Hippo and Baby
(As cute as they look, there are more people are killed in Africa by Hippos each year than by any other animal)
One time, when Larry and I were trying to use these little kayak like boats in Lake Malawi, we heard the children on the shore all yelling at us. We couldn't tell what they were saying, but decided we had better turn back. As we did, we saw a motor boat heading out towards us. Seems we were heading right for a herd of hippos (often they are totally submerged so they can't be seen at all) which would have probably been the end for us. Once again... God protected us! |
