The objective of this project is to have the song "Thirty-Three" played on request shows around the world, with a specific goal of having it played on "Total Request Live" on MTV. Best Buy is offering a bonus 5-song cd of previously unreleased music with MACHINA/The Machines of God minuimum of 100 per store, on February 29, when Machina is released.

The Smashing Pumpkins sued former manager Sharon Osbourne Tuesday in California court, alleging fraud, breach of contract and other charges. Osbourne, wife and manager of heavy-metal singer Ozzy Osbourne, quit her post last month, seven weeks before the release of the band's MACHINA/the machines of God (Feb. 29). At the time, she said in a statement that Pumpkins leader Billy Corgan was "making [her] sick." "This timing portrays a calculated, vindictive attempt to damage the group both emotionally and professionally," the Pumpkins said in their lawsuit. A representative for Osbourne said Wednesday he had not seen the filing and could not comment.
