Missy Janson - Thank you for joining us...
and without further adue... it is time for the first
match of the night, which is scheduled for a one-fall
with no time limit... Again she needs to hesitate, this time to
regain her own wind, then promptly moves on. Missy Janson - Introducing first... from
Parts Unknown... Mikey "The Shark" Austin! A generic rock song hits the PA and Mikey
Austin comes out from the back with a light applause from
the crowd. He storms down the ramp in a hurry to get down
to the ring, which is his entire focus behind his masked
face. Nick Burst - This guy could do big
things... but I think he's in the wrong place at the
wrong time tonight. Bobby Shavonie - I tend to agree with you. Nick Burst - The Jackrabbit hasn't been the
same guy we've seen in weeks past. He has emotions
running wild. Will Austin be able to keep up with him? I
don't know, but I know he's going to try. Bobby Shavonie - That's one thing you can
count on for sure; when Mikey Austin gets into the ring,
he gives it his all. Nick Burst - And tonight, it may just not
be enough... Mikey sides into the ring as soon as he
gets to ringside, and heads to his corner as his music
fades away. The production team is quick to head to a
shot back on the outside of the ring, encapsulating Missy
Janson as she continues with her introductions. Missy Janson - And his opponent... from
Parts Unknown... The Jackrabbit! The arena lights
dim, and hysterical laughter sounds through the arena. A
series of rabbits appear on the big screen, their eyes a
crimson red. "Out Of My Head" by Puddle Of Mudd
begins to play, as smoke fills the entrance-ramp and blue
strobe lights scan the arena. Onto the ramp steps The
Jackrabbit. He is wearing one of his trademark T-Shirts,
and his plaid, wrestling shorts. Nick Burst - After
last week, The Jackrabbit is more than okay in my book.
He helped fend off an attack on Doc Holloway, his former
partner, by EJ Slayer, Talon and Adam Wilson. Bobby Shavonie -
But they are outnumbered by one man, and tonight The
Jackrabbit is looking to get back on track. He came in
hot, but now he has kind of leveled off. Nick Burst - That
ends tonight, that's why I doubt Mikey Austin's chances
so much. The Jackrabbit didn't get his hands on Slayer,
Talon or Wilson last week; and we've seen a different
side of him inside of that ring lately. He's going to
take it out on Mikey. Bobby Shavonie - I
fully expect that as well, but at the same time he needs
to remember he's fighting Austin and not those three men
you mentioned; otherwise we could be in store for a huge
upset. Nick Burst -
That's very true as well. He can't lose grasp on the task
at hand, and nor can he worry if Talon, Slayer and Wilson
are going to get involved tonight. Bobby Shavonie - I
didn't even think about that... Nick Burst -
Hopefully Jackrabbit didn't, either. The Jackrabbit
begins to walk down the ramp as the music picks up, and
he then runs and slides into the ring as blue strobe
lights scan the arena. He climbs the nearest turnbuckle,
and laughs outloud to himself, raising both arms and
wriggling the index fingers on each as the fans cheer
him. The Jackrabbit then jumps back down, and paces the
ring, looking entirely as though he has no idea where he
is as he heads to his corner; his music quickly fading
out. Glancing at each
corner OWF Official Calvin Mills takes note of the
competitors' position, and signals outside of the ring to
the time keepers for the match to start. (Ding, Ding,
Ding...) Trying to get off on the right foot Mikey
Austin charges across the ring and leaps into the air,
looking for a cross body block but ends up splashing the
corner when The Jackrabbit dashes out of the way.
Spinning himself around The Jackrabbit wails away on
Austin's head with repeated legal strikes to the face
with his right hand, before bending down and grabbing him
by the right wrist. Irish whipping Mikey out of the
corner The Jackrabbit stops himself and watches his
opponent turn and slam back-first into the opposite
corner, and only then does he come sprinting towards him.
Leaping high into the air The Jackrabbit hits a corner
splash, lands on his feet and immediately cradles the
head of his opponent to pull Mikey Austin into a front
face lock. Transitioning that hold into the set up for a
suplex takes under a second, and the snap suplex The
Jackrabbit delivers following it is nearly as brief; but
levels a greal deal of pain to Austin's back, allowing JR
to stand up to his feet with the fans in firm support of
his actions. Wasting no time he approaches the head of
his opponent and with both arms reaches downward, only to
be kicked upon the crown of his head by Mikey Austin's
right foot. The shot doesn't do much damage but it stuns
The Jackrabbit enough that he backs off, giving Austin
room enough to roll up to a crouched position. The moment
he does so he notices The Jackrabbit has already
recovered from the kick and is approaching fast, so
pulling a move out of thin air Mikey Austin leaps as high
as he can from this crouch and delivers both feet into
JR's face; sending him flat to his back. Some members of
the crowd pay their respects to Austin's ability as they
watch him rush to his feet, scrambling to take hold of
Jackrabbit's head. Leading him up Mikey resorts to a
lifting knee to the face to keep his opponent stunned,
then takes hold of his head and spins around so they are
back-to-back preparing for a falling neckbreaker.
