2000  Treasurer's Report
The Alay Kapwa sa Lucena 2000 project was realized last May, only because of the bounteous funds raised from the Mrs Lucena Project. A total revenue of $29,305 was collectively raised by the Mrs Lucena candidates. After the itemized expenses and bank charges, the remaining balance was $8,860. From this amount, $1,560 were spent for balikbayan boxes, and shipment costs for these boxes containing used clothing, canes and walkers, for the "Alay Kapwa sa Lucena 2000. $300 were used to rent a pulse oximeter and for miscellaneous items. The remaining $7,000 were brought to the Philippines and exchanged at the rate of P41.36, the amount totaling to P289,520. The Alay Kapwa Project incurred a total of P176,942.52 in expenses and disbursed as follows:;

Medical Mission - $ 18,202.65

Dental Mission-    $   6,033.25
Miscellaneous and/or related expenses for the appreciation dinner, labor for repackaging the relief goods, transportation for hauling said goods, snacks and drinks for volunteers, donated funds to UGAT Lucena and to St Ferdinand Cathedral amounted to a total of P20,825. An additional$500 solicited by one of the Mrs Lucena candidate (Lina Sandoval) from various souces in the Philippines was given to the Carmelite sisters. The remaining balance, as previously mentioned elsewhere in this newsletter, was deposited in the bank and added to the LASCI Scholarship Program Fund.
The ending balance of the Scholarship Program  Fund as of May 31,2000 came up to P408,245. currently, the LASCI account a Bank of America has a remaining balance of $1,455.44, as of the statement period ending September 20,2000. Corresponding checks and receipts to all these expenses have been accounted for.
