A CONSTITUTION

Preamble

I Larry Paul Perry; son of Lawrence Abrum Perry, son of Raymond and Lydia Ryan Perry; son of Marguerite Fern Packard Perry, daughter of Coney and Mildred Knowles Packard, remembering and honoring my roots, in order to exist in a manner which is consistent with my beliefs and faith in God, do write this personal constitution, as a reminder and guideline for my life and walk.

  1. Put God first in all things you do. Let nothing come between you and God. God is faithful, you be faithful.

  2. Remember that you are perfect only in the eyes of God because you are washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. Men know you by the flesh and few if any recognize the Holy Spirit within you. Let your image reflect your faith, in a humble, God fearing manner, a proper witness in hopes that others might come to know the Lord. Not by your will but by God's..

  3. Read the word diligently, faithfully, with an open heart, receptive to the Holy Spirit, so that God's will should be revealed to you. To study the word of God to prove a point is to miss the point. To read the word is to grow in Jesus Christ and learn God's message and to be richer and fuller in the Spirit. Do not argue with others over the word.

  4. Be receptive to revelations of the Holy Spirit, supple to the will of God, ever vigilant and aware of His presence. Pray when in doubt, pray for guidance, strength, and clarity of purpose.

  5. Arise each morning and thank God for another day in His countenance. Pray each day. Take spiritual sustenance from daily Bible readings. When tired pray, when discouraged pray, when sad or feeling down pray, when happy pray. Go to bed each night thanking God for the fellowship of the day, no matter what has happened.

  6. Be guarded in giving advice. Speak kindly with conviction of those things you do know, as revealed by the Holy Ghost, without lofty airs, humble but assuring. Willingly help those that need your help.

  7. Lust not, for lust wars against the soul. Rebuke not others who would tempt you, pray for them.

  8. The Lord will come at any time, as a thief in the night, be ever watchful and aware of His coming. Do not put off spiritual responsibilities or changes... be not a slothful servant.

  9. My purpose in life is to let the lord God live through me. His great love moves me to do His will.
