Missy Janson - Without further
hesitation... IT IS TIME FOR THE 2013 OWF CHRISTMAS TREE
MATCH! Even with the fans as loud as they were
just seconds ago, the roof of the KeyArena nearly blows
off with the reception this announcement receives. Nick Burst - OW! Fuck, I think blew an
eardrum there! Bobby Shavonie - This crowd is rabid! We
have them pumped for a two match card; when other
promotions book ten matches, and not one of them comes
close to the anticipation we have tonight. Nick Burst - I'm sorry, what? Either I'm
deaf or I need a new headset... Missy Janson - As you can see, a
twenty-five foot tree decorated for Christmas has been
situated inside of the OWF ring. At the height of fifteen
feet you'll notice a steel platform capable of supporting
the weight of every member of the match at once; if
necessary. Nick Burst - Okay, update, I'm not deaf.
Thankfully you will all get to deal with me for the
entire show! The crowd quiets themselves down even more
now, with the casual fans trying to catch up on all the
rules; while the die-hards are just waiting for the bell
to ring. Missy Janson - Atop the tree is a gold
star. All fifteen competitors will start the match at
ringside and when the bell rings, it is a race to the
top. Whomever removes the star from the top of the
Christmas tree will win the match; and thus receive a
shot at the OWF World Heavyweight Championship at OWF
Clash of Champions on January 26th, 2014! Another huge pop occurs but this one
doesn't last as long as the others prior to it. The crowd
knows what is at stake, and Missy Janson raises her voice
to start her introductions. Missy Janson - Now, it's time to introduce
the entrants to the match! Starting off... from
Tombstone, Arizona... he is one-half of the current OWF
Tag Team Champions... Doc Holloway! No music plays, but Doc Holloway parts the
curtains and walks out onto the stage; receiving a huge
ovation from the fans. He walks down the ramp, heads all
the way around the ring to take up a position in front of
the commentary table. Bobby Shavonie - We've seen a lot of great
things from Doc Holloway since he joined the OWF. Nick Burst - You're right, and winning the
Christmas Tree Match would just be another notch to carve
on his belt; and he's more than capable of doing so. Bobby Shavonie - I recongize that as fact,
if his fourteen opponents don't they're in for a world of
hurt tonight. With Doc standing ready, looking up the
tree Missy continues. Missy Janson - Out to the ring next... from
Brooklyn, New York... Lorenzo Demarco! The trend of no music continues and seems
to be a running theme to get the men into position as
fast as possible, just like last year. Showing himself to
the crowd Lorenzo Demarco is met with a flurry of boos,
still with the candy cane from before in his mouth, and
jeers as he struts down the aisle; antagonizing the fans
along the way. Nick Burst - And if you give Doc a shot,
you also have to look twice at Lorenzo Demarco. He may be
coming off a loss to The Jackrabbit, but he's still a
threat no matter what. Bobby Shavonie - Of course he is, if only
because we know that Lorenzo is willing to do anything to
win; and that physically, he's an imposing individual. Reaching the ring Demarco heads to his
right, taking up a spot on the side of the ring adjacent
to Holloway's left side. Bobby Shavonie - I don't think we will see
many guys siding up with one another tonight, as we're
already witnessing a separation of talent. Missy Janson - The third entrant... from
Parts Unknown... The Jackrabbit! The cameras cut to the stage where The
Jackrabbit walks out with no bounce in his step, ignoring
the cheering fans with his eyes set up to the top of the
Christmas tree staring at the gold star as he cautiously
walks down the ramp towards the ring. Nick Burst - Good. Bobby Shavonie - What do you mean
"good"? When he reaches the bottom of the ramp he
takes the same path Doc took and lines up next to him
maybe a few feet away, but doesn't say a single word or
even look at Holloway. Nick Burst - What I mean by good is, it's
good that The Jackrabbit is approaching this match just
like he did for the one against Lorenzo Demarco at the
last show. It's the only fucking thing that's going to
get him over his fear of heights and give him a chance to
climb to the top of that tree. Bobby Shavonie - Wow, I completely forgot
that JR is acrophobic. Great call back there, Nick! Nick Burst - Hey, I didn't say he hated gay
people I said he's afraid of heights! Bobby Shavonie - Ugh. Missy Janson - Our fourth competitor...
from Parts Unknown... he is one-half of the current OWF
Tag Team Champions... Talon! Passing through the curtains and walking
out onto the stage Talon makes a beeline for the ring,
and of course on his way down exchanges stares with both
Jackrabbit and Holloway from across the ring. Nick Burst - Now see, if those three were
smart they'd put all their bullshit behind them; and work
together to get one of them a shot at Clash of Champions. Bobby Shavonie - By the way they're looking
at each other I don't think Talon is going to be welcomed
on their side of the ring. Nick Burst - And that's fine. Talon is his
own man and he's a guy, just like we've said about the
three men before him, who has come into the OWF on a
fucking hot streak; making himself a major threat
tonight, with or without help. He's slow to reach ringside and it's shown
because as he does, Missy is already preparing to get the
next entrant out here; as the cameras follow Talon as he
stands outside of the ring across from Lorenzo, with JR
and Doc to his left. Missy Janson - Welcoming to the ring now...
from Brantford, Ontario, Canada... Nicholas Perry! The fans explode into cheers as they look
to the entrance way to catch Nicholas Perry running out
from the back, his eyes set on the ring. He stops midway
down the ramp and he looks around at his opponents, then
at the huge evergreen tree in front of him. Nick Burst - This kid has heart, and
passion for this business; all he needed was a shot, and
he has it tonight. Bobby Shavonie - And thankfully Eclipse,
Greg Jackson and Jesse Williams will be there to protect
him. Nick Burst - That's the biggest load of
shit I've ever heard. Nick doesn't need protecting. On
OWFWrestling.com he received over ten percent of the
total votes. The leader is barely over fifteen percent.
Everyone knows he's got a great shot at winning the 2013
Christmas Tree Match, now it's just up to him to not fuck
it up. Slowly heading down to the ring he stops
and doesn't budge another inch, being the first to
bravely take up the side of the ring nearest to the
stage. Missy Janson - Out next... from Los
Angeles, California... Eva De La Cruz! Without the usual pageantry that comes with
an Eva De La Cruz entrance, she walks out alone; not
walking on rose petals. Instead it looks like she is
walking on eggshells, trying to take in all of her
surroundings while continuing to move down towards the
rest of the field. Bobby Shavonie - I've said it once, I'll
say it again. Eva De La Cruz has surprised a lot of
people during her time here, and I wouldn't be shocked if
she pulled out a win tonight. Nick Burst - It wouldn't be the craziest
thing to happen, but she is definitely an underdog; but
that's the role she has relished in order to gain the
success she has had in the OWF. Bobby Shavonie - That's exactly my point.
Just when you count Eva out, she comes right back even
stronger. She has done it before on multiple occasions,
and tonight could be another date to remember her by. Nick Burst - And that's exactly why she is
in this match, and why the talent is so deep. Anyone
announced so far is capable of a win. Moving past Nicholas she heads to the same
side of the ring as Lorenzo Demarco, but stays a good
five feet away from him as she faces the ring. Missy Janson - Making their way to the
ring... from Anchorage, Alaska... Eclipse! Nick Burst - And as far as chances of
winning goes, you can continue that onto Eclipse now
because she is possibly the most dangerous individual in
this match. The crowd is very receptive for Eclipse,
but it's no shock to them as she walks out onto the stage
and completely ignores them. None of the fans influence
her and Eclipse's eyes are set not on the tree, or the
ring; but instead those around it. Bobby Shavonie - Eclipse is a very violent
individual, but when she was in the midst of her OWF
Championship run she seemed to turn over a new leaf. Nick Burst - Yeah she no longer wanted to
destroy her opponents, just because she could. The fans
cheered her for it, and never forgot about that. Bobby Shavonie - Only problem is, she's now
put into a situation where violence is encouraged. It's
like offering a beer to an alcoholic, almost. It's a
slippery slope for her if that's the case. It's not too difficult for her to choose a
side as she ends up next to Nicholas Perry at the bottom
of the ramp, who she shares a brief glance with as Missy
continues with the names left to enter. Missy Janson - Following her... from
Damnation, U.S.A.... he is the current OWF Network
Champion... Redemption! Strutting through the curtain Redemption
walks down the ramp, mocking the fans with waves and nods
to their relentless booing. He has to break his attention
away from the crowd when he realizes Nicholas and Eclipse
are right in front of him; the two of them ready to rip
him apart the second the bell rings. Nick Burst - With what Redemption
accomplished at our last show, how could you not say he
has one of the best chances to win this match? Bobby Shavonie - Redemption is on an
upswing, and he's always been on the brink of greatness.
