oh yeah well, once again, the puter is poking along trying to make a very big file, sometimes i think that i should feel sorry for it it is Wednesday after Beltane, the 5th, i want a drink of water M and i finished watching the Big Blue, the extended version, and the story makes much more sense to me now i've just been depressed for the last week or so and i couldn't face 3DStudio, then a few days ago i started to feel better, and i felt inspired to make some fruity loops, thought about registering the software, because the save feature doesn't work, and i trying synchronising live loops to a CD so now i am working with a scene of the aurora that is 196 frames, and the aurora waves slowly, i hid everything else but the sea, rendered a tif stack, then i unhid the music lines, and i am going to make another tif stack, then i will add things one at a time for a stretch of 196 frames eg icebergs, then towers and path, then tree and claws i looked at the singtree7.avi prototype, and i don't like how the tree sings, because the clipping style of editting i don't like anymore, it makes the whole demeaner of the clip jumpy, and not very ambiant at all :) it seems like there are blue quandongs everyone, there is even one in this tin of pencils, i think it is from Petrie Park i noticed a few weeks ago that there are huge gaps in my 2002 student diary, so i think i will update it from the computer journal and the little black diary and make the student diary into a collage diary as much as i can Wednesday 12th so when i have figured out how to copy the motion of the claws to the other claws, then i can copy the undulating algae glow on the icebergs to a repetitive pattern, i have made copies of the claws, and slid the motion keys along tracks to repeat the motion throughout the scene but i don't know how to apply that motion to other objects, i wonder if objects can inherit motion paths? it is 4pm and now i am hungry Friday, finished off the Valley of Horses! :) YAY! i still want to be Ayla ok, so what is the problem? ah yes, the problem still is, repetition of motion how to get all the claws to move up and down through the scene, the icebergs breathing, and glowing, and the blobs dancing through the entire scene, inheriting motion paths things that move 1.tree 2.icebergs 3. aurora 4.path, cobbles? 5.beatblobs 6.lights 7.claws 8. camera 9.spots 10.sea 11.plankton 12.music lines if i have a cluster of claws, ok so i have repeated the glowing lichens on the icebergs, but not the breathing yet Monday 24th, went to 2nd CoDA meeting, at Biala, it was good Wednesday 26th, today i look at the file of the movie, of the singing tree, and i am happy with it. i watched it 5 times in a row, and it makes me feel good, i declare it to be finished, now, i will make tea ah, except for that bloody masthead! Thursday except then, of course, M says, it should be longer. i tried to explain why it wasn't longer but i couldn't do it very well, so then i resurrected the velvet organ sound, and mixed the sound files together, and repeated the tif stacks to the end, so now it is longer, he wants it to be about 4 minutes, well, that will be next so now i just have to put the masthead in, make credits and title, and it will be done, review the plan so there it goes, another copy of the final file, without, title and credits, and masthead Friday well, i just reviewed that final file, and i am well pleased, and for the result i am well pleased that M suggested that i make it longer! oh the subject of the TIF stacks, i seem to so far have all of the TIFs that are in breath2.avi, however now comes the task of making an Edit Decision List, so far this will consist of a list of the TIF Stacks as they are referred to by breath2.avi, of course, breath2.avi doesn't refer to the TIF stacks but to .avi files made of the TIFs, and not necessarily all of the smaller clips are in breath2.avi THE TIF STACKS aurora.avi does not refer to the first tifs of this stack, they are discarded i continued this stream in another file, tifstak.txt www page of all the avi's then i could see them all moving together it is Carol's Birthday today, the 28th, and i think she might be 28, or 27, i can never remember, she was 18 years in 1995, no, she is actually 26 years old, she just seems to be so much older. so today i am finishing off her gift, i have: the book, Dream Alchemy the mobile, it is kind of finished, attach the bark to it, fur it up the spell kit, make boats, assemble it, check the list the cake, start from scratch i am not sure what to do with the cake, i've got coconut cream, bananas, tinned mangoes!, and it could be a tropical cake, with heaps of fruit in it, and maybe sultanas, yum! that sounds excellent, and shavings of halva to go on the top. so to make it into a list, spell kit: check the list of ingrediants wash up, [/] cut my nails the cake, assemble ingrediants make it, bake it [/] spell kit: make little boats, charcoal? book for spell kit, finish sewing it assemble spell kit, pack all the gifts afternoon: working on the title, it is "Breathe", i've got a text box, over a scene of icebergs, 48 frames. and the text fades out. mast head i have baked the cake and i am scrapping the spell kit, but i'll finish the little book, and pack the gifts, and that will be that, oh yes, seeing Breathe nearly finished is very exciting credits: can just be a tif, made in Photoshop animation: larysa fabok post-production: visual eyes creative sound: Symphony by Hybrid thanks to Carol copyright 2003 OH! it is very exciting!! but i am working on the title of my showreel! as in rendering the text into a scene, i am calling it Breathe because the icebergs breathe. i suppose it is the same as the director saying, "that's a wrap" meaning all the shooting/camera work is done, and the film moves into post production, i have to render the Courier Mail masthead into a scene somewhere, get the license for the sound, and THEN i can take it to Visual Eyes, who are the people who will print it to video tape and then i will have a party, and then i will enter the Short Cut Film Festival and i am so happy with it. :) and i can't wait to see it on a big screen, that is part of the competition, all the entries get screened as part of the festival. it is Carol's birthday today as well, she is having a dinner party this evening, i baked her a tropical cake, with coconut cream, mango, and banana, and i will decorate it with flowers, and i bought her a book and made her a mobile. the book is called Dream Alchemy by Jane Teresa Anderson. when i said i was not-so-Alien anymore, i had just received an email message from Michelle Fabok from Wollongong, she wanted to know about me, AND her grandfather comes from Czechoslovakia, which is where my dad comes from, she is the first random Fabok to email me, who might actually be related to me. and it is exciting, because i don't know anyone from the mother country (or father's country) so i hope she replies to me again, and i haven't scared her off or anything. Saturday went to C's party last night, it was hot and cramped and noisy, but the snacks were good, and they did not make croquembouche, so my constitutional cake was the birthday cake. now i have rendered a section of masthead, and i have put in the project, and that is being rendered, and it is cranking along with heaps of free memory :o for a change STAK matching it feels wierd to be running out of things to do on the computer, oh, still have to match up the tif stacks to the project file, ah yes i can write them on the project file, on the comment []s i think that the matching up would work better on a spreadsheet perhaps, except i deinstalled that
