even name some.

Will Prydor: Theres not enough time in our broadcast for me to go into that Jake.

The bell rings, and the two competitors begin to circle the ring, staring down their opponent. Jackrabbit holds out his hands, looking to get Nikita to engage him in a test of strength. Surprisingly Nikita decides to oblige him in this, reaching out and interlocking her fingers with JRs. The seemingly obvious result takes place, with Jackrabbit pushing forward with all his might, pushing Nikitas arms down. Nikita, however, has a different plan in mind and falls backwards, landing flat on the mat and bringing up her legs into JRs midsection and flipping the larger man up and over! Jackrabbit immediately looks frustrated, popping back to his feet as Nikita does likewise, charging her. Nikita uses JRs momentum against him, however, reaching out and taking him down with an arm drag. The Unorthodox One slams his fist into the mat and tries again, with the same result.

Will Prydor: Some quick moves there put Nikita on the offensive to kick things off. It doesnt look like The Jackrabbit was expecting that at all.

Jake Steel: Gee, you think so Will? He was expecting a fight, and shes… shes…

Will Prydor: Shes what Jake?

Jake Steel: *Sighs* Wrestling.

The Jackrabbit gets back to a vertical base, and Nikita cuts him off with a knee to the midsection, wanting to continue applying pressure to her larger foe before slapping a headlock on him. She wrenches her grip, trying to force JR back to his knees, but he is able to push her back into the ropes, catching and knocking her down flat with a shoulder block. Once she gets up Jackrabbit is ready for her, peppering her with a few quick jabs to keep her off balance before grabbing her hair and pulling her in, delivering a snap neckbreaker! He quickly hooks her leg:

1…

2…

No, kickout by Nikita!

Will Prydor: Pin attempt by The Jackrabbit comes up short there, although this early in the match I dont think he was going to have much luck regardless.

Jake Steel: If I were her I just wouldve let him pin me.

Will Prydor: And why is that Jake?

Jake Steel: Less time spent having that weirdo flopping on top of me.

The Jackrabbit grabs Nikitas wrist, pulling her up and applying a hammerlock, stepping behind her. Nikita winces in pain from the hold, but quickly shows her flexibility by twisting her body and swinging back, catching JR in the side of the neck with a knife-edge chop! Jackrabbit releases the hold, and Nikita delivers another chop, the sound echoing in the arena as her hand connects with his chest. He steps back a bit, but the space only allows her to switch up her attack, delivering a boot to his gut then applying a front facelock. Jackrabbit tries to push himself free of the hold but Nikita pulls him down to the mat, hooking his leg and rolling him up for an inside cradle:

1…

2…

No, The Jackrabbit powers free of her grip! Clearly frustrated by the fact that Nikita is providing more of a fight than he had anticipated the Unorthodox One rolls underneath the bottom rope and to the floor, kicking the barricade in anger.

Will Prydor: Looks like Jackrabbit is beside himself with how things have gone so far. Im not sure what he expected from a former world champion like Nikita.

Jake Steel: For her to be weirded out and be easy prey?

Will Prydor: …She used to compete in Sin Wrestling Jake.

Jake Steel: Oh right, she likes weird. Never mind.

Nikita follows Jackrabbit, stepping onto the apron and taking a running start, diving at him and catching him between the shoulders with a double axe handle. JR stumbles to the ground, and Nikita starts to put the boots to him as the referee begins his count inside of the ring. 1! Nikita goes to grab JR by the hair, but as she does The Jackrabbit reaches out, grabbing her by the belt and yanking her off-balance, pulling her face-first into the barricade! 2! The crowd boos as JR stands up, giving Nikita a boot to the ribs before grabbing the woman by her own hair and yanking her hair up. 3! His look of frustration changing to one of sadistic glee, the Unorthodox One licks the index finger on his free hand and jams it into Nikitas ear, the crowd booing in disgust at the display.

Jake Steel: Ugh, I didnt need to see that!

Will Prydor: Agreed.

Jake Steel: No, thats not how this works. We cant agree. I showed disgust, so you have to say you want to see more.

Will Prydor: Not going to happen Jake.

