Good morning brothers and Sisters. We have been taught repeatedly,
“We do not know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future.”
Being Catholic today means being open to ridicule, accusation and attacks, and so its with a great deal of apprehension, but absolute Faith in God that we are here this morning, as young adults, ready to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and to be counted as full-fledged member of the Catholic Faith.
I not only simply welcome you our loved ones, parents, children, sponsors, family members, friends, visitors, parishioners but more importantly ask that you support us in our daily walk. Do not hesitate to challenge us to holiness and to help keep us on the straight and narrow path.
I also implore that you make this celebration truly a deeply spiritual occasion, for indeed we need all the necessary graces to persevere.
And finally we say a hearty welcome to Bishop Gabriel Malzaire who is here to lead us in prayer; at the Eucharistic table and to confer the Sacrament of Confirmation.
Once again welcome to all.
