October, already 11th, Saturday: saw finding Nemo with my mum 12th, Sunday: came back from Nambour 13th, Monday: saw Patricia, depressed 14th, Tuesday morning: depressed, read Clan of the Cave Bear afternoon: started making a storyboard collage in Photoshop, then looked at all the pictures on the hard drive concerning singtree project, used paintshop pro, because it has a thumbnail browser thought about making a browser out of java, as i usually do because i would really like to see as many pictures at once as i can 15th, it is a Wednesday, and i do not like this set up for the computer my head is full of snot and as i type, i can feel my eardrum popping in and out, it is quite disturbing Gah! and how annoying is that? nearly all of the Hotmail that i saved before i went to Nambour, i somehow got the inbox menu instead of the messages, #((*$^$*($(#))=- fuck fuck fuck and the Object Lesson of the Day is: when something is very difficult to do, i should write down as much documentation as i can about it, i had so much trouble with tinymush and i still didn't write down any stuff about how to start it, and log on to it, i mentioned that i had trouble with the passwords and then not what they were, login as wizard, password potrzebie, and then i remember i killed the tinymush i couple of times without shutdown, but i didn't write down what happened when i did it time to do the washing afternoon: i went to hide in my flat, and i think that i was trying to force a confrontation with Michael, it felt horrible, i was depressed 16th, Thursday: letters arrive from mum, C (is depressed and so is Gaye) and Jim Wilson, and Centrelink, you guessed it, work for the dole again, no, it was a Mutual Obligation thing actually, at some place i have never heard of so i might go there and check them out, anyway, Des rang back and said that thanks, he has my phone number now, he was in Nimbin, i can see him in the last week of October, Monday the 27th, til Thursday, when he will be in Brisbane every day, and i should call him before i see him, to remind him about the plants, he wants some orpiment, i presume preferably in its natural state and some sulfur, for making gem elixirs, i suppose i could just ring up Geology at QUT, and then i could go and see Tony Raftry, and wow, i can't rmeember his name, the lab techy dude that would always tell me, "no, you don't want to be a lab technician" and orpiment they might carry ground up at Eckerslies to put in oil paint, and i want to go to Eckerslies and i could try that lapidary place at the end of the road that i haven't been to yet dinner: cooked spaghetti bo-lag-nay-se 17th, Friday: i am still trying to work out what the date is it rains, otherwise i would go to my flat for the butter diary, but the calendar on the computer does work, when it remembers what day it is today, it seems to have trouble with it, i wanted to go to Al-Anon, but going out will be a chore, now i have that blank indecision mind, where i can't decide to do anything, so i thought i should sit down and write that down anyway, the sounds of the keyboard is making my ears pop again i am glad that i sat down to write because now i feel more like going out, it was the orpiment that did it. the monitor has started singing again, goddam, the computer sings too :(, it wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't just singing the same note, i don't know if keeping the singing monitor is a very good idea. as for the Project, the showreel, i am still stalled on the rendering, another approach could be to go back to the modelling, and create one scene that contains the desirable aspects from all the other scenes in the scene directory, those being: -the algae changning colour to the beat -the aurora ripples -the bass beat blob, -icebergs breathing -sea rippling i seem to think that there is a list of these somewhere that's it isn't it? there is a host of little jobs to do, and they keep multiplying into more and more smaller jobs, and bringing them all back together is another job in itself Saturday: started going through all the worlds of Ambiant Antartica, Michael, hyperactive and excited about Nathan and Gillian's new baby did some more on Tinymush, still don't know how it knows what to do with the db, and transactions, and don't know how it makes LarysaMUSH.conf, or the equivalent Sunday: "when the world ends..." aternoon: finished going through the meshes and leaving comments in the summary info, there is a list somewhere of all the elements that i want to display, to have in the primary scenes, above water and below watched Matrix reloaded and some other movie 10:15 pm getting tired now, did some more modelling with music.max and beatbar.max 20th, Monday: wento Centrelink, and wento Visual Eyes, they will be all there over Christmas, Darren said that a Friday is the best day, because the puter gets used mon-thurs render a stack from music.max render a stack from beatbar.max worked on these two meshes, beatbar is going to take a long time to render a .avi Tuesday: 21st October issues with Ambiant Antartica lack of memory, computer crashes working with tif stacks -> avi files leads to loss of quality getting boring -> can do something about this by going to do something else, drawing painting walking reading memory thing, it is too hard to think about that. Keeping it Simple would be a better way to overcome that, simplifying the mesh or the project so that the puter doesn't crash forgetting to save meshes when they have really developed and the computer crashes oh ho, and not to mention, it is getting hotter and hotter, and that makes it harder to think, and i just filled up my HD! :o with Premiere preview files, and avi files at 756X576, so i guess, i'll have to stop doing that because the tif stack isn't nearly big enough yet oh yes, and i don't like the video so far anymore, it is too choppy and i'm thinking making transition meshes to kludge all the scenery back together and when i want to move files around or rename them, if i refer to them in a Premiere project then i lose the reference oh yes and that is really special now, the project file for the singer tree is gone, deleted or renamed, i guess it is going to have to go now, the format that i had ever since i gave myself that deadline, it has just gone downhill from there Wednesday: rendered a tif stack from music.max new project called catchall is to catch all of the tif stacks together there must be enough tif stacks i can hang that shiny green match[] in my sanctuary as a mobile Thursday: made glue and another piece of paper, M likes it rendered beatbar as a framestack i might be able to increase the virtual memory some more, but as the hard drive fills up with TIFs, i might have to decrease the VM i think i should have written this down sooner, that i could document what i do in a better fashion, i should have written down that, the only way to make the tifstacks into avi's is to render them at 100% speed, then to change the speed at the avi level, that is the only way to see what the tifs will really look like, so all the avi's in the Premiere/ambant/framestak will have to be checked against the kelp avi Saturday: opening of Museum of Brisbane, GoBetweens playing Sunday: yodelling developed to calm the herds of cows or sheeps or goats for milking! :o 26th: call Des Monday, 27th: yesterday i wrote out a file of issues with the Ambiant Antarctica project. i think that i am really mad about it, or mad about something, and it is rubbing off onto the project 31st: Annette's birthday