4! JR pulls Nikita to her feet rolling her back into the ring before sliding in after her to end the count. He hooks both of her arms, lifting his smaller opponent up for a double underhook suplex. Nikita crashes down to the mat, and Jackrabbit decides that he needs to continue the assault, pulling her up and whipping her into the corner. He grabs her hair again, smashing her face first into the turnbuckle before backing up and charging, leaping up and delivering a body avalanche, sandwiching her into the corner. Nikita stumbles forward and falls to the mat. The Jackrabbit then climbs up to the top turnbuckle, laughing loudly as he flips back to deliver a high-angle moonsault… but no one is home as Nikita manages to roll out of the way! JR crashes down hard, giving Nikita a moment of respite.

Will Prydor: Painful landing by The Jackrabbit there. This is the perfect opportunity for Nikita to get back in this.

The referee checks both competitors as Nikita pulls herself to her feet, charging forward and delivering a knee to the side of JRs head as he gets onto his hands and knees, putting him back to the mat. Rather than immediately capitalize, however, she rolls out of the ring, kneeling down and reaching under the ring apron. She fishes around for a moment before she pulls out a bucket and re-enters the ring, holding it up. She flashes a smile to the crowd before she delivers a boot to Jackrabbits head to keep him from getting up as she pours the contents of the bucket onto him… eggs?

Will Prydor: Well this is an unexpected turn of events. I know that in her career in the past Nikita has used eggs to embarrass opponents before, but I dont know the wisdom of doing so again a man like The Jackrabbit… Going to say something Jake?

Jake Steel: Not until you do your job and disagree with me about the wet willie.

Will Prydor: You have a better shot scoring with a Kardashian.

Jake Steel: In that case, call me Kendall!

The crowd laughs as The Jackrabbit stands up, several eggs now broken in the ring and on his back. He stares at Nikita, absolutely livid as she gives him a finger wave. She attempts to hit him with the metal pail but JR blocks it and spins, leveling her with a discus clothesline. Wiping some egg from himself, The Jackrabbit grabs Nikita by the throat and pulls her up and delivers a headbutt to daze his smaller opponent. He then sets her up with a standing headscissor, wrapping his arms around her waist and delivering a piledriver! He hooks the leg:

1…

2…

No, Nikita manages to get her shoulder up!

Will Prydor: It looks as though I was right in my assumption as to how the egg thing would turn out.

Jake Steel: Youd think hed like eggs though.

Will Prydor: …Why is that Jake?

Jake Steel: …What, he doesnt hand them out at Easter?

The Unorthodox One picks up one of the unbroken eggs, tossing it onto Nikita before grabbing her by the hair and pulling her to her feet, lifting her up and delivering a body slam. He then drops an elbow across Nikitas sternum and attempts another pin:

1…

2…

No, Nikita somehow kicks out! JR stands, pulling Nikita up and setting her up with another standing headscissors, trying to set her up for a tigerbomb. When he lifts her up, however, she flips over his head, grabbing his legs and pulling him down with a sunset flip… right onto the pile of smashed eggs. She holds on for a pin:

1…

2…

No, JR kicks out!

Will Prydor: Excellent counter by Nikita almost catches JR there.

Jake Steel: Ugh, this match just keeps getting messier by the second. I dont envy the janitor.

Will Prydor: I dont envy you either.

Jake Steel: I am not the janitor!

Both competitors get to their feet, and The Jackrabbit charges Nikita. Nikita still has some life in her, however, catching his arm and using his momentum against him to apply a cross arm breaker! JR immediately yells out in pain as Nikita tries to lock in the arm bar submission that has won her many matches over her career. The referee goes to check on The Jackrabbit, who shakes his head no the moment the referee asks if he submits, instead pushing himself up and grabbing Nikitas pants with his free hand. He pulls the woman off of the mat, lifting her into the air and slamming her down for a modified powerbomb! The force of the blow caused Nikita to release the hold, and JR immediately pulls his arm back, flexing it a bit before picking Nikita up, lifting her up and delivering The Last Laugh! Nikita is motionless in the center of the ring as The Jackrabbit drapes an arm across her:

1…

2…

3!

Zach King: Here is your winner… THE JACKRABBIT!

Will Prydor: Hard fought match by Nikita, and a rather… unique one, but it wasnt enough to get past the white hot Jackrabbit.

Jake Steel: At the very least she made him leave with some egg on his face.

Will Prydor: Definitely.

After a few moments Nikita starts to stir, the crowd clapping for the effort. She manages a smile, standing up and heading to the back with the fans cheering her.

Will Prydor: Something tells me weve seen the last of Nikita for a while.

Jake Steel: How would you know?

Will Prydor: Just a hunch, Jake.
