Guys...
Just some dates I've been on. More to come. I hope....
Date number one: My very first date was to my highschool homecoming when I was junior. I asked this really popular basketball player named Nathan Herzog. I was totally stunned and surprised when he actually said yes. I was totally excited and couldn't wait. So the night came... he picked me up and gave me this wonder mum! I loved it. I gave him this cute little bear that was dressed up like an indian, because our highschool mascot is an indian. Anyway... we got there and were having an ok time until I started to notice all his friends making fun of me. So I went off with one of my friends for a while. When I came back he tried to get me to sit with him again but I wouldn't. I just couldn't stand being made fun of. He eventually came after me and we sat somewhere else. I don't really remember if we won that night or not. But Nathan did catch one of those little footballs and gave it to me. I still have it tucked away in one of my drawers. We got quick meal at Jack in the Box and then went to the homecoming dance. We didn't dance together at all. I was with my friends and he was with his. Later he took me home, gave me hug and left. I don't think that was a good date at all.

Date number two: My second date was later that same school year at my drama banquet. I asked this guy who I hah had a crush on in my Biology II class names Tim Cappell. He was really smart and a Senior! He picked me up the night of the banquet and we made it to the Hotel really early. There was hardly anyone there so we just rode the elevators around for fun. Then the whole banquet started and we ate, watched the movie, and talked and laughed. Then the most embarrassing thing happened. On the tables there were candles for everyone. Well my friend Lauren, her's went out. So I took an empty sugar packet and lit it with mine in order to light hers again. Unfortunately the paper burned to quickly and burned my fingers. I freaked out and dropped the ball of flame right into Tim's lap! He simply looked at it as it burned on his lap! Not knowing anything else to do, I slapped at the flame, hoping to get it out. It eventually went out and Tim turned bright red, as well as me. Everyone at the table laughed at me and Tim's friend Nathan kept saying that I am the only one he knows who would burn a guys pants in order to touch his "special area." I didn't do that on purpose!! I just wanted to get the fire out!! But other than that we danced a little bit and had a fairly good time. It was definately alot more fun than my first date.

Date Number Three: Of my first three dates, I have to say this one is the best one! I started liking him a while back but I never got the chance to ask him out because he started dating this girl named Alena. Then I found out that they had broken up. I waited a while till I became better friends with him and asked him out. He said he wasn't looking for a relationship but I just wanted to go out and have some fun anyway. So we decided to go out to a movie and hang at the mall. That day, August 4th, 2001, he picked me up around four and we headed off toward Grapevine Mills. You would not believe how packed the place was! It took us quite some time to find a parking spot. But we eventually found one and headed inside. We got to the movie theatre and bought tickets for the new movie, "Rush Hour 2." It was a fantastic movie. It was hilarious and we both really enjoyed it. I had been really nervous about what movie to pick because I wanted to watch something we'd both enjoy. After the movie we simply walked around the mall for a while. I looked at some clothes and bought some dice for my car! We talked and talked and talked. It was great! Then we wanted to leave, but we weren't quite sure where we had parked. We actually found his truck pretty easily and debated what to do next. We eventually ended up at the park with some Schlotsky's Food. So we spent a lot of time sitting in his car, talking, eating, and just having a good time. I could not believe how much we talked and all we talked about. I was surprised at how we never had any of those wierd akward moments. Well not until we were standing on my porch doorstep. Then my Dad came out and told us to be quiet which totally killed nay moment possible, and Nick left. I didn't get a hug or anything. Oh well... But I had the best time and had so much fun! I hope he enjoyed it as much as I did!

Date Number Four: This is the first date where I was asked out, instead of me asking. Now Chris and I have been friends for a few years now, we went to highschool together and kept in contact during our first year of college. On our Christmas Break I was talking with him via Instant Messenger when he asked me to take him out. You see... Chris doesn't have a car because he hasn't lived at home in a couple of years being off at the TAMS program and such. After debating the subject he decided it would be a date. Alright i thought, this will be fun. I hadn't seen Chris in like a year so we could really catch up. After desperately trying to figure out where Chris's house actually was I picked him up and we were off. Our first stop for the evening was the marvelous restaurant Chili's. Now the thing that i noticed was how indecisive we both were. We couldn't decide whether it was a date or just hanging out, couldn't figure out where we were going to go have dinner, and couldn't decide what we were going to do after. Anyways... Dinner was great because Hey!, it was Chili's and we talked a great deal. It was nice that we could just talk. Chris was quite adament that he was going to pay for everything since I was driving... I don't know, maybe he felt guilty or something. LOL! After dinner we somehow both agreed to go bowling. Wonderful idea, I love bowling! Once again we talked and really connected. We played two games which Chris one of course. I suck at bowling! hehehe. I think I bowled a 60... something like that. After having a great time at the bowling alley it was midnight and I took Chris home. We hugged and said goodnight. I'd have to say it was quite a pleasant evening.
Date Number Five: We have now made history! Not only have I been asked out on a date, but I've been asked out for a second date! This is officially my first second date. Yeah a few days later while talking to Chris once again on the Instant Messanger he asked me out on another date. Of course I would be picking him up but that is alright. It took us a few more days to finally decide when it would be and what we would do. After much debate we concluded on Ice Skating. I'd have to say my ice skating skills are as bad as my bowling skills. I was in for another humiliating, but nevertheless fun, evening. You would think after having already been to Chris's house i would have no problem finding it right? No that's not the way things work out for me. I knew which street it was, I just wasn't quite so sure on which house it exactly was. I stopped in front of a house that had its lights on and thankfully it was the correct house. Chris complained that I was late, but hey! I was late by 4 minutes!!! We chuckled of course and headed off towards the skating rink. We talked some more about school and music we liked, just the general chit chat. Upon arriving at the rink we were surprised to fin how crowded it was, apparently there was a hockey game going on, so we headed off to a different ice skating rink. We got our passes and skates and got ready to skate, but Chris was having difficulty trying to figure out how to lock the locker. **sighs** Men.... After finally reading the directions and locking the locker we headed out onto the ice. It was quite fun. Though I fell about 5 times, got 3 massive bruises, screamed alot, and totally embarrassed myself, I'd have to say it turned out to be quite an eventful evening. We both agreed it was much better than the plain old "Dinner and a movie." To get warmed up we went to Starbucks and got delicsious Hot Apple Cider. MMmmm. Then till midnight we sat in my car and talked. I'd have to say I had a lot of fun.