Unfortunately for Austin he telegraphed the move and it
affords The Jackrabbit the chance to reverse, spinning
around to clutch Mikey in a front face lock. There is no
give in Austin as he digs his feet into the mat and
rushes JR backwards against the ropes and keeps him
pinned there, bringing in the referee to separate the two
men. The Jackrabbit holds his arms up above his head
showing no intent to disrupt the clean break but Mikey
Austin is slow to step away from his opponent, only
pulling away his shoulder and standing upright to set
himself up for a back elbow attempt. His opponent sees it
coming and ducks under it, quickly turning around to hit
an open handed slap with his right hand to Austin's face.
Not a second later he delivers a five-fingered smack with
his left hand, then goes into the theatrics as he spins
himself in a circle. As he winds up for the third slap to
complete Slap Happy Mikey Austin ducks out of the ring,
heading to a safe ground at ringside as JR catches
himself up; and is eventually backed to the middle of the
ring so OWF Official Calvin Mills can make his count. Nick Burst - Smart move by Austin. He needs
a lot more smart moves to win, though, as The Jackrabbit
is a top level talent. Bobby Shavonie - I absolutely agree. Mikey
Austin has been good so far in this run, but The
Jackrabbit has more to boast about. Mikey Austin doesn't return to the ring,
instead taking a slow walk around the corner which starts
Mills on his count. 1... 2... 3... Still showing no intention of entering the
ring Mikey Austin starts to draw some boo's on the
outside but pays the crowd no attention. The Jackrabbit
hangs back, using this opportunity to recover as much as
possible. 4... 5... Austin finally gets up to a kneeling
position on the ring apron, and ducks himself back into
the ring through the middle and top ropes before the
count gets too deep and the two men square up to one
another. Again, like in the start of the match, Mikey
takes off looking to take Jackrabbit off-guard but as he
approaches he is caught and spun around so that he is
sent back-first into the ring ropes. Upon his return he
runs right into a lifting knee from The Jackrabbit, as he
steps in and underhooks both of Austin's arms behind his
back. Setting him up for a double-underhook suplex
Jackrabbit plants his feet into the mat, only for Mikey
to spin out of the hold and crack JR with a standing
clothesline across the chest. This is just the first of a
string of strikes, the next of which is a toe kick to the
sternum that doubles Jackrabbit over. A downward elbow to
the back of Jackrabbit's skull that drops him down to his
knees is the third, and a sharp shin kick across the
chest is the fourth, and final, strike from Austin. His
adrenaline has worn out and he has to back off to the
ropes, giving The Jackrabbit plenty of time to compose
himself after that assault. Bobby Shavonie - Would you look at that!
Mikey Austin is keeping this interesting! Nick Burst - I don't know if The Jackrabbit
underestimated him, or if Austin is just bringing it.
Regardless, if JR isn't careful Austin could walk out of
this match with his hand raised in victory. Bobby Shavonie - I'm sure The Jackrabbit
has a lot on his mind, considering what went on last
week. Maybe that's a factor. Nick Burst - If so, and he's lost the
killer instinct he just seemed to gain, it's a lost
opportunity; and it could result in a lost match tonight. As soon as The Jackrabbit starts to gain
the strength to stand himself up Mikey Austin pushes
himself off the ropes and grabs JR in a collar and elbow
tie up. Having none of this The Jackrabbit quickly
squirms out of it and doubles back around behind Mikey
Austin, cinching his arms around his body to complete the
reverse waist lock. He suffers two straight back elbows
to the face from Austin which causes his arms to go limp,
and gives Mikey an opportunity with a majority of the
ring to work with. Reaching backwards he grabs The
Jackrabbit into a side headlock and runs him forward,
obviously setting for a bulldog. Before Austin can sit
out his opponent places both of his hands on the small of
Mikey's back and shoves him forward, breaking free of the
headlock while also sending Mikey Austin chest-first into
the ropes. He stumbles backwards right into the clutches
of The Jackrabbit, who sets Austin up in a standing
full-nelson submission. What his intentions are, we will
never know as Mikey dips down and worms his arms out of
the clutches of The Jackrabbit; some how wiggling into a
position for a back drop suplex set up. Sensing what
could happen The Jackrabbit uses his free left hand to
fire a closed fist into Mikey's masked face, and
side-steps him to round behind his body. Once there he
steps forward and locks Mikey Austin in an abdominal
stretch submission, and the referee comes into check on
Austin as he is held in this hold. The Jackrabbit shows
he never intended to keep this move held on long as he
tucks Mikey Austin's left arm between his own legs and
transitions the abdominal stretch into a pumphandle hold.