Beating Freedom Kid for the Network Title, then winning
the Christmas Tree match would be a nine day span that
ends up being more fruitful than a full career for some! Nick Burst - He's always been on the brink,
but when it came time for big matches he didn't step it
up; until last Addiction. Maybe he has finally found what
it takes to be great. We'll find out, that's for damn
sure. Edging around them with a bit of tension
Redemption gets to the side of the ring where Talon is,
and he holds up his hand looking for a high five. He is
stared down by Talon and getting the hint Redemption
backs off accordingly. Missy Janson - The ninth superstar to be
introduced to the match... from New York City, New
York... Adam Wilson! Switching focus from those already
announced as participants, the production team cuts to
the entrance way in time to catch Adam Wilson heading out
from the back. Bobby Shavonie - I feel like Adam Wilson
has been left in the dust a little bit, and he may be a
dark horse in this match. Nick Burst - He has a lot of talent, so
much potential, but he didn't come up big when he needed
to in matches for the Network and Tag Team Titles. He
needs to change that perception tonight. Bobby Shavonie - And you better believe he
has some issues with his former tag team partner, who
hasn't spoken a word to him since Brawltopia as far as I
know. Nick Burst - And I'm sure there's no love
lost between Wilson and Holloway as well. There are a lot
of side stories in this match, and you better fucking
believe they're going to impact the outcome. Rounding the ring Wilson stands next to
Talon, the two men not even looking at one another, as
Redemption is nearby keeping an eye on their possible
allegiance. A rare moment allows the cameras to focus on
Missy Janson who is still standing next to the commentary
table; backed away from the ring. Missy Janson - Getting into the double
digits of entrants on the way to the ring... from Parts
Unknown... Ataxia! Nick Burst - When we spoke about Eclipse,
and her being the most dangerous person in it; the only
person who could possibly challenge her for that crown is
Ataxia. In his mask, with a Santa hat on top of his
head and a fake white beard glued to the fabric of his
mask, Ataxia walks out of the back holding a bulap sack
over his back dressed as Santa Claus. Heading down to
ringside he willingly chooses to join the side of the
ring with Lorenzo Demarco and Eva De La Cruz, laying the
bag down next to him; and that's where he remains,
staring at Demarco. Nick Burst - And for sure, he definitely
wins the title of most disturbing individual; especially
after this fucking shit right here. Ataxia with a Santa's
hat and beard. Plus you know he's got some fuckery in
that bag in line for Nobody's Fucking Better. Bobby Shavonie - And maybe they deserve it
for what they did to Silence. I don't condone that type
of violence, but I've accepted that I will see a lot of
it tonight. Nick Burst - That you will. Missy Janson - Introducing now to the
ring... from Irvine, California... Liam Shayde! Bobby Shavonie - And speaking of the NFB... Running out from the back Liam Shayde
dashes down to ringside faster than any entrant before
him, and is quick to join up with Lorenzo giving them the
odds advantage over Ataxia; who isn't standing down. Nick Burst - This stable could come out
here and dominate. When you think about it, Nobody's
Fucking Better has the best odds to win this match; with
three of their members entered. Bobby Shavonie - Yeah but only one can win,
and do you think they can figure that out amongst
themselves? Nick Burst - I don't fucking know, Bobby.
So far they've seemed to be a pretty cohesive unit. The ringside area is getting incredibly
full now that a dozen OWF superstars surround the squared
circle, that contains the twenty-five foot tree. Missy Janson - Coming out from the back...
from Oakley, Michigan... Landon Chase! Bobby Shavonie - And it just got stronger. Taking a similar path to the one Liam took,
Landon Chase comes out from the back walking at a fast
pace ready to join up with his stable mates. Bobby Shavonie - If I was Ataxia, I'd
reconsider whatever he had planned for NFB. Nick Burst - Fuck Ataxia. The whole crew of
entrants have to take notice of their sheer numbers.
Teamwork in these kinds of matches can really take you a
long way. Landon, Liam and Demarco having each other's
backs is a huge advantage. Three-fourths of Nobody's Fucking Better
stand together, feeling a lot more confident as the voice
of the Ring Announcer rings through the speakers. Missy Janson - Entering next... from
Colorado Springs, Colorado... Kid Dynamo! The fans jump up out of their seats and
start hollering insults even before Kid Dynamo appears to
them. Nick Burst - Ha! Guess nobody wants to see
Kid Dynamo repeat as the winner of the OWF Christmas Tree
match. He walks out and gets booed even louder as
he walks down the ramp, and realizes that he has no
friends in this match. There is no side of the ring he
can go to, to fit in, so he walks around half of the ring
and stops at the time keepers table. Bobby Shavonie - To play devil's advocate,
if he did win you and every single fan booing him, would
have to give Kid Dynamo respect for a huge accomplishment
achieved. Nick Burst - If he wins tonight you're
going to see some shit hit the fan. Unbiased opinion, yes
he could grab that star like he did last year and could
very-well deserve it; but the thought of Kid Dynamo with
an OWF Title shot makes my skin crawl. Bobby Shavonie - You may not like the idea
of it, but a man of Dynamo's talent could easily win this
match. He looks at Missy who has been staring at
him since he arrived in front of her, and Dynamo insists
that she continue on with the introductions. Missy Janson - On his way to the ring...
from Los Angeles, California... Greg Jackson! The loudest response of the night from the
crowd, so far, is for Greg Jackson who emerges through
the curtains with all eyes on him. The fans chant his
name, fully supporting him through this turbulent time in
his life; which could prove to be a huge boost to his
career. Greg is aware of this as his demeanor is
completely serious on his way down to the ring. Bobby Shavonie - If there is any sort of
feel good story to find in a match like this, it has to
be the heartbreak Greg Jackson has suffered. That sounds
weird, I know, but if he wins tonight; he'll have a movie
made about his career. Nick Burst - I don't like to get personal
out here, but what he's had to endure with Christmas not
only being a holiday for his family; but the birthdate of
his son Jesus Jackson, who is has been missing for...
god, it's been too fucking long. Bobby Shavonie - And if Greg Jackson can
earn himself a shot at the OWF Championship, maybe
something good can come to him for once. Nick Burst - Personal shit aside, that's
all up to Greg when that bell rings. It'd be a great
fairytale story, but it's even better as reality. We just
have to wait and see which Greg Jackson we get tonight.
In the end he's got a one in fifteen shot of winning, and
he's not going against any slouches. He's going to have
to earn it, just like everyone else. Heading down the ramp Jackson joins up with
Nicholas and Eclipse, Missy Janson - And last but not least ...
from Las Vegas, Nevada... Jesse Williams! The second his name is mentioned the
KeyArena fills with boo's. The masked Jesse Williams
walks out to a chorus of hatred directed towards him and
stops on the ramp, and is seen closing his eyes shutting
out the outside world. Nick Burst - And then there's this guy, who
you can always pencil in as a favorite to win. Bobby Shavonie - There's no denying that
Jesse Williams is a legend, and possibily one of the best
wrestlers we have; but does he have what it takes to win,
even if he's considered a favorite? Nick Burst - Depends. He's going against a
ton of talent in this match. I cannot remember a more
talented field of competitors, and that's fucking
awesome. And then you have to consider, what the fuck did
that envelope from Zack say? For all we know Jesse may
have to jump off the top of the tree to the floor and
kill himself, if Zack pleases. Bobby Shavonie - Zack said this was iron
clad, Nick. Trust him for once. He opens his eyes and heads down the ramp,
meeting up with Nicholas first. The two bump fists but
Jesse pays no attention to Eclipse or Jackson; instead he
walks to the ring and grabs onto the middle rope with his
right hand, waiting for the bell to start the match. Officially all fifteen entrants are at
ringside; but there are no referee's to call this match.
Therefore Missy Janson, the Ring Announcer, sits down and
rings the bell on her own accord; signallingt he start of
the 2013 OWF Christmas Tree Match. FEATURING... (Ding, Ding,
Ding...) Mayhem occurs as
soon as the bell rings. Jesse Williams hops over the
ropes and begins to climb up the tree, and is soon joined
by Redemption and Eva De La Cruz who both have the same
idea. Those are the only tree who are currently climbing
the tree, with the rest of the competitors going at it
outside. Bobby Shavonie -
How did we ever call this match back in the day? I'm
already losing track of the wrestlers in this match! Nick Burst - Why
do you think I was only sipping my egg nog? If I was
hammered I'd just be cursing and screaming, and it'd be
justified. Just let the flow of the match take it's
course, and when we get near the end they'll be broken
down enough for us to voice our opinions. Lorenzo Demarco
steps back while Landon Chase and Liam Shayde go after
Ataxia, who has pulled a cookie sheet out of his santa
bag and fends them off with it. On the opposite side of
the tree, outside of the ring, Adam Wilson and Talon have
taken off to meet Doc Holloway and The Jackrabbit; and
those old emotions kick right back up as Jackrabbit
tackles Talon to the concrete floor, while Holloway and
Wilson start trading blows. While all of this is
happening Team Perry, made up of Nicholas Perry Greg
Jackson and Eclipse, barely move at all and just watch
the chaos going on around them. That is until they look
up to see Williams, Redemption and De La Cruz making good
progress up the tree; so those three join them,
distinctly looking to stop them from getting any higher.
