NEW From AMB - LASERkit

The first release of this kit is designed to be used with the newly released
Walthers Operating Oil Pump (not included) as shown in these photos.
The Tower, Base, Machinery and Storage Shacks are included, as is
a laser cut wooden Drill Casing Storage Rack (not pictured).
The model is based upon an article that appeared in a 1952 issue of MODEL RAILROADER.
Construction is standard AMB - LASERkit tabbed and  notched sub-assemblies,
with lots of Peel & Stick Bracing Timbers, Roofing, Decking and the usual Doors and Windows.

The main Tower assembly consists of only eight pieces of laser cut 1/32" thick plywood.
These pieces make up all of the diagonal bracing, cross timbers, etc.
All Platform Decking has custom scribed boards with laser produced nail holes appropriately
arranged. Upper Platform Railings consist of two layers of laser cut 1/64" plywood which
makes only eight pieces of Railing necessary for each of the Upper Platforms.

Each "Course" of Base Framing and Support Timbers are laser cut as "units" which include
horizontal cross timbers, legs and knee bracing. Peel & Stick "overlays" add reinforcement
to the cross-grain portions. All "Underfloor Bracing" is of Tab and Slot construction.
Ladder construction consists of laser cut, pre-notched uprights/risers, with Peel & Stick Rungs which
are tabbed on their ends to the "Carrier Sheet" which also doubles as an assembly jig. Simply peel
off the backing paper from the Rung "Fret", position the risers in place, push down to ensure adhesion,
maybe apply a few drops of CA behind an occasional rung for "security", then use a hobby knife to cut
off the tabs, and your Ladder(s) are ready to mount to the Tower.
The Machinery and Storage Sheds are free-standing structures which may be placed at any location.
This kit is now available and in production! It is LASERKit No. 716. MSRP is $79.95
Initial Production run has been shipped to our Distributors as of 09-20-01

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION NEEDED!!!!!
Anyone who may be able to supply photos and/or drawings of Rotary Type Drilling Equipment, Associated
Drives, Hoists and Cable Pulley/Sheave arrangements is asked to please contact me. I have searched the
Internet for hours looking for information to make model components of these items, all to no avail.

If anyone knows of any websites that would show 'close-ups' of Wellhead Equipment,
or, if you have any photos that could be emailed as jpeg files, it would be greatly appreciated!!!
