EDUCATION

Master Of Engineering ManagementLawrence Technological University

The Master of Engineering Management program is unique to Lawrence Tech. The program is designed to enhance student’s technical knowledge and develop necessary leadership skills to successfully manage existing and emerging technologies. I expect the program to provide me with the knowledge and skills required to advance in my career. The courses are conveniently offered onsite at my workplace and online.

Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineers (Co-op) (Minor in Automotive Engineering)University of Windsor

University of Windsor’s Mechanical Engineering program is unique to other universities in that it offers students to specialize in specific areas. Students must decide which area they would like to pursue upon completion of the second academic year. My objectives for choosing the automotive option were to build my technical knowledge of automotive vehicles in order to have a competitive edge in my career.

ENGINEERING RELATED TRAINING

Formula SAE Team Member

I was chosen over fifty applicants to be one of the twelve selected members by the University of Windsor to design and compete in the 2005 FSAE program. The one year program changed my life. The experience I gained was from all areas of a real world engineering environment. Several key skills that I learned were team management, time management, leadership, marketing, and budgeting. To learn more please visit my FSAE page.

Technical Skills

  • Welding; MIG, TIG, oxy acetylene, brazing, & plasma cutting

I took an elective in my post secondary education dealing with the science and engineering of welding. I’ve worked with all the above welding methods in shop class and projects at school. My two semesters I spent working at Siemens VDO I learned many other forms of welding plastics such as sonic, laser, and vibration.

  • General manufacturing skills (worked on a lathe, drill press, vertical milling machine, etc)

Throughout high school I worked in a machine shop. Our project was mainly a tack hammer. The project was about 15 hours worth of work. We learned how to case harden the head, knurl the handle, taper the shaft, tap and die the bottom handle, heat and bend the head, vertical mill the head, and all required tight specific tolerances.

Computer Skills

  • Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint & Outlook. I have taken several advanced online courses to improve my Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • On Board Diagnostics Software. I have worked with several different programs that allow me to read and log broadcasted CAN messages for diagnostic purposes.
  • HTML (Designed this webpage), minor C++ and JAVA programming, Matlab.