Eclipse goes after Redemption and pulls him down into the
ring, using what little room they have to pound away at
his masked head. Nicholas goes after Eva De La Cruz who
bails from the tree once she realizes her efforts are
meaningless, and locks up with Perry near the ropes. Greg
Jackson has to start climbing to get up to where Jesse
Williams and manages to grab onto a boot, but can't do
much to progress from there. It is then that back on the
outside of the ring Landon and Liam have finally
overwhelmed Ataxia, and gotten the steel cookie sheet
away from him. He still fights with everything he has to
keep the two men away from him, but they work him over;
dropping Ataxia to a knee. They are nearly crashed into
by Nicholas and Eva as they topple over the top rope and
to the floor in the midst of their collar and elbow
tie-up, remaining entangled with each other. The camera cuts
back up onto the tree, where Jesse Williams has broken
free of Greg Jackson and has already made it up to the
platform fifteen feet up above the mat. He stands himself
up, looks up at the gold star, then turns around; waiting
for Greg Jackson to join him. It takes but a few seconds,
but finally Greg meets Jesse and the two men square off;
waiting for the other to make the first move. Back on the
outside right infront of the commentary booth The
Jackrabbit and Talon are literally clawing away at each
other, trying to do any kind of damage they can to one
another while Doc Holloway irish whips Adam Wilson
shoulder-first into the steel ring post of the ring. He
turns around and wants to get involved with Jackrabbit
and Talon, but there's a dilemma there on who he'd help,
so instead he approaches Adam Wilson and places his boot
on his face; pressing it down against the concrete floor.
They are right next to the side of the ring where inside
Eclipse has pinned Redemption back against the ropes,
only to be spun around and kneed in the gut. Traveling to
the tree Redemption grabs a glass ornament off a branch
and smashes it over the forehead of Eclipse, opening up a
small cut but other than that she doesn't seem phased. So
he takes it up a step, grabbing a string of lights off
the tree and wrapping it around Eclipse's throat. The
choke hold is completely legal in a match like this, and
Eclipse knows this as she loops up the slack in the cord
and rolls it around Redemption's throat; so now the two
are attached by this single string of lights. Back on the
outside of the ring Ataxia is just about starting to
fight off Liam Shayde and Landon Chase, when Lorenzo
Demarco runs over to Ataxia and nails him in the throat
with the pointy end of the candy cane. Ataxia goes down
to the concrete floor, as Lorenzo Demarco begins to stomp
all over him. He motions for Landon and Liam to head to
the ring, and they do so leaving Demarco behind. Bobby Shavonie -
What the heck? Nick Burst - HE
MADE THE CANDY CANE INTO A SHANK! HE WAS SUCKING ON IT TO
FUCKING SHARPEN IT! Looking around
Lorenzo notices Nicholas Perry and Eva De La Cruz
dangerously close to him, so he drops down and low blows
Nick with the candy cane and then jabs him in the eye
with it once he is hunched over. The crowd gasps as
Nicholas falls to the floor, covering his face with both
hands. Nick Burst - I
never thought I'd see fans cringe at a damn piece of
candy. Lorenzo Demarco
sees Eva De La Cruz he spins her around and goes to jab
her but she gets a hand up, the candy cane stabs into her
hand and pierces the skin. Lorenzo goes to pull the candy
cane away but it breaks with a piece of it sticking into
her hand. Lorenzo Demarco does not hesitate as he trips
her up and then steps on her arm to keep it in place. He
raises his foot and smashes the stuck piece of the candy
cane into her hand. It shatters and her hand now has the
ever so rare Candy Cane splinter stuck in it. The roll
Lorenzo is on has allowed Liam Shayde and Landon Chase to
climb the tree, reaching up to the platform where Jesse
Williams and Greg Jackson currently are still in a
stalemate and now Demarco looks ready to join them; only
to be grabbed from behind in a reverse waistlock by Kid
Dynamo, and german suplexed to the concrete floor. He
picked his spot and Kid Dynamo made an impact, cutting
off the hot streak Demarco was building up only to dart
into the ring and dump Redemption and Eclipse over the
top rope; literally hanging them both by the string of
lights trapped around their necks. Fortunately for them
the weight load of christmas lights isn't that high and
the wires fray, sending them down to the concrete floor
in the midst of Doc, Jackrabbit, Wilson and Talon all
fighting it out. On the side of the ring adjacent to them
Ataxia stands up, and notices Nicholas Perry rising up to
his knees just now getting over the candy cane shot to
the eye. Reaching into his santa bag, still dressed in
the santa costume, Ataxia grabs a broom handle and
smashes it over the top of Perry's masked head. He spins
around in time to catch Eva De La Cruz using the edge of
the ring apron to stand up on the concrete floor outside
of the ring, and she is met with the sharp splintered end
of the broom being driven into her forehead. Buying
himself some time Ataxia turns around and reaches back
into his bag, figuring out what he wants to do next as
Landon Chase and Liam Shayde finally join Jesse Williams
and Greg Jackson on the platform. While Greg and Jesse
never came to blows, neither of the two men show a second
of pause in going after the two members of the NFB; with
Jesse tackling Landon against the branches of the tree,
while Jackson lays out Shayde with a running clothesline.
Liam pops right back up and walks into a second
clothesline, and seems to want to repeat the process as
he stands to his feet; but this time ducks under the
outstretched arm of Greg Jackson. Coming up from behind
him he shoves Jackson forward near the edge of the
platform, causing Greg to lose his balance and forcing
him to grab onto the edge of the platform to prevent
himself from falling to the ring mat or even worse, to
the concrete floor. Bobby Shavonie -
Oh no.. Greg! While all of this
is going on Williams is working over Landon Chase, when
he looks over his shoulder seeing Greg in danger. That
little bit of hesitation allows Landon Chase to headbutt
Williams upon his chin, sending him back on his heels as
he gets dangerously close to the edge of the platform.
Although the high stakes action on the platform is very
intense, it's comparable to what Talon and The Jackrabbit
are going through as they've made their way to their feet
and have taken turns slamming one another into anything
they can find at ringside. The occasional punch or kick
is shared between the two, with no one gaining any sort
of advantage, but their personal issues are clearly
shining through; keeping both men on the outside of the
ring, not even thinking of the tree. The man Talon holds
the OWF Tag Team Championship with, Doc Holloway, has
just decided he is done with trying to keep Wilson down
and hops to a knee on the ring apron, standing himself up
ready to make his ascension. The second he gets to his
feet Adam Wilson reaches up and pulls Doc's legs out from
under him, causing Holloway's face to slam down onto the
unprotected edge of the ring apron before he falls down
to the concrete floor. Feeling very highly of himself
Adam Wilson backs up and bumps into a now-recovered
Eclipse; and is promptly grabbed around his throat by
her, and tossed back-first into the steel guard rail
separating the ringside area and the fans. A few feet
away Redemption gets up to his feet with help from the
skirt of the ring apron, only to receive both boots of
Kid Dynamo right upon the face from inside of the ring.
Even as Redemption is sent flying away from the ring,
leaving no one as a real threat to him, Kid Dynamo
remains in the ring seemingly not interested in climbing
the tree at this point. Bobby Shavonie -
There is so much going on right now. Bodies are
everywhere. Nick Burst -
They'll thin themselves out soon enough. Just wait until
more of these guys start climbing up to that plaform.
Shit's going to get real interesting, real fast. Bobby Shavonie - I
don't want things to get interesting. When interesting
things happen in matches like this, people get hurt. Nick Burst - It
comes with the territory, Shavonie. No amount of bitching
you do will change that. Kid Dynamo sees
Eclipse approaching the ring and bails out of it, but she
was only heading towards Redemption; picking him up by
his mask and tossing him back inside of the squared
circle. At this time Ataxia gets inside of the ring as
well, leaving Eva De La Cruz and Nicholas Perry on the
outside, and watches Eclipse following Redemption in.
