Well, my career is a great priority, but I
wanna carry on with music as well.
- How long you
have been involved in media?
For the last 6 months
or so.
- What had
inspired you in making music?
Mainly the will to
explore my own self in a unique way. Also i was inspired by
the western bands that made a difference to the world of
music and i in turn wanna do the same.
- How has your
experience with Pakistani media been so far?
I
think the media is pretty supportive as all the hype of rock
music is mainly bcoz of the media projection.
- Your debut
video "Nishaan" is now being aired on music channels rather
frequently. What's the concept behind the
video?
As yet only one video which is not even
official is being aired on IM.We r planning to shoot an
official video for NISHAAN real soon. The present version is
just a live kinda recording by IM.
- A media
revolution seems to be in session in Pakistan mostly through
music. Would you say this applies to other fields of media
as well?
Im not too sure what to comment on
this.Im not too much into the local media.
- How far do
you see Pakistani media extend itself?
I think
they r moving on the rite lines and with a certain level of
creativity and of course effort, they can do wonders. we
have loads of talent in Pakistan.
- How
importance a role does play in terms of national outlook? Do
you see our media meeting all criteria?
well not
exactly. Our TV channels are doing a good job, but i think
they have a long way yet to go if they r competing with the
international media. So for now they should just try to not
loose their individuality and try and improve with
time.
- What flaws do
you see in Pakistani media today?
Firstly i think
our media has not revolutionized with the changing times.
And so they r way behind the international standards. In
recent years some good dynamic changes have been made but
for more than a decade before that, there has been a static
phase.
- What about
your music education?
I dint take any professional
music education, just learnt from my brother and am trying
to improve my skills with the guitar.
- Tell us
something about your Music Equipments
I own a
samick electric guitar which is an imitation of the Gibson's
lespaul. Plus i have a fender guitar amp and some effect
paddles. I guess that�s all a guitarist needs.
- Tell us about
your recordings (describe your style & every
recording)
As yet we have done only one recording
and that of the song nishaan. xulfi of EP produced it. As
for style, our music is alternative rock, which means there
would be stuff for the head bangers as well as mellow and
slow stuff. We arnt going to follow a particular
pattern.
- What we can
expect from "CALL" in the future? Have you chalked out an
entire plan. If so, please to share it with us
We
r planning to come up with our album by the end of april.
Other than that our two video shoots r scheduled. So
inshallah we will try to bring a revolution in the Pakistan
music scene. An effort which was initiated by EP.
- Sources of
inspiration?
Western bands mainly.Disturbed,
Godsmack, creed, guns n roses.
- Other
occupations?
None other as yet.
- Have you ever
fall in love?
lolz! i dint really think love
exists. But now im being proven wrong. As something so
special as entered my life. So the truth is that i am
falling in love with music in a true sense. I hope i can do
justice with it.
- What do you
do to earn for living?
I am glad i don�t have to
worry about that as yet. But i do hope that i start earning
soon :)
- Type of music
you like?
Same as the type we play Rock music. But
occasionally, anything that sounds good.

you hate?
Pop
- Have you ever
played live?
Its just a couple of times that we
did DAT performances, other than that, we only believe in
live playing
- What inspires
you when composing a song?
The thoughts and
feelings at that moment i must say. Also the mood.
- What comes
deeper from your soul, music or
lyrics?
Music.
- What do you
think about other Pakistani artists?
I think they
r doing a great job. Would like to advise them to be
original and make music for the sake of making good music
and not just for fame. EP and Fuzon are doing a great
job.
- How would you
like to remembered?
As someone who made a good
difference in this world in which ever way
possible.
- Favorite
musician?
My elder brother 'sunny' and 'david
draimen' of disturbed.
- Favorite
songs?
NISHAAN(being our own song),
prayer(disturbed), straight out of line(godsmack)...and many
more.
- Favorite
actor?
I only watch English movies....so the
favorite one would be 'Nicholas Cage.
- Favorite
actress?
Julia Roberts.
- What do you
think about "Jumpy"?
Don�t know anything
about it.
