1.  How old were you when you joined?
     I was 18.

2.  Did you join at the start of World War II?
     No, I did not join until 1941.

3.  Why did you join?
     I joined because everyone else was.

4.  What campaigns were you in?  Which was the toughest?
     I campaigned in England, Sicily, Italy, France and Belgium.  Italy was the toughest.

5.  Where did you enlist?
     I enlisted in Lashburn.

6.  Where did you train?
     I trained at St. Jerome, Quebec.

7.  What was your rank?
     I was a corporal.

8.  Did you serve with anyone from Lashburn?
     No.

9.  Were you wounded?
     No, not seriously.

10.  What did you do for fun?
       We drank and looked for girls.

11.  What kind of gun did you use?
       I trained with a Tommy gun, then I was given a 303.

12.  Are there other interesting things you want to share?
       We fought the Hitler Youth, some of them were only 13 years old.  They had better weapons        and our tanks sucked.

13.  Did you come home right away?
      We stayed until October.
