It was a pleasure to meet with you on May 1, 1999 to discuss your financial planning needs. As we discussed in our meeting, we have enclosed a financial plan for your review.

The financial plan was prepared based upon the information you provided to us during our meeting, using some basic assumptions that we have detailed within the financial planning report. Additionally, the six fundamental areas of financial planning, including cash and debt management, insurance, tax planning, retirement planning, estate planning and investment management have been incorporated to present a balanced program and plan.

To summarize, the essential goals and objectives discussed during our initial meeting include:

• cash flow review particularly addressing your mortgage repayment and renewal
• investment counselling for Leslie’s $25,000 inheritance
• a discussion of insurance planning
• the accumulation of savings to fund Ashley’s future education
• ensuring that you have appropriate savings in place to retire when Duncan reaches age 62.

The firm’s financial planning service is commission based. Should you choose to implement our proposed recommendations, we will assist you. You understand that Financial Planners Ltd. is not qualified to provide any legal or accounting advice, and you will need to consult with legal and accounting professionals to fulfill this recommended plan.

As with any plan, your financial, employment or lifestyle needs will change over time. Therefore we recommend that your plan be reviewed at least annually and more frequently should your needs change.