Taking his chances Ataxia moves over to start stomping on
the left arm of Eclipse, which was broken only three
months ago at OWF Rise or Fall; and beaten up worse by
Ataxia and Silence in the weeks after. There's obviously
some damage still to be done as Eclipse would normally
hop right up and go to work on Ataxia, but she is slow to
do so. Grabbing onto the left hand of Eclipse, Ataxia
leads her up to her feet and locks her into an armwringer
submission. As soon as the hold is applied Eclipse spins
out of it and clotheslines Ataxia over the top rope, and
to the concrete floor, with her free right arm drawing a
big reaction from the crowd. The reason she was back in
the ring, to follow Redemption, hasn't worked out as he
has turned to the tree and looking to make his way up to
the platform. Back on the
outside of the ring Talon has finally gotten the upper
hand on The Jackrabbit, and body slams him down to the
concrete floor. He'd love to do more damage to him, but
Doc Holloway has now come into view; and the very odd
relationship between these three men is shown once again.
It's almost like they aren't concerned with what is going
on around them, or the consequences of staying outside of
the ring in this type of match; but it is still pretty
early on in the contest. Walking around the side of the
ring Talon, away from Doc and JR, Talon comes across Eva
De La Cruz who is now on her feet and he rushes at her
looking for a running clothesline. She dips under the arm
of Talon and he keeps on running, right into a perfectly
timed hurricanrana by Nicholas PerrIy who was hidden
behind De La Cruz, and Talon didn't even see him there.
Using the ropes to get into the ring, Eva leaves behind
Nick and Talon who are a little tangled up on the floor
and grabs onto the branches of the tree; climbing it on
the opposite side of which Redemption is. Redemption gets
himself up onto the platform, pulling off a glass
ornament to take with him, and sees what is going on up
there while completely unaware that Eclipse is in hot
pursuit of him. To his right Redemption sees Greg Jackson
still hanging off the edge of the steel platform, having
to keep his hands moving as Liam Shayde has taken to
stomping upon his fingers. To his left Jesse Williams is
behind shoved backwards by Landon Chase, inching closer
to the edge with every passing second. Bursting into
action Redemption throws the ornament and it smashes into
thousands of sharp pieces upon the face of Landon Chase,
giving Jesse Williams an opening to hit a side belly to
belly suplex; crushing Chase's back on the platform.
Walking to his right now Redemption sneaks up behind Liam
and tucks his head into his left armpit, grabs him around
the waist, and flips him over with a high angle back drop
suplex; laying him out just feet away from his NFB
stablemate. It's an incredibly weird turn of events when
Jackson pulls himself back onto the platform and Williams
gets up from his feet, to see the man who saved them is
none other than Redemption. Back on the platform the cameras
pick up Liam and Landon, as a team, as they grab
a hold of Eva De La Cruz, locking her in
mirroring suplex holds and lifting her up into
the air for a double suplex. She counters this by
front flipping over their backs and lands on her
feet, spinning herself around and waiting for her
two opponents to do so as well. As Liam does he
is met with a sharp kick to the right thigh from
De La Cruz that buckles him to a knee, while
Landon is knocked back a step a second later with
a right haymaker to the face. On a roll Eva De La
Cruz turns around and locks her eyes on Eclipse,
an old adversary of hers, and sees she is focused
on beating Redemption to a pulp against the tree
that it gives her an idea. Coming up from behind
Eclipse, Eva locks her in a sleeper hold which is
ultimately shortlived as a snapmare takedown
flips De La Cruz over so that she is seated on
the platform at the mercy of Eclipse behind her.
But Eclipse doesn't attack. Instead she goes back
to Redemption ready to pick up where she left
off, but finds herself being flipped over onto
her back and locked in a cross-armbreaker
submission hold from Redemption as he
hyperextends Eclipse's left arm. The submission
will not get him the win but the pain on
Eclipse's face is enough for him as he lays there
yanking back with all of his might. Both Landon
Chase and Liam Shayde back off and regroup near
the edge of the platform, looking over to only
now see Lorenzo Demarco making his way into the
ring. They choose to hang back now, waiting for
the third member of NFB to join them on the
platform. Thinking she has an open path to the
top, Eva De La Cruz grabs onto the tree but is
immediately grabbed by Jesse from behind; who she
backs off with swinging back elbow into his face.
This is now the second time he has stopped her
from climbing, and she is fed up. The fall
from Jackson is cushioned by Doc, who lands
back-first on the mat with pieces of the broken
glass bulbs stabbing him in the back. Getting
right up to his feet Greg's first actions are to
help Nicholas get untangled from the string of
lights. This momentary pause allows Talon to hop
down off the tree and grab Greg Jackson from
behind, lifting him up into an electric chair
position as Greg sits on Talon's shoulders. This
is not a good place for Jackson to be and as
Nicholas realizes this he gets to his feet, and
body tackles Talon; sending all three men
flipping over the top rope and crashing to the
floor in a heap of humanity; right next to
Lorenzo Demarco who grabs onto the edge of the
ring apron. Rolling over onto his side Holloway
sees what has happened to his tag team partner
and still enraged by the attack by Greg Jackson,
he exits the ring and immediately scoops Greg up;
slamming him head-first into the unprotected edge
of the ring apron. He moves over to Nicholas, who
is just getting up to his hands and knees, and
boots him across the left side of his ribcage. Nick Burst - Keep
your eyes on the NFB, as they're trying to regroup up on
the platform. Bobby Shavonie -
Keeping that in mind, the Tag Team Champions seem to have
their hands full with Greg Jackson and Nicholas Perry on
the outside; while The Jackrabbit has just meandered
around for a bit now waiting to pick his spot. Nick Burst - And
Redemption STILL has Eclipse locked in that
cross-armbreaker. Even though it won't get him the
submission win, it'll hurt her chances of being able to
climb up the last ten feet to the top of the tree. Bobby Shavonie -
Why did we even bother making picks before this match?
There's no way to predict the result of this mayhem! Nick Burst - Fuck
no, but at least with the screens split it's easier to
see who's in danger and who's got a chance to win. Out of
nowhere Adam Wilson comes into the picture and
pulls Landon Chase away to the otherside of the
tree; getting a chance to work him over with
repeated european uppercuts away from his stable
mates. He transitions this into a double-arm
suplex onto the platform, laying out Landon and
standing up to his feet. Neither Lorenzo or Liam
have caught onto this yet so Wilson decides to
try to climb up the tree, thinking no one is
watching. One man is, Jesse Williams, and reaches
up to pull Adam Wilson off the tree before he
even gets started and rocks him with a rolling
elbow to the face. Wilson staggers backwards and
Jesse turns away from him, eyeing up Lorenzo
Demarco as he charges around the platform; while
Shayde dips in trying to get at Jesse. Williams
disposes of him with a hiptoss, bringing Liam
very close to the edge of the platform, and moves
onto Lorenzo only to be met with a closed fist
right upon his mouth. While Jesse recovers both
Eclipse and Redemption look to get back into the
match, and for the first time they move on to
other competitors. Eclipse sees Eva De La Cruz
beginning to stir and grabs her by either side of
her head, leading her up to her feet on the
platform; while Redemption grabs onto Kid Dynamo
and hits him with repeated elbows to the face.
Adam Wilson and Ataxia seem to recover at the
same time and bump into one another, so naturally
they start trading blows with Ataxia getting a
brief advantage until Wilson hits a double cross
chop to the throat. Ataxia's heels near the edge
of the platform and Adam Wilson rushes in trying
to knock him off, but Ataxia bends down and sends
the crown of his masked head into Adam's waist.
Both men collapse down to the platform while
nearby Lorenzo Demarco grabs an ornament off the
tree and swings it at the head of Williams. It
never reaches as Jesse kicks his right foot up to
kick the right hand of Lorenzo, shattering the
ornament into his palm and causing him to yell
out in pain. To the right Talon is seen making
his way up onto the platform for the first time
in this match, and as he stands up he moves away
from the edge; knowing Nicholas Perry is right
behind him. Vacant makes his way up to the
platform as well now, straighten himself up as he
looks around through the eyeholes in his mask
trying to figure out exactly what is going on up
here. He walks away trying to make sense of it
all, while the camera pick up Doc Holloway's
hands grabbing onto the edge of the platform. As
soon as he lifts his entire body weight up to
join the rest of the competitors the split screen
is disposed of for a single shot up top. Talon and Greg Jackson are squaring
off on the outside, while Doc Holloway is trying
to pick Nicholas up to his feet; and The
Jackrabbit is just about to pull himself up to
the platform dragging up wired lights and
ornaments with him. Greg manages to hit Talon
with a left jab and turns around to Doc, tackling
him from behind. He looks up and yells at
Nicholas. Greg Jackson - GO! NOW! Nicholas
seems hesitant but runs at Talon, nailing him
with a running dropkick that sends him down to
the floor. As Jackson struggles with Doc
Holloway, Perry wants to get involved but chooses
instead to grab onto Talon; moving his way into
the ring, pulling him in with him. The two men
get to their feet and struggle next to the tree,
while on the outside Holloway finally breaks free
from Greg; and levels him with a big boot. Talon
clocks Nick with a vicious forearm to the side of
the head then rocks him with a lifting knee
strike, sending him down to all fours and it
gives him a view of Doc Holloway grabbing Greg
Jackson; and tucking his head between his legs.