Again we have made history!! I have been asked out on a third date. My friend Chris came home for two weeks from college this summer and a few days before he had to leave to go back, we went out on another date. Of course this date had to be fun and couldn't be the same old same old. We originally planned on going to the lake and renting a sail boat, but it was too short of a time to get that done. So we settled for a movie and a night of star gazing. I picked him up as usual and we headed to the theatre. We watched "Bad Company" starring Chris Rock and Anthony Hopkins. Quite a funny movie and worth watching. After the movie we took a surprise turn and dined at "Fridays." I wasn't expecting dinner but it turned out to be quite lovely. Whenever we go out Chris and I always have wondeerful conversations. Just fabulous indeed. Once we were finished with that we had to find a place to look at the stars (Chris had brought his telescope in order to do so). When we arrived at the park there already was a car there and a bunch of kids hanging out. We nervously got out as the evil teens starred at us. But I wasn't going to let those little punks ruin my night so we went ahead and unloaded the telescope. After what seemed like the longest hike ever, we made it to the perfect spot. Chris tinkered around with the telescope and we saw a couple stars but then we were just content to sit on the blanket and talk some more. It's really nice to have someone to talk to and really open up with. Sadly he went back to Boston and I won't see him again till Christmas. But that's ok.. we have the Internet. :)

Date number 8: When I turned 18 my brother took my to my first club which now is my fave club. It's called The Church which in Deep Ellum. It's a great gothic club. While I was there I met this guy named Robert. He's my buddy and when I can get ahold of him we always have amazing conversations. Well we haven't really gone on dates but we have hung out alot together. Most of the time it consists of being at his place playing video games. But there is the occasional trip to the mall or watching a movie. It really depends on the situation and financial accesibility. So we'll just all the time I've spent with Robert as a date b/c that's probably what it adds up to.

Ok so I've probably had some dates squeezed in there some where but i really can't remember. I'll let you know about my new boy. At the moment I'm dating my best friend's brother in law David. David's ... interesting. He really doesn't match any of the types of guys i've liked before. He is about 24, an engineering major, not a practicing christian, plays hockey, and kind of nerdy/preppy. But that's ok. It was kind of odd how we got together. I always thought he was cute and used to drive Liss insane whenever he was around. But one day back in October of 2003 he was around while Liss and I were hanging out. When I got home that night Liss told me how David kept saying nice things about me and kept talking about me. Next thing I know, through Liss, he starts flirting with me. Odd much... b/c guys really don't flirt with me. Loe and behold he tries to push me off onto his bud Luke and I'm all "no i don't think so." I really don't know why he did that but then he realized that I liked him back and jumped at the chance. A couple days later we had our first date. I was kind of nervous around him so we just had a in home date where we ate pizza and watched Monty Python and the Search for the Holy Grail. We've been dating ever since and so far all is good. I go to his hockey games, we hang out and watch t.v., quote Ralph Wiggum,, and sometimes he goes to my plays at school. He's supposed to be taking me to a "real" hockey game soon.. I'll keep you posted.

Date number 7: This date took place back in April of 2002. It wasn't so much a date date but two people hanging out and getting to know one another. It was with my brother's friend Jason. I've been in love with Jason from the first moment I saw him. He's just so gorgeous, nice, funny, and wonderful. Anyways... he picked me up and we headed for the Zoo where we spent a most eventful day watching cute animals, especially the baby Orangatan and the mewing Tigers. It was a fun day and it was good to just connect with Jason on a personal level. We usually only see each other for a few minutes while he's at work or for brief conversations online. Hopefully our paths will cross again and sparks will fly. We'll just have to wait and see.
