At this time, Nikka's cd hadn't come out yet, so I pre ordered it from CD NOW. When I finally got it, I listened to it all the time. There's not one bad song on that cd. She's got pop songs, rock songs, dance songs, soft songs, each and every one is different. Her lyrics are strong and meaningful, full of sadness, anger, and hope. She's an amazing singer and I think she's awesome.
I have yet to see Nikka Costa live. She is another artist that most of my friends don't listen to, but I'd still love to see her perform. Akeem and I were going to go and see her last October, but she had to reschedule her tour. And when she came back later in December, the night of her show was the night I had to take my Portuguese final. Doors opened at 7 pm and my test started at 7 pm. Life sucks. But it's ok. She's got a long career ahead of her, and I'm sure she'll come back around to Atlanta |