There is nothing Nicholas can do as he watches
Doc Holloway lift him up into a standing crucific
powerbomb position; then tosses him back-first
down to the concrete, completing the Rod of
Asclepius and knocking Greg unconscious. Inside
of the ring Nicholas can be heard screaming out
and adrenaline carries him to his feet as he
vaults over the top rope connecting with a
suicide elbow smash to Doc Holloway's face;
bringing the crowd to a fever pitch when they see
Nicholas land right on his feet. He goes and
checks on Greg, who is still out cold, and he
waives for EMT's to come in. Any cheering the
fans were doing is now over, at least the ones
nearby, as Jackson is tended to while Nicholas
looks back into the ring. Talon has abandoned the
action outside and starts to make his way up to
the platform where the rest of the competitors
are and Perry pounds his fist upon the concrete,
leaving behind Greg and Doc to follow Talon. It's
obvious Greg is going to be unable to continue
and he is moved away from ringside with the help
of the medical staff, as he tries to fight them
off. Talon works his way into the fray up top,
with Nicholas right on his tracks as Doc Holloway
stands himself up on the outside; realizing he is
the only man at ringside now. He watches Talon,
then Nick, get themselves up onto the platform
and decides that now is as good of a time as ever
to get involved. The camera man dedicated to
following the action on the outside watches the
progress of Doc Holloway closely as he rolls into
the ring, grabs onto the bottom branches of the
christmas tree, and uses it to stand himself up.
Now he climbs only hoping to find a place on the
platform as he would be the fourteenth competitor
to stand on it, now that Greg Jackson has been
moved backstage. Finally Doc begins his climb,
and the fans try to keep their eye on him as he
heads upwards. A few seconds later Doc Holloway
makes it to the fifteen foot mark and hoists
himself up onto the platform as the split screen
combines into one shot. Nick Burst - I'm at a loss for
fucking words. Fourteen competitors are up on that
platform, and we've already seen one man taken out of
here. Bobby Shavonie - Greg Jackson is that man,
and it's a shame too. But I fear that won't be the worst
of what we see tonight. Nick Burst - Fuck, no. Do you see how
crowded it is up there? These motherfuckers are in
serious danger. Bobby Shavonie - There's enough room to
move, but not without invading another persons space. Nick Burst - And this match, that's all it
takes for someone to toss you to the floor. We see that
NFB is standing together, and they've been doing it well.
Otherwise, everybody is fighting their own battles. Bobby Shavonie - Is it worth it? Is the
risk of permanent injury worth the reward? Nick Burst - The OWF Title is worth it,
otherwise these superstars wouldn't have shown up
tonight. Nicholas moves off
and groups up with Jesse, executing a double boot as the
two look at one another. Before they can continue with
their double team move Lorenzo has moved away, regrouping
with Landon Chase and Liam Shayde. A few feet away Doc
Holloway turns, suddenly coming face to face with his tag
team partner Talon, just as The Jackrabbit rounds the
corner of the steel scaffolding behind his former Fusion
partner. The two big men hold each others' gazes for a
long second, and then Holloway's eyes flick to meet The
Jackrabbit's. Talon turns, following Holloway's line of
sight, finally noticing the Unorthodox One standing
behind him. Talon warily glances between The Jackrabbit
and Holloway, remembering their recent alliance. Holloway
takes a step forward, just as The Jackrabbit does the
same. Nick Burst - Shit,
this is going to be a train wreck. They messed around
earlier on... but this is going to be bad. No sooner does
Nick speak than Lorenzo Demarco, Liam Shayde and Landon
Chase appear and begin to surround the trio, spotting a
natural opportunity for NFB to take three competitors out
of the running. Holloway and The Jackrabbit both turn
their attention away from Talon and toward the newcomers,
and the three men back up toward each other, forming a
rough triangle. The NFB are meanwhile yelling at each
other, each trying to direct traffic, as Holloway, The
Jackrabbit and Talon settle in for the onslaught. Nick Burst - Look
at NFB, they're circling like a flock of sharks. They're
just waiting for the right moment to jump those guys. Bobby Shavonie - A
flock of sharks? Nick Burst - Shut
up and watch, Bobby! The NFB move as
one, suddenly bearing down on their prey, and the fight
dissolves into a brawl. In the scuffle The Jackrabbit
gets Demarco in a front facelock, bringing Liam Shayde to
his defense as he strikes the Unorthodox One with a wild
haymaker to his temple. The Jackrabbit staggers, freeing
Lorenzo, and in response Doc Holloway lunges at Shayde
with a vicious discus clothesline. Shayde ducks under the
move, and Holloway's inertia takes him in front of
Demarco, who catches him in a rear naked choke for his
trouble. Bobby Shavonie -
The Jackrab- Demarco's got- Wait, Talon- I can't keep up
with this! Talon's attention
is drawn by Holloway's predicament, but as Talon moves to
free his tag team partner, Landon Chase takes full
advantage, springing for the scaffold and spring-boarding
from it into an asai moonsault which takes Talon and
himself down in a heap. Chase is quickly back to his
feet, and moves to take advantage of Lorenzo's grip on
Holloway, when suddenly as a blur Adam Wilson shoots in
from the side, crashing into Landon like a freight train. Nick Burst -
Running dropkick! Adam Wilson makes the save on his
former tag partner! Bobby Shavonie - I
guess that's why they call him the Saviour! Nick Burst - What?
You crack jokes now? The numbers
turning against the NFB, they back off to regroup; and
after a brief discussion Liam Shayde begins to climb up
the tree, protected by his two partners. Bobby Shavonie -
Things sure heated up for a moment there, and that goes
to show the kind of history surrounding those four men,
not to mention the co-ordination of the NFB; which
continues now! Nick Burst - No
kidding. JR and Friends have had issues, and we saw the
evidence of that right here. Nick Perry and
Jesse Williams are right there to fend off Lorenzo and
Landon, but Williams is enraged at Liam Shayde; yanking
him down and pulling him to the edge of the platform.
Just when Williams is about to toss him off, Ataxia
rushes in and boots Liam right upon his face and he
backflips off the platform. He crashes stomach-first onto
the top rope of the ring below, then flops to the
concrete floor completely motionless. Nick Burst - Ah
fuck, Liam is dead! These EMT's are going to earn their
paychecks tonight! The cameras pull
away from Liam as the medical staff approach, we cut back
up onto the platform as Williams stares at Ataxia who
bows away as if to say he just had to do that. A few feet
away Redemption has control over Kid Dynamo, until Dynamo
pulls out a leaping knee strike to Redemption's face;
staggering him backwards and KD doesn't waste a single
second in charging forward, trying to bring Redemption
over the edge. He pulls guard and falls back-first to the
steel platform, dealing with that pain to avoid being
sent to the floor. Adam Wilson, Talon, The Jackrabbit and
Doc Holloway stand in a square looking at each other and
are just about to pick up where they started off when the
bell rang when Ataxia comes up from behind and pushes
Jackrabbit forward into Adam Wilson. As a result of this
Wilson stumbles backwards right into a full-nelson from
Eclipse which she uses to lift Adam up and throw him
straight down to the platform with a slam. Doc Holloway
turns around just in time to see Eva De La Cruz rushing
in and catches her with a knee to the stomach, then grabs
her into a front face lock. De La Cruz easily worms her
way out of the hold and hits a roundhouse kick to to side
of Holloway's head; dropping him to a knee. Left alone
again The Jackrabbit and Talon rear up their arms ready
to fight it out but they are interrupted by the remaining
members of the NFB, Lorenzo Demarco and Landon Chase, as
they pair off. Now the only two men who aren't paired off
are Jesse Williams and Nicholas Perry. They two men stand
together as a unit until Nick turns and starts to climb
up the tree, trying to catch Williams off guard. It
doesn't work and Jesse, surprisingly to some, yanks Nick
right back down and shakes his head from side to side.
It's impossible to see the reactions on the faces of
these two men as they are hidden by masks, but their
actions show their emotion as Nicholas rears up and
pushes Williams across the chest; shoving him backwards.
Jesse points up to the star, then right at Nicholas, and
shakes his head again before turning his back on
Nicholas. Perry does not like this and grabs Jesse upon
the arm, but as Williams turns around he belts Nicholas
with a forearm shiv to the face; knocking him back to his
seat. Jesse stands over Nick, after doing something he
said he'd never do, and can be seen sighing. Now he walks
away and looks for the closest person to him but nobody
else is available, and in this moment he has an easy path
to the top of the tree. He doesn't even look at the star
or try to climb, instead Jesse stays on the platform and
waits for anyone to get into his range. Stumbling towards
him, holding her left arm in a bit of pain, Eclipse
rushes Jesse and knocks him backwards into the tree.
