it is raining today, and i bought a new battery for my car - $85, i came into tafe, but there is no one in the print making building, that is where i paint, so i can't paint unless someone else shows up, like Lyndon or Kelly, i can smell popcorn, there is no one else in the computer room, ah, just like old times.

did i tell you i'm painting the kermit phone, i've turned it into a more abstract piece, like little parts of the phone in a "River of Fone", it is my topological study, and my colour installation study i started yesterday, i am doing Blobs Singing. i've got little blobs of fluorescent modelling wax, and they have abstract faces on them, so i am going to try to paint them to bring the faces out.

i have started doing my geology assignment, i thought i would do some more on it today, i think i am worried about finishing it, even though the content is really easy for me, i can't tell how long it will take, maybe that is why i keep procrastinating it. when i started it, realised that i was quite enjoying doing it, it was like writing an essay about rocks, and we didn't write a lot of essays for geology at QUT, did i tell you Sonia is studying engineering?

i saw a new bird today that i've never seen, it was floating on the river near the beach, it had a long head like a swan, but a cresty bit on its head like a cassowary, and it its body was too small to be a swan, so i must look it up in a book, i am calling it dinosaur bird, to remind me of its cresty head. i bought a heater 3 days ago, one of the glowy red ones like what we used to have in the caravan when i was little, it is my new friend :)

>Do you know that you have your email set on send as html?

yuk! how revolting! now that you have told me, i'll set it to plain text, having to read html drives me crazy, is it better now? it sounds like something that hotmail would set as a default

>have kind of been learning how to try and get my bike >on the centre stand. I reckon its too heavy, grant >reckons it's all about technique.

i reckon it is a bit of both, i know i've tried to put a bike up on the stand and i couldn't do it either, but it wasn't my bike that i had to practice with every day to get right.

>from a girl at uq who asks about being little and pillioning being a >pain. someone responded: don't pillion fat bastards.

ha ha ha

>sorry I didn't respond to your msg asking about when I >was close to a landline. I didn't get it til late, >midnightish.

it doesnt' matter cause i fixed the Premiere window, and i found out how to turn on the sound recorder, but i don't know why it worked. now i want to know how to record longer sound files, then again, i'm not sure that my computer is fast enough to drive longer files. the Dreams track by Quench that you sent me as a .wav file is really big, and it kind of hiccups on that file, if it isn't doing anything else. computer has only got 16 Meg of RAM, so i'll have to get some more

>soft flour cakes are tasty! they are a chinese things.

all chinese cakey things are tasty, when i was at Queen Vic Markets, Amber and I went to a Asian grocery shop, and i bought some litchee squash, and it was very tasty, and in the same shop i saw Lotus Cakes! and it wasn't the August Moon Festival, because it isn't August yet

i didn't buy any because i thought i was going to come back during the week, and buy more food, but Vic Markets are only open on weekends. so i missed out. there is a Turkish supermarket in Mildura, but not an Asian.

>hope you are well and not ahving a tanty at the >library. Why is it that you get so mad often there? is >it merely because they are inefficient?

what an astute perception. i think i get mad at the library because the Internet and email are focus for my mad. you or someone else pointed out to me once before that the computers make me angry. maybe it is the radiation coming out of the screen that makes people angry, or maybe it is whatever they have in common with printers and photocopiers, then make people mad. computers make me think of people, people that made them and designed them, and often when i am mad, i am mad at dodgey technology.
