| What is a Professional Detail? |
| Wade has a structred methodology for detailing. This includes: Stage 1: De-trash and Vacuum - Examples: Remove all debris from exterior, interior and trunk. Vacuum and dry brush all carpeting and mats. Pre-spot carpet stains. Use compressed air and detail brush on all cracks and seams. Stage 2: Hand Wash - Examples: Follow wash bay equipment procedures. Cool all surfaces, apply degreaser to tires, rims and fender wells. Hand scrub grease spot areas and rinse with pressure washer. Hand wash entire vehicle from top to bottom. Completely hand dry vehicle. Stage 3: Interior Detail - Examples: Clean headliner, visors, dashboard, door panels & jams, carpets, mats, seats, rear window deck, back of front seat, ash trays, center console and glove box. Detail and treat all surfaces. Use special supplies for appropriate surfaces (e.g., leather, carpet, vinyl). Hand clean vents and fixtures, etc. Stage 4: Exterior Dress - Examples: Dress tires, fender wells, lower spoilers, exterior molding, door handles, door jam seals, wiper cowling, wipters. Engine can be an optional procedure. Stage 5: Exterior Detail - Examples: Surface prep, compounding, polishing and waxing. A number of procedures are determined by the overall condition of your paint. All cars are hand clayed as well. Car is compounded and polished where required. Final phase is waxing entire car by hand then buffed with a specialized low speed circular buffer. Stage 5: Final Inspection & Touch-up - Examples: Review formal cehcklist to evaluate stages 1-5. Windows are cleaned inside and out. Any areas that do not pass inspection are redone. |