Ornaments fall all around them and Williams is able to
free himself easily, only to get caught with a elbow
strike to the back of the head which drops him to all
fours. Now it's Eclipse who has a chance to get to the
top of the tree and with her right arm she starts to
climb, trying to use her left arm as little as possible.
The fans, who have been standing since the bell rang, get
loud when they see Eclipse nearing the star; and grow
even louder as Nick Perry joins her just a few feet away.
Below them Doc Holloway and Eva De La Cruz stop fighting
it out and turn, seeing just how close those two are to
getting to the top. Eva goes after Nick, and Holloway
goes to Eclipse; but Perry kicks De La Cruz away and she
crashes into Holloway. His fall to the platform brings
Eclipse off the tree as the back of her head hits the
platform and she rolls over, hanging over the edge of the
platform by only her right arm. She tries to use the left
to help out but it's too damaged and eventually her right
arm gives out. She lands feet-first on the concrete floor
below and she yells out in pain, as the attempt to brace
herself does not go as planned. Bobby Shavonie -
Oh my! Eclipse is down now! Nick Burst - She
shouldn't have fallen to her legs! She already has a bum
arm, and she may have just broken her legs as well. Anyone who falls
is being taken to the back by the EMT's, with or without
their permission. Eclipse fights it as hard as she can
but being unable to stand on her own two feet hampers her
attempts at pushing the medical staff away. Cutting away
from ringside and back up to the platform, the numbers
are thinning out. The Jackrabbit and Talon have their
hands full with Lorenzo Demarco and Landon Chase as the
pace of the superstars is starting to slow down. Demarco
gets the upper hand on JR and pushes him away, turning
back to the tree but gets grabbed from behind by Talon
who stops him from even thinking about climbing to the
top. Talon clocks Lorenzo with a right hand; then all of
a sudden the sound of bending metal is heard. Nick Burst - HOLY
SHIT! LOOK OUT BELOW! A section of the
platform gives out, sending JR, Talon, Demarco and Landon
falling downwards. They all manage to grab onto the tree
without falling to the ground, but the section of
scaffold hits the concrete and comes dangerously close to
hitting the fans. Bobby Shavonie - I
THOUGHT THAT THING WAS SUPPOSED TO SUPPORT ALL OF THEIR
WEIGHT?! Nick Burst - Well
obviously that was a lie! Bobby Shavonie -
Thankfully that malfunction didn't take out four of our
remaining superstars! Talon emerges from the gap
in the platform, rejoining the mess up on the
platform; followed closely from behind by Lorenzo
Demarco. As soon as they get up top they go right
back to trading shots, neither man getting an
advantage as they both inch closer to another
fall; this one they probably won't be as lucky
after. They are right on top of Ataxia and Wilson
but don't get involved in their tussle, too
consumed with their own. Now it's Doc Holloway
and Jesse Williams who begin to come back to
life, rolling away from one another as they've
both been dealt a lot to deal with in this match
so far. A few seconds later The Jackrabbit
re-establishes himself up on the platform,
looking around to see what's his best plan of
action as he moves away from the edge. A moment
later he turns back around to see Landon Chase's
hands grab onto the platform, followed by his
head peering over, and eventually his whole body
as the split screen shot ends. As he climbs he looks up to see
Talon and Demarco still going at it, showing not
only how strong their are; but how resilient they
are as well by not giving up on trading shots
with one another. Talon gets the advantage on
Demarco and leaves him stunned with a short jab
to the mouth, and heads back up the tree leaving
Demarco behind. Right under him is The Jackrabbit
who is just out of reach from grabbing Talon's
feet and he watches him make it back up to the
platform. As The Jackrabbit tries to pass Lorenzo
Demarco he has a glass ornament smashed across
the side of his face, and if not for his left
hand JR would have fallen right down to the mat
next to Landon Chase. Now Demarco moves up,
looking to gain a measure of revenge on Talon as
he too gets back up onto the steel scaffolding.
Down below Landon Chase begins to stir and sits
himself up facing the tree, knowing what the task
at hand is; but he has to compose himself first.
Heading to the base of the tree he begins his
ascent while about five feet above him The
Jackrabbit regains his senses, and feels the urge
to get back up top before the match ends without
him being a factor in it. He inches way upwards,
latching his hands onto the platform, and
hoisting himself up to that height while Landon
Chase remains as the only competitor below it. A
few seconds later that ends up no longer being
the case, as now every active competitor is up on
the steel platform; ending the need for the split
screen. Every competitor
still active in this match is up top on the platform, and
it makes for a hectic scene. The Jackrabbit and Landon
Chase go back at one another, while Adam Wilson is seen
cutting off Ataxia's attack and making his way to his
feet. It takes a bit of positioning but eventually Adam
Wilson begins to climb the tree, with no one around him,
and he gets close to the star; closer than anyone has
previously. Just as he reaches
up Jesse Williams comes back into play, sticking his head
between Wilson's legs and pulling him into a powerbomb
position. The crowd gasps but Jesse powerbombs him down
onto the platform and allows the momentum of Wilson's
body to carry him over the edge. He lands inside of the
ring on his side and the medical staff check on Wilson,
who is in no shape to continue. Back up on the platform
Jesse turns around, and now he sees Ataxia starting to
make his climb to the top now that he no longer has Adam
Wilson to deal with. He steps in, as he has done the
entire match, and locks Ataxia in a reverse waist lock;
only to dump him over onto the back of his head with a
release german suplex. The sheer power of the move rolls
Ataxia onto his knees right in front of the edge of the
platform, giving himself up for further attack by Jesse.
A superkick to the kneeling Ataxia sends him backflipping
off the platform and crashing to the concrete floor,
which he was able to brace himself for. Right now medical
team members outnumber the remainder of superstars still
competing in this match, as they try to give these men
the proper care. Bobby Shavonie -
My goodness! Jesse Williams has sent Adam Wilson and
Ataxia down to their doom! Nick Burst - Any
single person who has tried to get to that fucking star,
he's gotten his ass up to prevent it. Bobby Shavonie -
If he's playing a defensive game it's going to cost him. Nick Burst - I
suspect it's much more than that. Kid Dynamo
headbutts Eva De La Cruz causing her to give up on her
offense in order to prevent herself from taking a fall.
Finally free Dynamo comes up behind Jesse Williams and
grabs him in a sleeper hold, flipping Dynamo over he
sends him flying off the edge of the platform and the
fans don't know what to make of this. KD slams into the
steel guardrail below and the bodies are starting to pile
up. Nick Burst - THESE
GUYS ARE DROPPING LIKE FLIES! Bobby Shavonie -
And Jesse has a clear path to the top! No one can stop
him! The crowd is in
absolute awe right now as Jesse Williams turns around,
looks to the top of the tree and takes a deep breath. He
doesn't climb, instead he walks around the platform and
waits for someone else to try to climb so he can rain on
their parade. Nick Burst - What
the fuck is he doing? This isn't a match you can win with
eliminations! Get the fucking star you idiot! Jesse Williams
sees Redemption standing over Nicholas Perry, booting him
upon the chest and this enrages Williams. He comes up
from behind Redemption, spins him around, and decks him
with a closed fist to the face. It doesn't stop there as
Jesse mounts his adversary, who he has a deep past with,
and continues wailing away at his masked face making him
pay for his attacks on Perry. Cutting back to The
Jackrabbit and Landon Chase it's obvious that JR has an
advantage and he shows it with a european uppercut that
backs Landon against the tree. Having enough of dealing
with him The Jackrabbit grabs some of the lights and uses
the wires to literally tie Chase against the trunk of the
tree; immobilizing him as JR walks away coming upon Doc
Holloway who has been hanging back a bit now, trying to
get himself composed. The odd relationship between the
two continues as they stare at one another and move in
opposite directions; Jackrabbit coming up on Lorenzo
trying to use a sneak attack to get the better of him,
while Doc Holloway has his sights set on Jesse Williams.
Coming up from behind Jesse he locks him in a sleeper
hold, lifts him off of Redemption, and in one quick
motion delivers a sleeper suplex that drops Williams onto
the top of his head; seemingly unconscious as he hits the
platform. Using his boot he rolls Williams to the edge of
the platform where he holds on for dear life, but Doc
Holloway is grabbed from behind by Eva De La Cruz and
tossed over the edge; thankfully able to grab onto the
platform to prevent himself from taking a brutal fall.