Swinging Mikey's body up over his shoulder The Jackrabbit
sits out and drives Austin's head straight down into the
mat; hitting The Standing Joke on him in the dead center
of the ring. Nick Burst - WHOA! That came out of
no-fucking-where! Bobby Shavonie - I nearly defacated in my
trousers! Nick Burst - Too much information, Bobby... The Jackrabbit positions his opponent
accordingly and hooks both of his legs, pinning his
shoulders to the mat as the referee slides in to make the
count. 1... 2... 3! Missy Janson - The
winner of this match... The Jackrabbit! Getting up to his
knee, not that worn down from the rather short match, The
Jackrabbit stands up to his feet with the fans cheering
him on. Bobby Shavonie -
Good win for The Jackrabbit... Nick Burst -
Another good win, you mean. This guy has quietly racked
up six OWF Contendership Points by winning matches like
that. Bobby Shavonie - I
agree. He's one of the best we have... Nick Burst - And
Mikey Austin may not be as good as Jackrabbit, but he
didn't make it easy for him. In fact, I'd say The
Jackrabbit struggled a bit to get this victory. The referee steps
in and holds JR's hand high above his head. Bobby Shavonie - I
tend to agree. Mikey Austin fought him hard, but in the
end JR earned this wi-- "Shout at the
Devil" hits, and a mixture of boos and cheers, with
the boo's prevailing, fills the area as EJ Slayer steps
out from the back, a microphone in hand as he approaches
the ring. Nick Burst - Get
the fuck out of there Jackrabbit, he's just a
distraction... his goons are probably in the crowd! The Jackrabbit
pulls his arm away from the referee and watches him,
keeping on guard as Slayer climbs onto the apron and
enters the ring. EJ Slayer - The
Jackrabbit. You just couldn't help yourself, could you?
Your old "friend" was on trouble and you had to
interject yourself into my business. How dare you. Slayer is seething
as he stares down The Jackrabbit, who remains on guard in
case one of Slayer's allies comes to the ring. EJ Slayer - You
know, you are no better than the rest of the hollow
shells that call themselves wrestlers here. At least they
have the excuse of being corrupted by this place, you
have been the saddest joke in wrestling for over a
decade, kept relevant because Talon found the compassion
in his heart to do so. Look at you without him, you're
reduced to wrestling the likes of Mikey Austin. Fans boo loudly at
this, and JR makes a face, his own displeasure clear as
day. EJ Slayer - Tell
me JR, do you think anyone in the back there respects
you? Do you think Chase Johnson wants to throw his
marketing behind you? Do you think anyone wants to see
the OWF World Heavyweight Championship around your waist? The Jackrabbit
glances downwards, silent as he shakes his head, a look
of disappointment forming in his features. EJ Slayer -
Exactly. You need to realize that you don't belong here
JR. You don't belong among the scumbag glory hounds who
make everything about them like Kid Dynamo. You don't
belong among the sick pieces of garbage that want to hurt
people like Eva de la Cruz or Eclipse. You certainly
don't belong among the righteous like Adam Wilson or
Talon. You are a child pretending to be a man Jackrabbit. The boos of the
fans increase in volume as Slayer continues to berate The
Jackrabbit, but that only seems to egg him on. At this
point Jackrabbit has backed himself into a corner,
slumping down in it, doing nothing but continuing to
listen as Slayer unloads on him verbally. EJ Slayer - Once
upon a time you may have had a future in this business,
but now you are a pathetic, worthless husk of a man that
wants to be a wrestler when he grows up. I have nothing
but pity for you, Jackrabbit. You stand for nothing.
Without men like Talon and Doc Holloway you have
accomplished nothing. If you were to retire tomorrow it
would mean nothing. I don't think President Johnson even
knows what your name is. Do the world a favor,
Jackrabbit, find yourself something better to do with
your life. Stop being the punchline to every bad joke
about this business. With that, EJ
Slayer drops his microphone as The Jackrabbit starts to
rock back and forth in the corner. He spits in disgust
before exiting the ring, trash being thrown at him as
several ring staff go to check on JR. He pushes them away
and looks to make his own exit as well. Nick Burst - I'm
not enjoying EJ Slayer lately. All talk. No action. Bobby Shavonie -
What do you mean no action? Last week he orchestrated an
attack on Doc Holloway... Nick Burst - Big
whoop. He got a bump on his head and he's unable to
compete until after the Pay Per View. Nudge me when he
lets his actions inside of the ring do the speaking for
him. Bobby Shavonie -
You aren't at all worried by his words? Or that he's
targetting the top level talent? Nick Burst - This
is the modus operandi of anyone who comes in trying to
take the OWF down. It doesn't worry me one bit.