Turning her back on Doc, Eva thinks she has just gotten
rid of one of the biggest threats in the match and steps
forward towards the tree. She's not alone in this thought
as Nicholas Perry, althought a little beaten up, watches
De La Cruz's progress and is sure to keep with her.
Grabbing her boots he has no intention of climbing up
with her, but preventing her from getting any higher than
she is; while in the distance Doc Holloway pulls his
massive frame back onto the platform, and remains laying
upon it to survey the lay of the land again. The
Jackrabbit has taken control of Lorenzo Demarco, locking
him in a collar and elbow tie-up and using it to fire
alternating lifting knees into his chest. He didn't go
after Demarco to save Talon, persay, but at the very
least it has given Talon a chance to step in to help
Nicholas Perry; as the two tug Eva De La Cruz back down
to the platform. Enraged De La Cruz fights back managing
to catch Talon with a back elbow strike, and a lifting
knee to Nicholas' stomach; but when she goes back to
Talon she is lifted high into the air and slammed to her
back with a twisting spinebuster on the unforgiving
steel. As Talon rises to his feet he is grabbed from
behind by Nicholas who backpedals as quick as he can to
the edge of the platform and tries to lift his opponent
up for a back drop off the perch they are standing on,
but his attempt at The Vacancy is thwarted when Talon
charges forward and hits a sitout bulldog; slamming
Nick's masked face into the steel platform. He's a little
taken back from it as well as his tailbone suffers from
the impact of sitting out, but his condition is not
nearly as bad as Nick is right now. Lorenzo Demarco
does all that he can to free himself from The Jackrabbit
by digging his finger tips into JR's eyes, and although
it's a temporary solution that he can't captialize on it
keeps him from being thrown off the edge like many before
him. Even though he can't go on offense Lorenzo Demarco
crawls to the tree, grabs onto it's branches, and makes
an attempt at gaining the star as the crowd has been worn
out and thinned out by the course of this bout. He
doesn't even notice Landon is tied up, and gradually
taking steps to free himself, as he climbs towards the
top of the tree. His progress is halted by Redemption who
sticks his head between Demarco's thighs and briefly
hoists him into an electric chair position; but his body
cannot support Lorenzo's weight, and Redemption is forced
to send him back down to his feet on the platform. The
second he does so Redemption is caught with a spinning
back-first to the face which knocks him back a few steps,
allowing Demarco to head right back up the tree. Finally
clearing his vision The Jackrabbit steps in, yanking
Demarco right back down and hitting him with a double
cross chop to the throat. He falls to the platform open
for further attack but Redemption grabs onto Jackrabbit,
slamming his face into the trunk of the tree sending him
into a daze as he drops to a knee. It's Redemption's turn
to climb the tree now but Jesse Williams, the ruiner that
he has been all match, comes in and tackles him off the
side of the tree. Both men land on the steel platform
rolling around trying to get any advantage they can, but
they know each other so well neither man can go on the
offensive. Back in the swing
of things Eva De La Cruz moves away from her competitors
and oddly enough heads to the edge of the platform and
yells down into the crowd, for some reason. This brings a
female member over the guardrail and Eva De La Cruz is
happy to see her. She's even happier after Lorenzo
Demarco tosses her over the edge, and she gets caught by
the female fan; wiping them both out on the concrete
almost twenty feet below. Her fall could have been much
worse if it wasn't for this person who grabbed her, and
security swarms the area. Medical staff move to Eva who
wants to continue but in the hustle and bustle both women
are escorted backstage, effectively taking Eva out of the
match. From behind Landon Chase, who has recently gotten
free of the tangle in the lights against the tree, lays
his hand on Lorenzo's shoulder and Demarco turns around,
slapping the hell out of Landon who staggers backwards
into a big boot from Talon; followed by an axekick which
he calls the End of Reason. Demarco tries to move in to
help his partner but gets cut off by The Jackrabbit,
allowing Talon to boot Landon over the edge; sending him
falling chest-first to the ring canvas fifteen feet
below. Bobby Shavonie - I
CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE NICK! WE'VE SEEN THE CAREERS OF
EIGHT OF OUR BEST POSSIBLY GET CUT SHORT... ALL FOR A
SHOT AT THE OWF TITLE! Nick Burst - First
off, stop screaming. Secondly, they knew the risk when
they got in this match. Third, yeah, it may not be the
best for the future of their careers; but the OWF fans,
both here in Seattle and those watching at home, are
getting their money's worth. Bobby Shavonie -
By watching the pain of others! I thought I could handle
watching this... I can't. Nick Burst - So
close your eyes or something. I don't know what to tell
you. We started with fifteen. We're down to seven. Lorenzo breaks
away from The Jackrabbit and hops across the gap in the
platforms, where the piece earlier fell, to put some
distance between them. Lorenzo looks down to see
Redemption getting on top of Jesse Williams and slamming
his head against the platform, and that's his cue to step
in and grab Redemption by his mask. Slamming his head
downwards, Lorenzo Demarco catches Redemption with a
lifting knee that knocks his opponent loopy; preventing
him from continuing his attack. Lorenzo sets Redemption
up for a suplex but is cut off by a returning Nicholas
Perry, clubbing Demarco upon his back and bending him
backwards in a dragon sleeper. He falls back and hits the
reverse DDT and stands up only to be leveled with a
running yakuza kick from Redemption; showing his
appreciation for the assist. Rounding the tree Redemption
sees The Jackrabbit and comes up to the side of him,
flipping him down to the steel platform with a judo toss;
then sits him up on his rear for a lunging knee strike to
the back of the head. For good measure Redemption stomps
JR across his chest and turns around to see Talon waiting
for him. Collapsing to the platform Redemption grabs at
Talon's waistline and pulls him forward so that he
collapses on the steel scaffold; but he's immediately
grabbed around the throat by Doc Holloway, with both
hands, and he pulls Redemption up to his feet. In a last
ditch effort Redemption kicks Holloway right between the
legs and that's enough to get any man to relinquish any
hold. As soon as Talon returns to his feet he is grabbed
onto by Jesse Williams who nails a leaping knee strike to
the face, followed by wrapping his opponent up in a front
face lock. Jesse's DDT attempt is countered with a
release northern lights suplex that his back takes the
full brunt off. Rising up to his feet Talon steps forward
and gets hit with a right hand from Lorenzo Demarco that
is so loud it echoes off the walls of the arena. Talon
drops to his back, and the camera zooms out a bit. Somehow the only
three men standing are now Redemption, Lorenzo Demarco
and The Jackrabbit; all equally far away from one
another. This turns into a mad dash to the tree as the
trio scramble upwards, forgetting about the other four
men beneath them. Their bodies are beaten down so their
progress is slow but it's odd how their progress is
mirror images of one another. Finally the three men,
Redemption, The Jackrabbit and Lorenzo Demarco, are all
up at the top of the tree; their hands grazing the gold
star as the tension rises to new heights. First
Redemption takes a step up and gets his hands on the star
but as he does JR joins him and nails him with a jab to
the throat. With Redemption's hands off the star The
Jackrabbit now latches his palms to it and just as he is
about to pull it off he is slapped across the face by
Lorenzo. The slap doesn't harm Jackrabbit and instead he
unleashes a left handed slap on Demarco's face, keeping
his right hand on the star; then switches places with his
hands, holding onto the star with his left to slap
Demarco with his right. Going for a high stakes version
of Slap Happy The Jackrabbit winds up his right arm once
again, only to be headbutted upon the sternum by a
recovered Redemption. Both men are in a daze giving
Demarco his shot at possessing the star; but at the same
exact time the three men lose their balance, their weight
unable to be supported on such a thin part of the tree
trunk. The crowd yells out in fear as they fall
backwards, all hitting the steel platform ten feet below;
but none of them rolling off the edge another fifteen
feet to the concrete floor, and the star remains on top
of the tree, as well. The fans in the sold-out KeyArena
are silent for the first time in the match as the three
men who just fell are barely moving, and with good reason
with everything they've been through. This also allows
for the cameras focusing up top to see that the last four
men standing are Jesse Williams, Talon, Nicholas Perry
and Doc Holloway. What should be a natural alliance on
the part of the OWF Tag Team Champions isn't there as
they split off, with Talon eyeing up Nicholas and Doc
heading towards Williams. Switching up the pace Nicholas
runs at Holloway and hits him with a running double knee
strike to the chest forcing him back-first against the
tree. As soon as Nicholas gets up he sees Talon and Jesse
switching holds, trying to transition into something that
will give them an edge, but the two are evenly matched
even this last into the contest. Running up to the tree
Nicholas climbs to the five foot mark with ease and the
crowd gets behind him as he gets closer and closer to the
star. His hope spot is ruined when Doc Holloway comes in
and grabs him around the throat and lifts him off the
tree into a chokeslam position. Countering out of it
Vacant lands on his feet behind Doc and leaps high in the
air to deliver a dropkick to the back of his opponent's
head. That sends him bumping into Talon, who gets knocked
to the edge of the platform as he is broken away from
Jesse Williams. Quick to stand up Talon looks at Doc and
cocks his head sideways and even though there is an
explanation as to why they made contact, Holloway isn't a
man of many words. The two tag team partners stare at
each other, as if this is going to be what sends them
over the deep end, when Nicholas comes out of nowhere
with a roundhouse kick to the back of Holloway's head. He
stumbles forward towards Williams who is preparing for a
superkick, but Doc twirls around and lays Jesse out on
the platform with a discus clothesline that the crowd
explodes for. Now Jesse is down, his eyes wide open
looking at Jackrabbit, Redemption and Demarco who are all
trying their best to get back into the match; but just
seem unable to do so. He doesn't want to be grouped with
them so he fights with all he can to get up to all fours,
while Talon and Doc turn to look at Nicholas Perry.
Whether they meant to do it or not they hit synchronized
elbow shots, Doc with his left, Talon with his right,
directly to the masked head of Nicholas; knocking him
down to the platform. The two men
standing now are Doc Holloway and Talon; the OWF Tag Team
Champions. The crowd applauds them and when they see Doc
and Talon break towards the tree, the foundation of the
KeyArena nearly crumbles due to the sound waves the fans
are producing. They race to the top where they lock eyes
with the prize, the gold star right in front of them,
separating them. Tag partners or not Talon hits Doc with
a right elbow, and Holloway returns fire with a right
forearm shiv to Talon's face. Nick Burst - Talon
and Holloway! Duking it the fuck out almost thirty feet
in the air for a shot at the OWF Title! Bobby Shavonie -
Could this match be finally coming to an end? Has enough
damage been done already? And will it be decided by the
OWF Tag Team Champions? The tree sways
back and forth and their combined weight seems to just
balance out the waiver, while the weight of JR, Demarco
and Redemption was too much to handle. They go through
another series of strikes, Talon catching Doc with a left
and Doc hitting Talon with a right; but they remain in
their stalemate. That is until Talon nails his third
attack and Doc Holloway slips down the side of the tree,
landing on his feet on the platform. He is instantly
grabbed onto by Nicholas Perry who kicks himself off the
tree and hits a tornado DDT, spiking Doc's head into the
platform; as Talon is about to grab the star. Just
seconds away from victory Talon is torn away and back
down to the steel scaffold by Jesse Williams who has no
further offense to keep Talon in check, but once again he
has prevented someone from winning. Coming at Jesse,
Talon has him dead to rights to knock him off the
platform but the save is made by Nicholas who comes it
with a running one-footed dropkick to lay out Talon. The
fans being as loud as ever set the scene for the two men
left standing now. Nicholas Perry and Jesse Williams
stare at each other, both equally distant from the tree
itself. Nicholas heads up the tree, but Williams yanks
him down without hesitation. Nicholas, angered at this
moment, cracks Jesse with a hard elbow strike to the face
and it backs him up so that he trips over Doc's body;
having gotten himself up onto all fours. Nick sees Jesse
roll near the edge and covers his eyes, until he is
accosted by Doc Holloway with a boot to the stomach. Then
he's attacked from behind by Talon with a forearm to the
base of the skull, sending him down to his hands and
knees; but the team of Talon and Holloway don't want him
there. While Jesse Williams dangles over the edge of the
platform all he can do is watch as the OWF Tag Team
Champions lift Nick right back up to his feet and prepare
him for some sort of double team move. The crowd breaks
into a fit of cheers when the agile Nicholas leaps away
from the two men and dashes up the tree, grabbing onto
the star and nearly pulling it free. The only problem is
that his few seconds of freedom are up as Doc and Talon
have adjusted themselves, and are tall enough to grab
Perry; tugging him off of the tree without the star, and
holding him in a double powerbomb position. Bobby Shavonie -
Oh no... OH NO! Nick Burst - GET
THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY BOBBY! NOW! The commentators,
with their wireless headsets applied, move away from
their table as Talon and Doc Holloway inch closer to the
edge, ready to powerbomb Nicholas to the floor. Knowing
how dire his situation is Nick throws alternating right
and left hands to the faces of his opponents, and looks
for any way to escape but there is no use. Bobby Shavonie -
This is bad.. This is really, really ba-- Out of nowhere
Jesse Williams charges in, and tackles Talon and Doc
Holloway from behind. The result of which sends Nicholas
down to his hands and knees on the platform; and ends up
with Williams, Holloway and Talon crashing through the
commentary table. Nick Burst - HOLY
FUCKING SHIT! WE JUST SAW SOMEONE DIE TONIGHT! LEGIT! Bobby Shavonie -
THAT'S A TWENTY FOOT FALL... MY GOD! DO WE HAVE ANYBODY
LEFT ON THE MEDICAL TEAM? Although the three
men are laid out at the ringside area, the cameras
quickly cut back upwards to see Nicholas Perry heading
towards the tree; with every single fan behind him. Nick Burst -
TALON, DOC AND JESSE ARE OUT OF IT... BUT LOOK... NICK'S
GOING FOR THE STAR! The Jackrabbit,
Lorenzo Demarco and Redemption are starting to stir on
the platform but all their bodies will allow them to do
is watch Nicholas Perry as he carefully climbs up to the
top of the tree; the volume inside of the arena
escalating with every step. As he reaches the star he
pulls it off and hugs it to his chest, as the bell is
rung to signify the end of the match. (... Ding,
Ding, Ding!) Nick Burst - HE
GOT IT! HE GOT IT! Bobby Shavonie -
What brutality! What violence! And Nicholas Perry is the
one who walks away the winner! Missy Janson - The
winner of the 2013 OWF Christmas Tree Match... going on
to the challenge for the OWF World Heavyweight
Championship at OWF Clash of Champions...
NIIIIIIIICHOLAAAAAAS PEEEEEEERRRY! The atmosphere cannot be described as any
camera in the arena is shaking due to the vibrations
these fans are causing. Medical staff swarms the area,
followed by the ring crew, as there's a huge task for
both of those parties following this match. Nick Burst - I'm at a loss for words. Bobby Shavonie - You're at a loss for
words? We just saw a match that happens once a year, that
I'd be happy to call zero times a year. Nick Burst - You have to admit, through all
the terrible things we saw, that match was incredible.
Every single competitor brought their best. Bobby Shavonie - If you look at it that
way, yes. We had fifteen competitors who could have won
this match, and Nicholas Perry deserves a ton of respect
for winning tonight. He has earned his shot at the OWF
Title. Nick Burst - And Bobby you're not alone
when you worry about the other fourteen. We saw a
majority of them take huge falls, or suffer a lot of
damage; or just be set into a state of exhaustion. The
future of Nicholas Perry is very bright; but the recovery
period for the rest of his opponents is going to be
pretty cloudy. The camera shot of Nicholas Perry climbing
down the tree to the platform, with the star in hand, is
beamed upon the Outsider Tron. The efforts by Jackrabbit,
Lorenzo Demarco and Redemption to get back up to their
feet have transitioned to lowering themselves off the
platform in the safest way possible now that the match is
over. This gives Nick a chance to hold the star above his
head, receiving a huge pop from the crowd, as he now
decides to get off the tree so that the show can
continue. Bobby Shavonie - Thank goodness for our
great medical team. They've been hard at work tonight and
hopefully this is the last time we will have to see them
this evening. Nick Burst - Yeah, hopefully as this ring
crew gets done with the Christmas Tree they can build us
a new table. Bobby Shavonie - That's what you're worried
about? Not the men who sacrificed their bodies for this
match? Nick Burst - Of course I'm worried about
them. Without those tossed to their doom, we don't have a
promotion. Then I don't have a job. You also have to give
them credit for what they accomplished. Nobody's Fucking
Better looked okay, Ataxia was a mad man, Dynamo seemed a
little out of it... Redemption, Eva and Jackrabbit were
all in it until the end. You have to look at the bright
spots. Medical staff are working on Doc, Talon and
Jesse as Nicholas hits the floor. It's then that it sinks
in exactly what happened, as the ring crew begins to
break down the OWF Christmas Tree inside of the ring. Nick Burst - But you also have to look to
the future. At the very least Nicholas Perry will be
challenging for the OWF Championship at OWF Clash of
Champions, and that is huge news. Bobby Shavonie - Absolutely. His opponent
is either going to be Freedom Kid or Moxie Roxie, and we
all win no matter the outcome of our Main Event tonight! Nick Burst - That's right. Two matches on a
show, and both of them are going to be match of the year
candidates.
